Juliet's POV:

I woke up, feeling happier than I had in awhile. I suppose one's birthday can do that to someone.

I looked at my phone and saw various texts from people wishing me happy birthday. Jenna had sent a lengthy text full of random stuff we'd done as kids on our birthdays and then sweetly wished me a happy birthday.

I got out of bed and walked down the stairs to get something to eat and was greeted with a hug. "Happy birthday!" Corey cried.

"Thanks, Corey."

As I poured a bowl of cereal, Colby came down and gave me a small smile before grabbing something to drink and walking upstairs.

I glanced at Sam. "That was weird, right?"

Sam nodded. "Yeah. He's definitely up to something."

Since the TV was currently free, I decided to take my cereal and watch something. Ultimately, I decided on Phineas and Ferb, to no surprise. I've probably watched it hundreds of time and still enjoy it every time.

Jake walked in and stopped in his tracks. "Oh, come on."

I looked up at him. "What, you wanna play Rocket League?"

"Yeah."

"Sorry, TV was free, so I claimed it. Go play Minecraft or whatever."

Jake walked over to the couch and sat down. "Nah, this is funny. Happy birthday, Juliet. I got something for you. You can open it now, if you want."

I carefully unwrapped the wrapping paper and held up a Slytherin keychain. "This is awesome, Jake. Thanks."

"Yeah. I remember you talking about wanting a keychain, and figured I'd get one."

"Well, I appreciate it. Have you seen Colby today?"

Jake nodded. "He said hi to me."

"Did he seem to be acting weird?"

"Little bit, yeah. But it's Colby, so he's always acting weird."

"I mean, you're not wrong, but I would've thought he would have said at least happy birthday."

"Has he said anything to you?"

"Apart from a small smile, no."

"Huh. I could talk to him if you wanted."

"No, it's okay. I'll talk to him."

As I got up, I saw the door open and Colby walked outside. I ran up and saw him getting in his car.

I received a text from him. 'Be back soon. Love you, Jules'

I debated following him, and ultimately decided to do so, as my curiosity was piqued.

Colby got gas and drove to LAX. Why he'd be driving to the airport at 11 am, I had no idea.

He walked inside and came out about 15-20 minutes later with my siblings. They got into the car and I decided to call my sister.

I saw her answer. "Hey, Julie. What's up?"

"Just wanted to wish you happy birthday and was wondering what you were up to today."

"Not much. Listen, I got to go, but I'm sure we'll see each other soon, okay?"

"Yeah. Sooner than you think." I muttered.

"What?"

"Nothing. See you, Jen."

I hung up, more confused than ever at Colby's suspicious behavior.
