Chapter 77

Sam and Colby Florida Biltmore: We Never Expected This to Happen...

While we were sitting watching a show around 2 AM, Jake and Corey were hearing footsteps and a jolt, but found nothing after walking around.

Five minutes later, Corey had looked out and seen a man in a suit who left.

Jake opened the door and stood in front of the elevator, proving we were the only ones on the floor.

Colby looked at his phone. It was 2:40 AM.

Sam reminded us of the séance at three that we'd be doing.

I crossed my arms. "I don't want to do another séance."

Colby tucked my hair back. "If anything gets too extreme, we'll stop. It works best when we all do it."

I sighed. "Fine. Yeah."

"Do you think this place is even haunted, man? Be honest."

"Honestly, I'm getting pretty creepy vibes, and I usually don't," Jake said.

"Yeah, usually you're like the skeptical one. That's why I ask."

"What are you eating, by the way?"

"It's a beef stick. You want some?" He fed Colby some of his beef stick.

"Why the hell is that so hard?"

"'Cause it is," I shot back. "I dunno."

Sam and Corey walked out of the room into the hall near the elevator.

I felt compelled to join Sam and Corey because, for some unbeknownst reason, I had heard the demon's name as well.

Sam glanced at me. "Hey, Juliet. Are you okay?"

"I don't know," I replied. "I heard that demon's name and I don't know why. Kind of freaks me out."

Corey said he was going through mood changes about doing the ouija board, where I was adamantly against it. He said he wanted to get rid of the Shadow Man.

Sam suggested getting more information on what the Shadow Man wanted from Corey.

We walked back in to hear Jake and Colby saying, "Ew."

We ran up and they told us they'd found a tooth.

"Remember when we found all the teeth by the grave?" Corey asked, referring to our last trip.

Colby put the EMF meter next to the tooth and it started going off. We started freaking out.

Colby told us that this was the only time it'd gone off and they'd searched the entire place.

Jake touched the tooth and it went off.

I frowned at him. "You'd better wash your hands after touching that. You got no idea what germs and such are on it."

Jake picked up the tooth and waved it near my face. I stepped back, glaring at him.

We heard a loud sound, like something moving, and went to investigate.

Some sort of wave hit Corey and his eyes were watering. He then admitted he thought there was something watching him in the mirror. He was starting to get freaked out.

Sam called Kat and told her about the place.

We sat on the couches. Jake and Corey were on one, Sam was on a chair and Colby and I were on the other couch.

As we sat in the dark with a candle, Colby said he wasn't sure this place was that haunted. We'd only heard stories.

Sam said it was mostly stories we'd heard and noises.
