Sam and Colby Stanley Séance
Juliet's POV:
We moved some lollipops to get them in frame. We had two cameras; a regular and a night vision.
We started lighting the candles and the blankets started moving.
Corey and I wanted to go. I don't do séances, thankfully to the respect of the boys. Unfortunately, sometimes they still make me do them.
Corey said he'd go in the other room and said he had a bad feeling.
Colby said the spirits reacted to him.
Corey sat down on the bench and I sat on the floor near him.
The water started to ripple for no apparent reason.
Corey stood up. "What was that? In the closet?"
Jake said we should start.
Sam, Colby, and Jake held hands and told the spirits that they weren't here to do any harm.
"If anyone out there is listening, we just want to know that any voices that we heard, or spirits or some kind of presence," Jake said.
Sam forgot that Lucy did lollipops and doors and asked me and Corey to open the doors.
Corey opened the doors a little more than a crack.
Sam asked if Colby wanted to ask a question and Colby said we needed everyone's energy; mine included.
Corey and I decided to join. The salt was making him feel safe and so long as we didn't have to talk, we'd be okay. They'd ask three questions.
I sat between Sam and Colby and the five of us held hands. Sam greeted the spirits and asked them to give us a sign.
Colby told the spirits to show themselves.
A candle flickered, catching our attention.
We heard a thud that sounded like the door.
"Can I go?" Corey asked.
It happened again. "Can I go? Deadass."
Corey stood up and I followed. I didn't want to do this anymore.
Sam and Jake reasoned that we asked for a noise and got one.
We closed all the doors and sat back down.
Corey asked the last question. "If there is anything; a spirit, a ghost, an entity; if there is anything in the room with us, can you make a sound, can you make something move to let us know that you are here with us?"
It was silent and Sam whispered, "Anything, please."
We heard a sound from the closet and Corey and I ran.
Sam chased after us and Corey and I walked outside.
"What the fuck was that?" Corey wondered.
There was a sound we'd heard in the closet.
"The moment we catch it, we stop," Jake said.
The boys discussed the closet while I stood near Corey, nervous.
Corey glanced at me. "Are you okay?"
"Mm-hmm," I hummed.
Colby reasoned that we should stay.
Jake ran inside, since he was cold.
Sam, Colby, Corey, and I discussed what had happened. Sam and Colby's camera died on 3/4 battery, so we started using Corey's iPhone.
Jake came out, telling us we had to be quiet. The front desk clerk had informed that he'd heard random noises and talking. "What if the random noises are what we heard?"
Sam suggested to get another battery and Jake warned that we couldn't run out of the room.
We got back into the room and Colby continued his thought, thinking we were haunted; not necessarily the places.
Corey said that spirits showed themselves by a knock or a thud, not necessarily getting dragged out of a room.
Sam suggested recording ourselves overnight and Colby agreed about the idea.
We'd review the footage tomorrow since we were exhausted.
The camera was turned off and we fell asleep.
During the night, I felt a kiss on my forehead, but didn't think much of it.
The next morning, Sam explained a dream he'd had. Colby and Corey had been running, and he wasn't able to catch up to them.
Corey had woken up three times, forgetting his dream. In every dream, he'd seen someone chasing us at the Stanley.
"Either of you guys remember your dream?" Sam asked.
"I was driving a little Hot Wheels car," Jake replied.
Colby spoke next. "I was stuck in a hallway for what felt like five hours. You know those dreams that never seem to end? Not like a lucid dream, but you can tell you're in a dream. Imagine a hallway with no doors and you can't escape. It got to the point where I was driving myself insane. I was running and stop because I'd get frustrated about not being able to see the end."
I pursed my lips. "I'm not sure why, but I felt like I was in Lucy's place, forever roaming the halls. I kept being cold, like I was freezing to death."
Colby wrapped an arm around me as we mentioned that the vent had been making weird noises.
We'd laid out stuff for Mrs. Wilson, but she hadn't shown.
We reviewed the footage from last night. Colby had heard scratching and said, "There's Corey and Juliet."
"They dipped, bro," Sam said.
Colby reminded them about Queen Mary, which I hadn't been to.
There were a lot of things we couldn't debunk, so we noted them.
Colby pointed out that Sam was wearing green yet again.
We met Jennifer for breakfast and asked if she'd had dreams, but she hadn't.
We told her about the lollipop, which obviously freaked Jennifer out.
Outside the hotel, we thanked Jennifer for all she'd done and she wanted a group photo, so we took one.
We said goodbye to her, ready to go home. Corey claimed he'd nearly pooped his pants.
Jennifer then said, "If you want to poop your pants, I know somewhere you can go."
"Where?" Corey asked.
"It's in LA. It's called, uh, Witches Forest. My grandpa owns a cabin there and like no one ever goes there."
"Bye, guys!" Corey called.
The forest was haunted, which was freaky.
Corey had already walked off.
I sighed, looking at Sam and Colby. "That's our next location, huh?"
Sam and Colby shared a look before Colby replied, "Probably."
