Dubai Day 1
Juliet's POV:
I felt someone shaking me and groaned. Colby sighed and said, "I know, babe, I know. I officially hate our uncle. I've got coffee for you."
I got up and quickly got ready. By three, we were driving to Dubai, and I was sleeping on Colby. I'm not a morning person by any means.
As soon as we arrived, Elton said, "Alright, boys and Juliet, welcome to Abu Dhabi."
I loudly sipped my coffee and finished it, then tossed it. Here, there was apparently no crime. Elton told us that the top of the mosque was solid gold and that it cost $1.2 billion, and probably more.
We had to walk through separate entrances into a mosque, and Sam pretended to take a pair of Yeezys.
Sam pointed to a sign telling us what we couldn't do. Elton said, "You can't touch a significant other. Colby, Juliet, no coupley stuff."
We explored the temple awhile, and Heath poked Sam's crotch and then took a peace sign Insta pic, which got him in trouble.
We got to an eight star hotel. I thought five was the highest! We entered and the clock looked like a Rolex. Everything appeared to be made of gold. The boys, for some odd reason, wanted to see the bathroom. We passed Aladdin's rug and Colby pulled my arm excitedly. We then passed a live orchestra, and I did some swaying with the music before we walked up to the front desk. Elton asked how much it would be for five people, and was told it would be close to $3,000.
We left the hotel and stood near a fountain, enjoying the sights of Abu Dhabi.
A car for us pulled up, and we got in. We had an hour long car ride. Heath was dancing to the music while I looked out at the sights.
Finally, we reached our hotel room and the guys started screaming like igits. The front desk clerk asked if it was our first time in Dubai, and we said it was.
We sat outside to watch the water dance. One of the guys made a joke about how their water was cooler than ours.
I gave a small shrug. "I don't know. You can drink water from the tap in Boston."
Colby glanced at me. "Really?"
"Oh, yeah. Remember? You drank tap water when you visited my family."
"I did, didn't I? I forgot."
"Mm-hmm. Yeah. Clearly."
Day 2
Our plans consisted of a desert. The land rover we borrowed had four seats, so I was seated between Sam and Colby. They were both holding onto me so I wouldn't fall. I knew one day our bad ideas would kill us, and I wasn't ready to die.
Elton sped the land rover over the sand and lost his hat. I didn't want to lose my snapback as Colby had let me borrow one of his, a favorite of his, and he might kill me for losing it.
Elton got stuck and Colby said, "Elton, I'm sandy."
I shook his hand. "Hi, Sandy, I'm Juliet."
Colby just rolled his eyes before Elton went on. The guys were cursing and Colby attempted to free the car, but couldn't. Elton's record was six minutes.
Colby took over as driver, which we deemed the hot seat. Elton tried to do a backflip and failed the first time, but succeeded the second time.
When Colby started driving, a couple of the guys complained about sand. He got it stuck and then Sam took his turn. Colby was usually a pretty good driver, but had a reckless side to him, which I always loved. The guys started trying to push the car while Elton filmed. Colby had survived 2.5 minutes.
