Chapter 23

Colby and I would be leaving for Australia in a few hours. I was excited to see koalas, and knew that Colby was even more excited. Koalas are his favorite animal.

We arrived at the airport and Colby jokingly asked, "Mind sharing your earbuds with me, babe?"

He knew I would share them, so I simply nodded. Our boarding class was called, so we boarded the plane, and Colby and I instantly put in the earbuds.

When the flight landed, Brennen greeted us at the airport. "Hey, guys! Are you public?"

I laughed. "That's the first question you ask?"

He shrugged. "Guy's gotta know."

Colby rolled his eyes and nodded. "We are."

"#Jolby!" Brennen yelled.

We made our way to Billy's place, where we would be staying during our time in Australia. After we had some time to relax, we changed into something a little nicer, meaning black jeans and a dark gray button down for me.

Billy took us to a Drake concert, which I wasn't super thrilled about. Rap is just too loud for me, and I'm not keen on a lot of the language most songs use. There's only one rap artist I listen to, and it's because of relatable scenarios and is something I actually listen to. That would be NF, by the way.

I stood near the back and Billy hung back a moment with me. "I take it this isn't your scene?"

"No. I don't want to be an imposition on you guys. Go enjoy the concert."

"Are you sure? I can send Colby."

"No, it's fine. Honest. I'll be okay."

"Alright, let one of us know if there's trouble, okay?"

"You got it."

He left and minutes after, a guy walked up to me. He was eyeing me like I was prey. I stepped away from him and he reached out to grab me. I didn't pull away in time, and felt a warm grip on my hand. "Please let me go. I have a boyfriend."

"Who? That guy who left? You could do so much better."

"No, another guy. Seriously; leave me alone."

The guy started trying to touch me, so I kicked him in the crotch and ran. "You bitch! You'll pay for that!"

I ran through the crowd trying to find my friends and my boyfriend, and eventually found them. Colby instantly noticed the panic on my face and asked, "What's wrong, Juliet?"

I saw the guy coming straight towards me and Colby instantly pushed me behind him. The guy was a few inches taller than Colby. My boyfriend glanced to Brennen and Billy and said, "Get her out of here."

Maybe about ten minutes later, Colby appeared with a busted lip and a bloody hand. He saw the worry on my face and said, "You should see the other guy."

Billy looked at me and asked, "What happened?"

I bit my lip and looked down nervously. "After you left, he came up to me and tried to flirt with me. I told him I had a boyfriend, and he started trying to touch me. That's when I kicked him in the crotch and ran to get you guys."

Colby placed his hands on my shoulders. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. My nerves are a little wracked, but I'm okay."

Colby embraced me and said, "Good. I love you, Jules."

"I love you too, Colbs."

We decided to head back to Billy's to sleep. I was exhausted, especially after what had happened.
