Chapter 25

Juliet's POV:

Hide and Seek took us to Costco. Colby was busy, so he wasn't here. Corey, Devyn, Kat, and Aaron were, though.

Sam went to the front of the store and off limits was the front of the store. I ran to hide behind the Nutella and sat down on the ground. I didn't care about the dirt, due to running around with Jackson while we were growing up.

Sam's POV:

I hoped I would find people relatively quickly, but knowing how terrible I am at seeking, that wouldn't happen.

I found Aaron first, and he was shopping. He told me he refused to hide since he got locked in a cupboard the last time he played hide and seek, and had to do groceries anyway.

I then asked him where the others had gone and he pointed to the back right. As I was walking with Aaron, I saw Kat and she ran off, then I saw Corey.

As soon as I got over to him, Devyn screamed and made her appearance. I gave them crap about hiding together, to which they argued against, and Corey especially was mad about being ratted out.

Corey was hesitant about ratting Kat out, then said, "To the right."

We called out for Kat and Corey wanted to head back to the house, but Aaron said he had to purchase the groceries he had.

Kat was cheating for having two places. Corey made a joke that our Kat got loose, and wanted to say something to the front, but we didn't.

Corey then saw her and Devyn immediately started running after her. I ran to another aisle and snuck behind Kat to scare her from behind. Corey explained that she'd ratted them out, and she seemed shocked. She'd been looking for me, so I teasingly asked her, "Do they not play hide and seek in Canada?"

Kat had ratted out Corey who ratted out Devyn. Kat asked, "Where's Juliet?"

Corey frowned. "I have no idea."

We looked around for her and Kat asked, "What's something Juliet likes? She'd be hiding there, right?"

I thought for a moment and said, "Well, she does like peanut butter. We should check there."

We did so, and didn't see her. I then got the idea to check by the Nutella, since she'll sometimes have it, and saw someone in black curled up. "Hi, Juliet."

She looked up at me and sighed. "Cool. You found me. Am I..."

"The last one? Yeah. You are. Before you ask, Kat ratted out Corey who ratted out Devyn, and Aaron was shopping."

She nodded. "I know. He came by with a carriage and saw me when he was getting peanut butter."

After eating, we headed back home and Juliet immediately went to bed. I guess a trip overseas to three different countries wears a person out. Juliet also didn't sleep on planes, so that made it all the much worse for her.
