Chapter 70

Juliet's POV:

"Hello, world of YouTube. Today, we're going to be devious af. So, recently, I bought a pack of Harry Potter Bertie Bott's flavored beans. I had to get a new pack as I didn't want to torture my friends too much. So, the kicker is, one could be good, one could be awful. You never know what you're gonna get. And since Colby is here, he's my first victim."

I walked to the room and Colby looked up. "Why do you have a camera?"

"'Cause I do."

"Mm-hmm. What?"

I held out the box of jellybeans, covering the label. "Pick one."

He eyed me suspiciously and took one. He ate it and shrugged. "Tastes like cherry."

I smiled. "Good. You're safe. Onto others."

I made my way to Sam's room and knocked on the door. He answered and Kat was also there.

She looked at me curiously. "Why the camera? Are you vlogging?"

"Something like that," I replied.

Sam frowned. "You seem suspicious."

"Do me a favor and each try one." I held out the box of jelly beans. "I promise I didn't poison them. Freshly opened today."

Sam and Kat each took one. Sam ate his and grimaced. "It tastes like soap!"

Kat ate hers and spit in the trash can. "That tasted like rotten eggs! Juliet, you're mean!"

I started laughing and composed myself after a moment. "If it makes you feel better, Colby got cherry."

"Of course he did," Sam muttered.

"Who's next?" Kat asked.

"Jake and Tara, then Brennen. He's headed over to the apartment later. Don't tell them and don't hate me, guys. Gotta go!"

I ran to Jake's apartment and knocked on the door. I wasn't sure if they'd be there, but Jake answered. "Yes?"

I smiled, seeing Tara. "Mind if I come in?"

Jake shrugged and stepped to the side so I could enter.

I smiled sweetly and said, "I need you guys to do something for me. Try this."

Once again, I covered the box of jelly beans. They took one and Jake immediately put one in his mouth. "Ew! It tastes like booger!"

Tara smirked. "That's because you are a booger." She eyed hers. "Here goes."

She ate it and smiled. "Green Apple. Boom! Haha, Jakey!"

I chuckled lightly. "You and Colby are the only ones who've gotten good ones."

"What about you?"

"Haven't tried one yet. I'll do it at the end."

"All your victims should watch."

"You're even more devious than I am."

Jake nodded. "I second her idea. You're really fucking mean, you know that?"

"Devious, cunning, mean, been told it all before," I replied. "See you."

By the time I made my way back to Colby's and my apartment, Brennen was there.

I thrust the covered box of jelly beans at him. "Here. Take one."

He did so, eyeing me suspiciously and ate one. "Cotton Candy. Not too bad."

Colby smirked. "Your turn, babe. Jake said you should try one."

"Yeah, and I will. Brennen, take the camera."

Brennen took the camera and Colby filmed me, much to my chagrin.

I closed my eyes, pulled out a jelly bean, and put it in my mouth. I winced at the spiciness and Brennen asked, "Bad one?"

I nodded. "If you consider cinnamon bad, yeah. They always make cinnamon candy too spicy."

Colby rolled his eyes. "It's not that spicy, Jules."

"Maybe not to you, Mr. I-Don't-Like-Spicy-Things."

"Really?"

I took my camera back and filmed my outro. "Well, that's it. I successfully gave jelly beans to some of my friends, some of which hated the beans they got. Make sure to follow everyone. I started editing my video so it was ready to be put up.
