Y/N's face was snuggled into Peter's neck. His arms were wrapped around her body as he left kisses on her head and held her close to him. All he wanted was to enjoy those few extra minutes of peace where he got to have his wife in his arms. Neither of them wanted to get up that morning, they were still exhausted after going to one of Tony's infamous parties the night before.
She groaned softly and let her head fall on one of the cold pillows. Y/N rubbed her tired eyes as a lazy smile formed on her face. She opened her eyes and took a few seconds to stare into his pretty brown eyes, "Good morning Mr Parker," Y/N said groggily and he smiled.
Peter pushed her hair back with his hands and leaned in to kiss her forehead, "Morning Mrs Parker," He whispered.
"We should've gone home early yesterday. Mommy duties have officially messed up my sleeping schedule," Y/N commented while she slid into Peter's lap slowly. The growing baby bump was starting to get in the way and slow her movements down. He chuckled softly and let his head rest on the headboard after sitting up straighter. They hadn't gotten a chance to go out just the two of them in between their Avengers duties and taking care of their three-year-old daughter, not to mention Y/N's pregnancy, "Agreed. I honestly feel like shit."
"We're getting old, Peter," Y/N commented with a giggle and leaned her forehead against his. Peter cupped her face with his hands and leaned in to close the gap between them. However, before he could even press his lips against hers, the couple pulled apart at the sound of footsteps that slowly approached their door.
"I swear that kid has a sixth sense or something," Peter laughed and Y/N nodded, "It's like her Carrie tingle," Peter groaned.
"Not you too Y/N!" He complained and before she could say anything back, their little girl pushed the door open and ran to her father's side of the bed. Her big brown eyes looked up at him and she whined as a silent beg for Peter to help her climb up their bed. He gently cradled her in his arms and put her down in between the two adults.
Y/N smiled lovingly at her daughter, who was biting down on the ear of a plush puppy she had recently gotten obsessed with after Tony gave it to her on her second birthday. Whenever she looked at their baby girl, all Y/N could see was Peter. Carrie had the same warm brown eyes and gentle smile as Peter, "How did you sleep, pretty girl?"
"Good, but I'm hungry," She spoke up after she stopped biting the plushie. Peter laughed and Carrie giggled along with him. He took her into his arms and got up from the bed, "C'mon, let's go eat. I can give you some chocolate milk and pancakes, would you like that, baby?"
She nodded and squealed happily when Peter blew raspberries on her tummy. They made their way to the kitchen, Carrie clinging to Peter as Y/N watched with a smile on her face. Carrie had always been a big daddy's girl and Y/N had always loved the bond their little girl had with her dad.
He placed her down in her high chair and looked back at his wife with adoring eyes. Y/N left a kiss on his cheek before looking for all the ingredients to cook pancakes for their adorable little girl.
"Did you have fun yesterday?" Peter asked as Y/N handed him all the ingredients. Carrie nodded, a bright smile on her face.
"Mr Groot grows plants out of his hands, like this," She extended her hand and showed Peter and Y/N her palm, "Can you do that too daddy?"
Peter shook his head, "No, but I can do this," He shot a web at Y/N and brought her closer to him, making the toddler burst out laughing, clearly entertained. Then he whispered to his wife, "I still don't get why we left her with a tree and a talking raccoon."
Y/N laughed and shrugged, "I think they took great care of her. I mean, when was the last time she woke up and wasn't grumpy? Look at her, she's all happy and giggly," Carrie was known to hate mornings just as much as Peter did. She'd always have a hard time getting out of bed before ten AM.
Peter agreed. Once Y/N started playing their favourite playlist on Spotify, she began helping Peter make breakfast. They'd sway to the music every now and then as they cooked. It was very convenient that both adults had a superpower of sorts; while Peter's idea of getting things from far away by shooting a web usually ended up in him breaking what he was reaching for, Y/N telekinesis surely prevented anything serious from happening.
It didn't take long for them to finish making breakfast. They sat next to Carrie to eat, "Should we start painting the nursery today?" Y/N asked before taking a bite of her pancake.
Peter's eyes lit up at the mention of the nursery. It had only been a few months since they found out they were expecting another baby. Their suspicions had been initially raised during a casual conversation they had been having in the middle of a mission. Once they got back, Peter had rushed to pick up at least five pregnancy tests at the pharmacy down the street.
They had wanted to expand their little family for some time. Both were the only child in their family and they wanted Carrie to have a brother or sister to keep her company, which was why the news of Y/N's pregnancy made them both extremely excited. Even if Carrie didn't fully comprehend what was happening, she seemed excited at the idea of having a sibling.
"I'm afraid we might've to move the books first," Peter sighed as he cut Carrie's pancakes into small bite-sized pieces. Y/N groaned once her husband reminded her of the slight inconvenience. It was no secret that both Peter and Y/N were huge book lovers, that's how they met after all. Back at the Stark Tower, with so many rooms to spare, Tony had allowed them to build their own small library, but once they moved out and bought their small apartment, it had been a pain in the ass to build another big bookshelf to put their books into. They had to take the bookshelf apart and leave the hundreds of books piled up in the hallway to make space for the nursery.
Y/N shrugged, "Or we can just ignore them until further notice," Peter laughed and nodded in agreement. They spent the rest of their meal eating in silence as they listened to Carrie babble on about the night she had.
The three of them moved to the nursery once they had washed all the dishes. The little girl sat quietly as she watched her mom sketch a few designs on the wall with a pencil. It reminded Peter of when they were still teenagers and he'd lie in her bed as he watched her paint the walls with all sorts of curious doodles.
Peter was busy trying to assemble the small table Y/N had been insistent on buying for God-knows-what reason when he heard her call his name. He walked up to his wife and wrapped his arms around her waist.
"Here, I wanted to show you something," She smiled at him and cupped his cheek with the hand that wasn't holding the painting brush.
He hummed and nodded, "What is it, sweets?" Y/N leaned into what Peter thought would be a kiss. Right when his lips were about to touch hers, he felt her swipe the brush across his cheek. His eyes opened in surprise as he laughed at Y/N's mischievous smile. Peter reached up to his cheek to wipe the paint with the back of his hand. When he saw the purple paint, Peter rolled his eyes.
"You didn't just do that," He tilted his head to the side. Y/N took it as her signal to move the bottles away from Peter's grasp with her mind. He scoffed and called the use of her powers unfair, even though he always webbed her hand to the couch or the bedpost whenever they were both fighting for the TV controller.
All of a sudden, Y/N's eyes widened and her mouth fell wide open at she stared at something behind Peter, or well, more like someone. Peter raised his eyebrows and all his wife could do was point her finger at something behind him. He turned around and watched in pure amusement as his daughter crawled up the wall and onto the ceiling.
He couldn't help but clap proudly, "Yes! Oh my God, that's amazing!" Peter chuckled, but his smile disappeared the moment he saw Y/N's glare.
"You are not seriously clapping right now, Parker. Put her down," She demanded pointing at the ceiling, "Shit, this is a safety hazard."
Peter rushed to get his daughter down from the ceiling while Y/N sat completely still in the corner of the room. Peter swore he saw her whole life flash by her eyes as she realized she'd have to chase around an energetic toddler who was now able to climb up the walls. She sighed and took a deep breath, "Okay, this cannot get any worse, it's fine, right? We're fine."
They both realized she had spoken too soon when Carrie, who was still being held by Peter, made one of her toys fly directly to her hand. She was giggling happily without a care in the world as she seemed to ignore her mom's shocked expression and focused on his dad's praise instead, "You're such a smart and talented girl. Here, give me five."
