"You know what they say, opposites do attract."

Y/N walked around the train in her brand new uniform, looking for a place to sit that wasn't already occupied by the other students, she came to a halt when she found an unoccupied place, only occupied by a light brown haired boy who seemed to be in his first year too.

"Hey, can I sit?" She asked with a smile playing on her lips as she looked at the boy look up from a notebook he had in hand with a surprised look on his face.

"Yeah." He told her, she just nodded as a thank you and sat on the place opposite to him, "My name's Y/N."

The boy looked at Y/N with an unimpressed expression as he realized the girl would try to make a conversation with him, "Tom."

She nodded again, clasping her hands together and sinking on the seat, Y/N reached for her sketching book that was inside her small purse.

Before putting all her attention into drawing something, she tried to talk to the brown haired boy for one last time, "So, is this your first year?"

Tom looked up from his notebook once again, responding to her since he thought she wouldn't stop talking to him until he replied, "It is, I'm guessing it's yours too."

And just by talking, they became friends in that train ride, without knowing that it would change their lives forever.

Y/N walked with Tom around the halls, laughing to his jokes and fun stories, "You're crazy Tom Holland."

"Yeah well, you're my partner in crime Y/N L/N." Y/N smiled at Tom, adjusting the pile of notebooks in her arms so they wouldn't fall to the floor because of how fast she was walking, they were going to get late to class again.

She felt someone trip her to the floor, all her books falling from the ground.

"A Hufflepuff doesn't belong with a Slytherin Y/N, when I told you to stay away, I meant it." Draco told her, she just rolled her eyes in response, he was getting into her last nerve.

"Don't fucking touch her or you'll regret it Malfoy." Tom spat back, defending his best friend without hesitation, Tom leaned down and helped her gather all her notes and books from the floor.

"Thank you Tom, you didn't have to do that." She thanked her brown haired friend, Tom just brushed it off as if it was nothing, but to her it meant so much.

Tom couldn't stop shaking before the quidditch match began, he kept pacing back and forth around the Hufflepuff common room.

"Calm down, you won't win with that mentality, plus, it's only a game, just have fun Tommy." Y/N told him trying to ease his nerves because she knew quidditch meant so much to Tom and she wouldn't let him lose just because he started to freak out.

"You always know what to say, don't you Y/N?" She chuckled and shrugged her shoulders before following him out of he common room.

Y/N knew the match was going bad, Gryffindor was winning by a lot of points and Slytherin's only hope was the golden snitch, all the pressure falling in Tom's shoulder as he flew around trying to catch what would lead his team to victory.

He spotted the golden snitch in the corner of his eye, however, before he could grab it, Harry Potter reached it making Gryffindor win the match.
