"I left all of the things you might need in her room so you don't have to keep looking for everything, thank you so much for doing this Y/N, we'll be back soon, I promise." Your best friend smiled gratefully at you as she left her four-year-old daughter on the couch next to you before waving goodbye and dashing out the door with her husband, Harrison.
They hadn't had much time to themselves since they were both always so busy with work, so when you volunteered to look after their little girl, Marigold, so they could have a date night they were ecstatic, that's how you ended up trying to calm down a crying four-year-old.
"Goldie, please bear with me and tell me what you want." You told the blue-eyed girl with a tired expression, immediately shutting her up with your words, she looked up at you wide-eyed, making it clear that your bribe had worked.
"I want candy." She replied shortly after, of course, she'd want candy, you were hesitant to give any to her because she'd get all hyper and would most-likely refuse to go to bed when her bedtime came around, but it was that or hearing her cry until she got tired, you sighed and stood up from the couch, "I don't think you should give her candy love, it's a bad idea."
A deep voice startled you, making you quickly turn around, the curly-haired man you also knew as your best friend was standing next to the door frame watching as you interacted with Marigold; you were surprised you say the least when you saw him standing so close to you, you hadn't seen him in seven months because of several acting jobs he had had.
"Tom!" You practically jumped into his arms, a big smile lightening up your features as you greeted your best friend, you noticed Marigold was hugging him too, "It's so nice o see you, I didn't expect to see you today."
"Well Haz told me he'd be going out with Dani so I figured you'd need help with Goldie, and from what I've seen I was right." You rolled your eyes at Tom, finally letting go of him, unlike the little girl who was still hugging him tightly, Tom was really good with children and to be completely honest, you were really glad your partner in crime decided to show up to help you babysit, something you clearly weren't good at.
Two hours later, you were lying down next to each other on the carpeted living room floor as you watched Hercules with Marigold, you were both very tired from playing around with her, "Auntie Y/N?"
She called you softly, making you turn your attention towards the blue-eyed girl, "Will you and uncle Tommy ever get together like mummy and daddy, dad has told me you like him very much." Marigold asked you innocently, almost making you spitting out the water you were in the process.
Tom looked at you with a teasing smirk after hearing the toddler's words, Marigold Osterfield was just like her father and sometimes you hated it, now you had to explain to your best friend why she had asked such thing.
"You like me, huh?" he asked you, making your cheeks turn a crimson red, that annoying smirk was still plastered on his face, it was more than obvious that he knew exactly what effect he had on you.
"Well-I-I mean, oh God, I can't believe a four-year-old just told you what I've been trying to tell you for years." You groaned in frustration, Mari was silently giggling as she watched you two intently, that little shit.
Tom looked back at Marigold with a smile, before turning his attention back to you, he wrapped one of his strong arms, bringing you closer to him, causing you to look up and into his dark brown eyes, "I'm glad she did because I finally know you like me as much as I like you."
You smiled at Tom, but before you could do anything, you heard the front door open and seconds later your best friend Dani and Haz were walking into the living room with satisfied smiles on their faces.
"I told you it would work, now you owe me ten bucks."

Hi! So as always an idea came to me while I was reading and I just had o write it even tho it's kinda late, so I'm sorry if it's short.
I also finished watching Sherlock and I'm sad because I got so obsessed with it and finished the whole show in less than a week :(
I'm typing this down on my computer and for some annoying reason sometimes the t won't type when I press it so if there's a t missing somewhere that's why.
Also, wanted to let y'all know I'd be extremely happy to write any requests so if you guys have any just let me know.
Happy 4th of July to whoever celebrates it and happy birthday to Haz as well.
