"How could you go off and do something like that without telling me y/n!"

"To be fair we didn't plan for it to happen...we had talked about it before and it just seemed right. I'm sorry dad..."

"Your majesty! How can you only be concerned with that?! She deliberately disobeyed you as well as myself!"

"Disobeyed?! I never agreed to shit! I said id think about it! Which I did and my decision was no!"

"Now both of you! Relax, Commander Darton, I have told you before that I refuse to force either of my daughters into something so serious for an unnecessary reason!"

I watched as the two continued to argue, Hisui entered, grabbing my arm and leading me outside and up the stairs.

—————

It's been a while since I've had a hefty drinking session, having a kid really does stop you from getting blackout drunk.

I laid in the bed, staring up toward the ceiling, my vision extremely blurred.

The right side of the bed was empty. This meant that Natsu had gotten up early to do something since the games don't start until later this afternoon.

I turned to the side and attempted to fall back to sleep since I had a few more hours to kill. I closed my eyes slowly, relaxing while placing one of my own hands on my cheek, caressing it with my thumb.

My breathing slowed as I slowly felt myself slip into unconsciousness, the sudden feeling of someone caressing my back providing an even more comforting feeling.

Although the sudden slamming of the door was alarming enough to wake me up completely, my body shooting up from the bed as I heard the window beside the right side of the bed shut aggressively.

I watched Natsu run toward the window, looking out to see who had shut it, only to find no one.

Afterward, he immediately ran to me, catching me off guard. I flinched at the sudden feeling of his embrace, he then proceeded to bombard me with questions.

"Who was that? Are you okay? Did you see what they looked like? Are you cheating-"

"I don't know who that was, I'm fine, no I didn't see, and of course not! I thought that was you and I just didn't hear you come in."

He sighed after hearing my explanation, holding me tighter and caressing the back of my head gently.

"I'm glad you're okay..."

"I'm fine, don't worry hun, let's just focus on the events today, okay?"

He nodded and released me from his embrace, grabbing a bag he had brought in with him and closing the door before handing me said bag.

Inside the bag were prepared medicinal herbs and a canteen of water, as well as a few apples. I smiled and pecked the dragon slayer on the lips to show my gratitude before opening the bag of herbs and ingesting them, followed by some water.

"How are you feeling? After last night?"

"I'm gonna be honest, I don't even remember what even happened last night"

"You came back last night and started drinking everything. Then you had a breakdown after I had got you to finally go to bed."

I sighed and took out an apple and continued to eat it while he had continued talking to me about it.

"You were talking about how you feel useless to your dad and the kingdom, and how you didn't want to do something for your own selfish reasons, when I asked you what it was you didn't want to do you started crying and hugging me...telling me how much you loved me"
