Part three-chapter fifteen: coming home

The elder woman sat in front of the large testing container, watching as her daughter continued to struggle against the two demonic shadows beside her, continuing to hold her breath desperately.

The two demons released her hands, Nira opening up y/n's mouth while Reida gripped her neck from behind. Y/n's eyes closed, the woman slipping out of consciousness, allowing for the two demonic shadows to enter her body.

A sudden slam was heard throughout the laboratory as Elaine's confidant entered the room, the scarlet haired woman stood beside her h/c comrade, staring at the woman before them who was in a catatonic like state.

"I take it you couldn't convince her?"

"How could I? She's convinced shes in love with that idiot, we know better."

The scarlet haired woman nodded, handing Elaine a book.

"The king is requesting we leave today, we're all heading onto ships now, his highness said he has a last deploying ship for you in a few minutes. Id imagine your creation will join us when she pleases."

Elaine nodded, leaving with Irene and closing the doors to the laboratory.

Reida remained in her shadow form behind y/n, searching for anyone who remained inside. Once she had saw the coast was clear, the raven colored shadow manifested her physical form. The girl quickly moved her thick curls away from her face as she grabbed the arm of the unconscious girl in the tank, kicking open the latch with ease.

Suddenly, the unconscious girl jolted awake, immediately slapping the girl beside her.

"Ow! Nira!"

"I wasn't done you idiot! You know she needs to sit there for at least an hour!"

"She was drowning! You cant control a vessel if the vessel in dead!"

Nira, who was currently in the h/c woman's body, stood up and walked down the stairs, not before suddenly tripping upon them.

Nira shrieked, picking herself up off the floor quickly, looking down at her hands only to see the familiar golden pattern across her hands.

The blonde quickly turned her head to face the now conscious h/c woman, only for chains to be wrapped around both her and Reida's wrists.

The two were pulled toward y/n, the woman quickly tying them against a pole before turning around, grabbing whatever she could find lying around. Eventually, the h/c girl had found what she had been originally searching for, turning her attention to the two demonic beings. She watched in amusement as the two attempted to break her chains, ultimately failing in the end.

"What the hell?! Its almost like they're-"

"Indestructible? Yeah im well aware, you know, I was conscious during all three days I was in the tube. I know what you two are, and I know your purpose."

"You're lying."

"Are you sure about that?, heres what I know for sure: mother kidnapped me, brought me here and separated my powers into two beings just in case I didn't follow through with her plan and, for the past two and a half days you've existed Nira has practiced controlling me while Reida safe guards it. Is that right?"

"How did you-"

"Oh please, it wasn't that hard. Im an excellent actress, i have many talents."

Y/n approached the two, using a paint like substance to write on both of the beings foreheads. The woman grabbed their shoulders, chanting something in an unintelligible language.

The two beings screamed as they returned to their original forms, finding themselves back where they originated.

"Im coming home, just keep holding on you guys."

I opened the door into my mother's room, walking toward the vanity and grabbing two empty chokers and grabbing the book from the bed, ripping out both the black and yellow gems from the covers.

I opened the book, scanning through all the pages. Although I managed to learn as much as I could from continuing to play a face, I still have no clue what my special powers are at all.

"Cmon...give me something..." i muttered, flipping through the pages until I saw a drawing of myself. I studied the drawing, in the image I was depicted in all gray, a soft smile on my face but no gem seen on my person.

Beside the image was a small type of character chart, holding information like my birthday, height, facial features, family, etc...

I glanced over until I saw a rather long paragraph below it,

Y/n L/n Dragneel, originally only was accustomed to chain enchantment magic, is only able to use 'absolute control' when both gems are united.

-absolute control: ability to make anyone she touches into a mind slave and has the ability to use their powers as long as they're being controlled

-her original chain enchantments can now inflict curses and hexes, on top of that the regular chains she uses to fight are practically indestructible.

"Okay, how the hell do I unite them?" I muttered, attempting to smash the two gems together. I groaned, flopping face down onto the bed in frustration.

I sat down, opening the book again and flipping through the pages, looking for any type of instructions. It wasn't until I saw a familiar name that I stood up from the bed, continuing to read the book.

I stepped back, shrieking as I came into contact with something. I then jumped at the sudden sound of something shattering on the floor, I looked down and immediately fell to the floor, attempting to piece together both gems to their original state.

I soon began to sweat, maybe out of anxiety or the intense heat emitting from the bright sun over the Alvarez empire. I groaned in frustration, banging my fists on the bedroom floor before picking up each and every little piece of the broken gems.

It was until I had noticed a rather small piece of the floor, the way the yellow and black blended together, along with the way there was yellow liquid surrounding it. I smiled, quickly gathering up all the pieces and placing them into the metal mold inside one of the chokers, grabbing a lantern from off the wall and taking out the flame, placing the mold on top.

"Now were gettin somewhere! Now all I need is to get on a boat...and get out of these gross clothes..."
