"-and now bringing in a special surprise guest commentator we have her majesty, princess y/n of fiore! Its an honor to have you here your highness!"
"Thank you so much Chapati (A/N yes i did in fact have to google the name of the main announcer), and might I say it is wonderful to see you and Mr.Yajima again! Now what do we have for the line up today?"
"Well first battle of the day is someone both you and Mr.Yajima may be familiar with your highness, give it up for Lucy Heartfelia from Fairy tail's team A!" I cheered as Lucy walked out onto the arena, her chest was puffed out, chin held high. You could see the determination in her eyes from the panel, she truly was something else, even if sometimes she didn't believe it herself.
—————
"WAIT WHAT? WHY AM I ON THE TEAM?!"
"You're the most capable Lucy, simple as that"
"What about y/n? Can't she take my place?"
"Don't look at me, Im on the commentators panel, this is all you Lucy"
—————
I got up from my seat slightly, watching as the raven tail mage held a piece of her hair just above the blondes guild mark. Mr. Yajima held his arm out in front of me, inaudibly telling me to relax.
I sat back down slowly in my chair, and watched as Lucy shouted followed pulling out a key and opening a gate. While she was doing so my vision became spotty and my breath became short, from what I could see a harsh light appeared, it was hard to tell whether it was the trick of the light or something huge was happening.
I shook my head, rubbing my eyes and suddenly, the light was gone. Lucy was passed out on the floor of the arena, and without thinking I jumped over the railing of the commentators panel, making my way to my blonde friend.
I looked down at her as she slowly rubbed her eyes open, tears already beginning to spill from her eyes. I helped the girl up from the ground and grabbed her hands gently.
"you did amazing Lucy"
"B-but I lost! We're in last place!"
"So? If you ask me thats an amazing place to start, now cmon that girl keeps starin at us all weird, lets get going"
The blonde nodded and followed me to the exit of the arena, apologizing profusely to all of our guild mates as we entered our seating area.
"Aunty Lu! You were so cool out there! Even when that lady was bein mean you kept goin!" The small pink haired boy said, Lucy smiled at him and thanked him, ruffling his hair. After a few seconds the girl dismissed herself and walked toward the bed rest area, passing a slightly ticked off Natsu on the way.
"Those damn raven tail bastards playin dirty."
"Hey relax, okay? We can afford to act out remember?"
"Tch I know, its just...that last part of the fight seemed weird, like her spell just stopped workin for no reason..."
"Thats what Wendy and Carla said happened last night...I'll look into it."
The dragon slayer nodded, turning his attention behind me to our son who was stood there listening with Happy rested atop his head. Happy remained there as the boy moved toward his father and I, wanting to walk around the arena with us. The four of us walked for a bit, eventually deciding to go walking for snacks. I looked out toward the inside of the arena and saw one of the final matches had started, we continued walking since the four of us weren't too interested in the match, instead looking for some sort of snack vendor or something.
After a few more minutes of searching we had finally found a snack vendor, I handed the three boys a bag of jewels and told them to "go crazy". I waved all of them off as they ran toward the snack vendor at full speed, while I stayed behind. Something in the back of my head was telling me to stay behind, to walk around slowly.
I glanced around the hall, looking for something. I had a small idea of what I was actually looking for, I just didn't know whether or not it was true.
I walked up and down the hall, looking around for anything unusual. A loose floor tile, an oddly placed torch, SOMETHING to give me a lead.
"Well, look who we have here."
I turned and faced a familiar friend, a certain friend who I haven't seen in almost half a year.
"Ah Arcadios, what a pleasant surprise! I didn't think id run into you at the games? Is my sister here?"
"Princess Hisui is currently handling matters at the palace, you your highness, should be on the commentators panel."
"Oh its fine, I checked with Chapati, they got Jenny to fill in for me-"
"Your highness you shouldn't skip out on your duties like that."
"My friend needed my support. Who am I to deny her that?"
The knight stayed quiet for a minute, ultimately sighing before looking into my eyes.
"May I speak with you privately your majesty?"
"We are in private Arcadios, whatever you need to say, you can say it now."
Arcadios nodded, walking toward a balcony and motioning me towards him. I complied and walked toward said balcony, sitting on the railing.
Just then, I felt a sharp pain in my head. My vision became blurred and clouded, I felt as though I was paralyzed, however, from what I was able to see I was moving.
I moved to the edge of the balcony, I could hear Arcadios questioning me as I did so. From what I could see, I now had a bright blue piece in my hand, I was clutching it tightly. Immediately after my eyesight became clear, I felt incredibly light headed and felt my legs give out a second later. I looked over to my hand and noticed it clutching a lacrima, small amounts of blood falling from my hand. My vision became blurred again as I put the lacrima piece into my pocket, or, attempting to put it into my pocket.
"What happened!? Hey n/n! Cmon babe you've gotta get up! What the fuck happened?!"
"Is mama gonna be okay?"
The voices began to fade and my vision began to darken, I felt my body slowly relax itself.
