I set Haruna down in her crib gently, watching as the little girl slept calmly.

I had just returned from the pile of rubble we had once called our guild, it had been a week since I had seen Natsu, I had just assumed he had gone on a job and refused to take the train, choosing instead to walk on foot.

I locked the bedroom door, laying down on the bed, allowing for my head to continue to spiral.

"Y/n...dear, my apologies but...before he left he told me to give you a message"

"Whats going on Master?"

"He said he won't be back for a long time, he wanted me to tell you not to go looking for him."

It felt like a stab through the heart, my lip quivered. I didn't like crying, all the theatrics of it, it was too much for me.

However, I could still feel the tingling in my eyes and the sudden closing of my throat. I've cried before, but this time was different. It was as if all of my bottled up feelings had resurfaced. I felt nothing but despair.

Sadness, Anger, Fear, Anxiety, it all happened at once.

I held my head in my hands, sobbing intensely, and for the first time in a long time, the voices returned.

'He left you alone'

'You have to do this by yourself'

'You weren't enough for him.'

'He knew he could do better'

I tugged at my hair harshly, plucking a few off of my head. I placed my hands to my sides, gripping the bedsheets, continuing to cry. My breaths became staggered and short, my heart began to race and my body became cold. The baby began to cry, and my legs began to shake.

I walked over to the crib slowly, lifting the little girl and holding her gently. I attempted to hold back the tears as I slowly rocked the baby in an attempt to get her back to sleep.

"Im sorry you and your brother got stuck with such a train wreck of a mother."

The baby smiled at me, even if she did look more like me she still had her father's smile. I continued to cradle the baby as I wiped a tear from my eye
