Part three-chapter one: returned

Y/n had been swamped the last few days with last minute wedding preparations, as her best friend AND roommate I could tell she wasn't happy with anything that was going on.

Poor girl, I had tried to convince her so many times...but no matter how hard I try she wont listen.

She left the kids with me to watch the games today, its been about a year since the guild disbanded and roughly fifteen months since Natsu left. The only reason I still remember is because of Y/n.

Currently, I was up on a viewing balcony, along with Haruna and Igneel. The now nine year old boy holding up his baby sister on his shoulders, in order to give her a better view.

I looked down at my notepad, writing a description of every little detail of the events.

"Hey aunt Lu?"

"Whats up buddy?"

"Is it getting warmer or is it just me?" The boy questioned, I looked over toward him confused for a second before I noticed myself beginning to sweat a bit. I looked down toward the arena and noticed steam being created, a large heat wave blasting through the entirety of the arena.

I looked down and noticed my clothes beginning to melt off, I looked over and noticed both the kids were absolutely fine...for the most part.

'This sucks. Why does it always have to be me?' I thought to myself, turning my attention to the kids.

"Dad?"

My eyes widened in shock as I heard Igneel say that, I looked down into the arena, sure enough there they stood.

"Hey guys! Long time no see!"

"Aye sir!"

I smiled softly, picking up the baby girl off her brothers shoulders. The young boy erupting chains from his hands and using them as a way to get down.

Over the past year, Y/n wanted Igneel to learn some form of magic, it was sweet how he could have picked any kind to do and he still chose his mother's type of magic. They would train nonstop for days if Y/n had time, there were even moments where I would have to make them call it quits since they were overworking themselves.

I looked down at the sight before me, the pink haired males embracing each other tightly while the younger one cried.

I would let Natsu have his moment with the kids before i brought him back to reality, he's an adult, he needs to be held accountable.

I led the pink haired male and blue feline back to the apartment, opening the door while the older male held his young daughter.

"Papa?"

"Yes baby, its papa, i missed you so much" he cooed, leaving small kiss across the girl's face.

"Iggy, how about you show Happy your room? Take your sister with you, I needa talk with your dad."

"Okay, cmon Happy!"

I watched as his father set his sister on the ground gently, the little girl grabbing onto her brother's hand, waddling toward the room.

I grabbed Natsu's arm and dragged him into the kitchen, taking a deep breath before turning toward the man.

"What the hell were you thinking?! Its been over a year since your kids have seen you, and Y/n is gonna have a nervous breakdown! She's already so stressed with everything going on-"

"Luce, slow down, whats goin on?"

"After you left...Fairy tail disbanded and y/n and I moved here. She reinstated her position as princess and has been working at the castle, a few months ago, some Lord came and asked for her hand, about a week before that her dad and sister got really sick...her sister is doing well now, but I cant say the same for the king..."

Natsu looked at me intensely, leaning up against one of the kitchen counters, waiting for me to continue.

"So, as a result, she agreed to marry the lord...the wedding is tomorrow...shes at the castle doing some last minute changes."

"Theres no way...someone has to be making her do this-"

"No one is making her do anything... Natsu,
y/n has been abandoned so many times in her life, when you left it pushed her over the edge...she didn't think you were coming back...she didn't think you loved her anymore."

"Im an idiot! I only left so I could get strong enough to protect her and our family! I love her more than anything-"

"I know! And so does she! She just doesn't want to admit it. As much as I am pissed off at you right now, for her sake...go see her...I just wanna see her happy, and I know she was the happiest when she was with you."

The dragon slayer nodded, taking off his cloak before leaving the kitchen. I facepalmed and grabbed the back of his scarf, dragging him into the bathroom.

"You can't just waltz into the castle looking like a caveman! Open gate of the crab! Cancer!"

"Now can I go?"

"Yep, I'll get you in. Follow my lead"

The two of us walked out of the apartment, I left Igneel in charge of his sister and Happy meaning we had at least two hours to get this plan moving.

We finally appeared in front of the palace gates, I waved toward one of the guards, causing them to almost immediately open the gate.

The two of us walked in, Arcadios immediately catching us.

"What're you two doing here? Miss Heartfelia what is he doing here?!"

"Hes gonna help get y/n out of this, trust me Arcadios, please?"

"Fine. I suppose I do owe you a grand debt from the eclipse."

"Thank you! Wheres y/n?"

"In her mother's room, dress fitting. Ill escort you two."
