Part one-chapter eight: catch her

"OH MY GOD SOMEONE PLEASE, NATSU THIS ISN'T FUNNY GET UP"

I kept shaking him desperately hoping he'd wake up.

"Y/N , NATSU, HAPPY!? WHERE ARE YOU GUYS??"

The moment I went to signal for them I felt Natsu suddenly shift from laying down still on the rubble to now standing and screaming "AHHH IVE GOTTA BONE TO PICK WITH YOU BLOCKHEAD WHERE THE FUCK DID YOU TAKE MY LITTLE BUDDY"

Its been a few hours since we all left the casino, we were currently split up, trying to look for Sho and Erza. Id been running around in circles for thirty minutes running up and down the same hallway.

"Y/n!"

I turned and saw a small blue blur fly into my chest, crying about how much he had missed me.  Then followed the dragon slayer who embraced me tightly, "cmon lets go get Erza." I nodded and tried to follow him through a hallway while he and happy went out the window. I then found myself in a large room filled with cages, Simon, an old friend of Erzas soon followed me. Suddenly the sound of something- no, someone, hitting one of the cages. Out of instinct I used my chains to raise me into the rafters of the large room, watching from above.

Over the years of being in the guild my hearing has really turned to shit so I couldn't hear much besides the commotion, that is until the bird had swallowed him whole. I slowly lowered myself down toward one of the cages in the back, "HOO HOO- after about 10 minutes your friend will be fully digestive via my stomach acids". No way...I need to get in there, i need to help them-

But I couldn't.

My body wouldn't allow for me to move.

It was like something was pulling me down.

Until i saw Gray, down on the floor, close to unconscious.

Thats when it took over.

I wrapped my chains around the birds ankle, swinging myself around his lower body, using all my strength to swing him into one of the cages. "FIRE DRAGON ROAR" he managed to leave me with a few burns, i shook it off, now was not the time to whine. I used my chains to wrap around his wrists, if what he said is true about Natsu's power, then he has no idea how to use it efficiently. I remember when Natsu and i used to train together all I would have to do is restrain his wrists and he wouldn't be able to do much. "What the- how dare you run from justice?!" "Sorry birdie but when you ate my friend and cooked the other ones, you crossed a line". I kicked the bird in the chin, causing him to step back slightly, which cause me to celebrate a bit to early. "Y/n look out!" I turned and was met with a face full of fire, then repeated blows to my bruises and scars. I looked off the side and tried to run away just to get Gray out of his field of vision. Once i did so I was finally able to restrain him for a quick second, allowing for the ice wizard to deliver the final blow. Allowing for me to rest for a second,

Theres no way I can let Natsu know his power technically beat me.

When I woke up Natsu was carrying me on his back, following Simon and arguing with Gray.

"CMON MAN ITS TOO DANGEROUS FOR HER SHE JUST GOT KNOCKED OUT SHE SHOULD GO BACK TO THE BOATS WITH US"

"Don't you think i know that? But you know damn well she would never forgive us if we didn't even give her a chance to make her own decisions..."

"Would you two quit it. Im fine." I hoped off Natsu's back and took the lead up the stairs.

"The last thing I'd ever do is leave her alone."

I started sprinting even though my body was weaker, i knew I could pull through.

After a few seconds we made it up the stairs, and i saw Erza being consumed by what appeared to be some sort of lacrima.

"NATSU CATCH HER ONCE I DRAG HER OUT"

The boy nodded and ran infront of me as I quickly created a chain and wrapped it around the red headed girl, pulling her into the embrace of the dragon slayer...funny...i feel funny...maybe pyro was right i should stop overworking myself hah.

"Im sorry...Erza...Natsu"
