Part two-chapter two: hey there pretty lady

"You're gonna have me do what?"

"Gajeel please? I really dont want to take him with us, he could get hurt!"

"Hes a fuckin kid, all kids get hurt sometimes"

"Gajeel."

"Fuck it fine. I'll watch the brat, be careful on that job will ya?"

"Of course, thank you big brother! I already told Levy, she said to meet her by fairy hills."

She bent down toward her son and gently kissed him on the cheek, whispering something to him before hugging me quickly. Salamander came over from the group and ruffled his sons hair, then looking at me "listen metal head, anythin happens to my kid and ill beat ya to a pulp" i scoffed and rolled my eyes, watching my sister leave the guild with that idiot Salamander and the rest of their team, waving goodbye to their son finally leaving to go on their job.

"Uncle Gajeel?"

"Whats wrong squirt?" The small boy looked up at me, making grabby hands. "Squirt i cant lift ya, you're a big kid ya gotta walk by yourself." Igneel pouted at my response, looking at Lily and scratching behind his ears gently. "I believe its best if we go and get Levy, I'd imagine that she is significantly better at this than you are." I glared at the exceed, ultimately deciding to listen to him. Lily transformed into his battle form, picking up Igneel and having him sit on his shoulder.

Once we had finally gotten to fairy hills the petite blue haired girl was already there waiting, "Levy!" "Hi sweetheart, how are you today?" The small boy went off telling the blue haired mage how excited he was to spend the day with us. I smiled slightly, looking as they both conversed about various things as we walked around.

As much as I hate to admit it but I was enjoying myself.

"Do you think we should just stay here then?"

"I mean yeah, that job really tired me out, and im pretty sure going on a train right now isn't good for any of them..."

All of us walked off towards a small inn on the outskirts of the capitol, once we had gotten to our room Natsu and Gray flopped onto the bed, both too tired to argue over who was going to sleep in it. Erza and Wendy laying on their respective beds, joined by the two exceeds, happy laying on Erza's while Carla stayed with Wendy.

Both Lucy and I looked out the window, towered one of the clock towers, it was barely 7 pm. "You tired?" "Not at all, you?" "Nope, how about we go out, just a walk around the center of Crocus?" The blonde nodded, we both grabbed clothes from our bags, walking into the bathroom and changing. I slipped on some light blue high waisted pants and a red long sleeve, putting on my regular thigh high boots.

We walked out the inn, walking around toward the capitol center, taking in the darker sky. Despite it being late the center was still lively, music playing, people in their booths cheering at the dancing couples in front of them. Lucy and I giggled before I grabbed her hand pulling her into the circle, we spent a bit of time dancing, spinning each other around and laughing, enjoying the atmosphere of the center.

The music stopped, making us both stop our movements, laughing with each other as we wandered off into the streets.

"Gee this is so fun!"

"Yup, Crocus is the best place to be if you're looking to have some fun, granted i never really got to go out much when I lived here but looking out that balcony seeing girls our age doing this, having fun, I wanted to do that"

Eventually we made out way onto a hill not to far from the palace, the street light illuminating the capitol beautifully, we continued looking out into the city, making small talk.

"You know whats crazy?"

"What?"

"You've been through so much these past seven years, and you still look 19!"

"Its weird...Bisca and Alzack changed a lot, I'm not sure if its because Asuka was a handful or their stressed all the time but every other weekend I'd help Bisca dye some of her grey hairs, and me, never had a single one, didnt get any acne or pimples either, postpartum sucked in feeling but once I gave birth i fell asleep and when I woke up my body looked exactly the same as it did before I was pregnant."

"Did you ever ask Porlyusica about it?"

"I wanted to but i felt like it was a stupid question..."

"Maybe you should ask levy about it when we get back? If anything she'll know something, or she'll help you figure it out" I nodded and continued to look out into the city, some people stumbling their way home and lights began to turn off in peoples homes.

After maybe half an hour we decided to retreat back to the inn, gossiping as we made our way there.

"You know if Cana is dating anyone?"

"Um not that I know of Lu, you guys just came back a few days ago, even with that I dont think shed get into a relationship so quickly, why do you ask?"

"Ah! No reason! I swear!" I laughed and nodded, not wanted to question the girl too much. We continued walking until we reached the cities center once again, this time it was empty. The booths that were once filled with trinkets and fruit were packed up, signaling the end of the day.

"Hey there your majesty~ oops I mean pretty lady" I heard a familiar voice coo, I sighed and rolled my eyes before grabbing Lucy's hand, trying to drag her away.

"Ah ah ah, it's impolite to run away dontcha think your highness?" I turned and plastered on a smile, turning to the boy behind us and facing him.

"Sting, its nice to see you again, this is Lucy, a friend of mine and a fellow guild mate" Lucy muttered a small hi, sensing the tension between the two of us.

"Nice to meet you Lucy, names Sting Eucliffe, and it is always a pleasure to see you your highness-"

"No need for that sting, im just a mage now."

"Ah my apologies, so y/n how've you been? Does that brat of yours still need a step dad, you know I'd be more than happy to be that"

"First off even if I was looking calling my son a brat would immediately get you kicked off the list, second, no he doesnt, as you might have heard the tenrou island team returned."

"Doesnt mean he still cant have one"

"Listen Sting, it was...nice chatting but we have to get going, our team is waiting for us."

"Ah, wait a second y/n its too late for you two to be walking alone at night"

"Oh we can handle ourselves sting, thank you though, cmon Lucy lets go" I hurried, the girl complied and ran with me all the way back to the inn. Both of us collapsing onto a bed and giggling, bringing the night to a close.
