A shopping center scattered, with the stomping and screaming completely faded. The cars had already pulled away and hit the road, leaving only silence.
While everything had come to a calm, a stray mooger turned a corner, noticing a young girl ducking between vents and boxes.
Her heart sunk.
Intently, the mooger approached, sword leading it's way toward her.
Terrified, the young girl clenched her eyes shut and screamed at the top of her lungs for the mooger to stay away, screaming for help.
When she opened her eyes, a mass of gray particles scattered in the air and dissolved like nothing. As the ashes faded, the red ranger was revealed.
"You're safe." The red ranger sheathed his spinsword, pleased that he found the last mooger.
Drying her tears, the young girl stood up, stumbled, and latched onto the red ranger's leg.
"Was it scary?" Jayden patted her head, noticing she was trembling. "Thank you for calling for help. It helped me find you."
Feeling less afraid, the girl let go of him, observing the red helmet looking down at her.
A comforting presence.
"I'll handle it from here." A helper from the Shiba House nodded at the red ranger. "Let's go find your parents."
As Jayden watched them go, he demorphed.
"A job well done." Ji announced his presence.
"Thanks Ji." Jayden smiled.
Ji felt moved, unable to hold back a smile.
Summers had grown longer. So much had changed within 7 months and Ji witnessed the swings leading up to this moment.
"I believe it's time to call the other rangers. Don't you think?" Ji inquired, deeming the team should reunite.
"..." Jayden looked down at his samuraizer; 火
"I'll let them arrive on their own terms." Jayden replied.
"But you've been reluctant to call upon them in times of need before. Will perceive this as a slight to them?"
"I'm sure the news reached them." Jayden was certain. "I'm not going to pressure them."
"Very well." Ji nodded, trusting Jayden's judgement.
Ji was confident in the leader the red ranger had become. He was at his strongest.
"So the battle continues." Ji glanced at Jayden who seemed reassured.
"We're ready."
Everyone who got me to this point, your efforts will not be a waste.
