The rangers had a long day fighting nighlok. They all fought in separate teams and claimed victories, while only taking minor injuries.

Mike and Mia were making their way back from their battle. They were both silent, but breathing heavy from their fight.

"So," Mike broke the silence as they walked. "You told Emily about the kiss before I could."

Mike sounded serious.

"Emily deserved to know the truth." Mia replied.

"Of course she does and I was going to tell her. But you went behind my back and told her for me?" Mike stopped walking.

"I was looking out for Emily." Mia thought Mike was being overdramatic, but she stopped walking as well. "I didn't want her to be taken advantage of."

"So you didn't trust me to tell her about it?" Mike got defensive. "Our team is about trust and supporting each other, but that doesn't matter because you think I'm an idiot."

The only reason Mike was upset was because Mia went behind his back. He felt that it showed that Mia didn't trust or respect him.

On the other hand, Mia couldn't believe Mike would assume that she thinks so low of him.

"I don't know why you're so upset about it! I was looking after Emily. I'm not going to let just any guy kiss her." Mia argued.

"Why couldn't you just have contained yourself? You shouldn't have kissed her! Now that Mentor is gone, everyone is breaking the rules! Nobody gives a shit about our team!" Mia ended up pouring her frustrations on Mike.

But if anyone, Mia cared about Mentor's rules and the team bond the most.

Jayden and Mike broke the rules by kissing.

Mike and Emily broke the rules by skipping a few training sessions.

And even Kevin followed his own rules and discipline before others. Sometimes he didn't cooperate with the other rangers at all and went off to fight nighlok by himself.

All of them seemed happy that Mentor was gone.

"Of course I give a shit about the team! And apparently you don't! As I said, you can't even trust me!" Mike yelled at her and stormed towards home.

Mia watched Mike walk away, with a little fury in each of his steps.

Mia slapped her forehead.

There was something about an argument with Mike that made it unlike an argument with anyone else.

In a way, it was like arguing with a 9 year old, in which reasoning is ruled out. Mike always clung passionately to his juvenile arguments.

All of a sudden, Mia found that her eyes were beginning to tear up. She couldn't believe that she was that frustrated.

I can't tear up over a stupid argument. I haven't shed any tears since I took on the duty of the pink ranger.

Mia came home when the sky was dark.

Everyone had already been at home, waiting for her to come back.

Jayden was even planning to search for her, though he wouldn't get far in his state.

When Mia walked through the front door, Emily ran up to her.

"Mia? We were worried!" Emily gave her a mini hug. "Your body is cold!"

"I'm sorry I'm late." Mia patted Emily's back. "I didn't mean to make everyone worry."

When Mia's eyes met Jayden's, she could tell how relieved he was to see her.

"Don't worry about it." Emily smiled. "Just go take a long, warm bath and I'll help you treat your bruises."

"Actually before you do that, I have something to say." Kevin announced, gesturing for everyone to gather in the living room.

"I understand that some of us have been breaking a few minor rules." Kevin started, "But what's completely unexceptable is when it means lying to all of us."

Kevin took a deep breath before he said, "Emily and Mike are sleeping with each other."
