Chapter 4°•☆°The Root Of Magic°☆

"So got the shopping list munchkins", Skyler asked and AJ snapped out from this trance that was made by all the new areas and it almost gave him a headache from everything. This was a lot to digest and Meadow had realised that AJ wasn't present on this earth at the moment so she snapped her fingers in front of him.

"Huh?", AJ mumbled as he blinked a few times and then he started smiling like nothing was wrong at all. Meadow has always admired this about her brother, he would always pretend like everything was fine when things weren't. He just really didn't want to go bother anyone with his problems, and he would also put everyone's needs first. Meadow thought about it for a moment and realised that AJ was an idiot for forgetting about what he needs to be happy in life. She took a deep breath trying not to punch AJ in the shoulder.

"Yeah we have the list", AJ said after a little while and the urge to punch him had vanished in thin air. Sometimes AJ just seems to annoy Meadow although he hadn't done anything. Maybe it's because AJ isn't taking that good care of himself and she just feels like she has to be there for him.
Meadow fumbled with her pockets before she gave the shopping list to her mom who was patiently waiting and also enjoying the weather.

"Hmm, see robes first then wands and then books and the rest of the things? Does that sounds like a plan since we don't need to carry heavy books along with us all the time?", Their mom asked after she had read down the somewhat long list. Some things she didn't even know what was and that is because she knows very little about the magical world.

"Spot on of a plan", hummed AJ obviously being back to his human self. He was gone for a while there, probably got lost in his brain was all Meadow could imagine.

"If AJ thinks it's a great plan then it's a brilliant plan", teased Meadow before she gave her brother a tight hug. AJ being surprised by this just stood there in the middle of a street, in a crowded area where his sister was slowly squeezing the life out of him. At certain times Meadow would get really clingy and AJ really didn't mind this at all. He rather appreciated that somebody loved him with all their heart.
"Sorry", Meadow mouthed after a rather long hug and she just stared around the surroundings trying to distract herself and also find out where to find robes. It didn't take her long to find out where their next stop would be. She pointed at one of the shops and her brother and her mom looked in the direction she pointed at.

"Madam Malkin's Robes For All Occasions, they shall have robes there", announced Meadow that was already on her way towards the store but then she turned around almost like she was forgetting something. She walked to AJ then grabbed his hand and then dragged him along to the robe store. Skyler just shrugged and then followed after. She was quite glad actually that her twins had each other's back at all times.
As they entered the store a woman suddenly appeared from nowhere and Meadow almost fell backwards but she stumbled into her mom instead.

"Good afternoon", the woman said softly and then she stared at the three in wonder but she stared mostly at the twins. The woman pointed at AJ and then at Meadow and she continued doing this before Skyler cleared her throat.
"Merlin, you two sure look the same", the woman muttered and Meadow just wanted to vanish into the earth's surface. She hated it when people would say these sort of things. It just made her uncomfortable due to the origin of the very long story about her and her brother.

"Yeah we know", AJ agreed while he was comforting Meadow by holding her hand softly. He knew how much she would get uncomfortable in these kinds of situations and he did deeply understand why.

"Good afternoon to you as well, anyways we wondered if we could buy some robes here for school. You know it's quite magical that my two little munchkins are going to start at Hogwarts, I can hardly believe it", Skyler told almost crying at the spot but she quickly reminded herself that everything was going to be alright.
