Tycho had just snatched some cranberry pastries from the great hall and he had a lurking question that has been hovering in his head for a while. Since he wanted to get rid of it he sighed because he knew he would end up regretting what he was going to do next.
He found his way to the Slytherin table and dropped himself next to Esme and some bloke with light blonde hair which gave him a killer stare when he sat down. Esme on the other didn't say anything but she just frowned.

"Why are people that aren't Slytherins sitting at this table? It's disrespectful and my father wouldn't be glad to hear about this. Don't you agree Esmeralda?", the blonde-headed boy told in a mocking tone and Tycho shrugged since he figured out who this person was. It was Draco Malfoy a boy in his year who Meadow had stumbled across and someone Rio was annoyed at for some reason. Esme snickered before she gazed at Draco.

"Well it could indeed be disrespectful for some but your father isn't going to hear anything about this", she told graciously and Draco raised a worried eyebrow at them.

"Excuse me but why is that?", he asked complaining like a little kid not getting any candy for the weekend.

"Because that Ravenclaw is my little brother so, Draco good luck with complaining about that to your dad because I can tell you right now that your dad would be more upset with you getting into detention and losing house points because you aren't respectful to someone in a different house", Esme replied casually and Tycho couldn't hold back the laughter. Did she seriously just say that straight to someone's face. Draco's face turned red in embarrassment but it, later on, turned into anger and it seemed like he was ready to attack Esme but sense got to him so he stormed off the Great Hall instead and his two friends were following after him.

"Should you be messing around with punishing people?", Tycho asked curiously and his older sister shrugged.

"Probably not", she muttered giggling almost as a hyena you could say. "But anyway why are you here since you don't talk to me unless you need something or if you have something to ask", Esme continued gaining more seriousness and frustration in her tone.

"That's not true", he lied nervously hoping that Esme wouldn't get her feelings hurt because it was way too true. He only talked with his sister when he needed something, otherwise, he didn't bother because his parents probably didn't like him talking to her.
Tycho sighed glaring at the disappointed look on his sister's face who only wanted to enjoy her food in peace without getting reminded of how her family disowned her for being sorted into Slytherin.

"I just wondered where you were going to spend your Christmas. Mom would be glad to have you over and Dad would be thankful for your amazing stewing", Tycho said trying to lighten the mood but it only made it worse because Esme pushed her plate away. She had lost her appetite.

"We both know your parents wouldn't like me staying under their roof", she declared in anger in her tone but he tried to hide it for her brother.

"Our parents Esme!", he argued but his sister shook her head and it wasn't surprising that she did.

"Doesn't feel like they are my parents anyway I'm not even living there because oh hold on this one, brother", she replied and she fumbled after something in her pocket and she took it out. It was a dark green envelope which she gave to Tycho who had no expectations on what the context was because how could he. He opened the envelope frowning and which each word he read a lump grew bigger in his throat.
"Congratulations little brother, you have gotten your wish about taking over my room. At least one of us got a nice Christmas present while I on the other hand got that on my birthday. I got kicked out of the house. Turns out good old mom and dad think that I'm now old enough to take care of myself and apparently they have already packed my things and they have thrown them into the garage.", Esme explained mad and Tycho didn't understand what had gone so horribly wrong. How could his parents do such a thing to his sister? Just because she was a Slytherin.
