Chapter 28 A night troll

They hurried after where they thought Nyx had gone but their best friend was nowhere to be found, even if Tycho and AJ ran right behind him. It was like Nyx had vanished in thin air like a leaf getting carried away on a wind full day or a ghost randomly showing up. AJ tried getting Nyx's sent but he failed miserably when it didn't hover in the air. It was almost as every trace of Nyx had been erased and thrown into space where nobody could find them.

"I don't get it, he was just here!", Tycho murmured breathlessly and he needed to take a few very deep breaths before he managed to stride off down a hallway. AJ sighed and decided to follow after but he wasn't tired from running, he was either worried sick for Nyx.

"What you guys doing?", someone asked so sudden when they walked by that Tycho nearly fell off his feet. He and AJ turned around and they spotted two fiery red har boys with freckles scattered over their faces. Identical twins indeed and they looked the same age as Rio.

"Just looking after our friend who has mastered teleportation or he has gone invisible. Either way, we were just behind him but he's nowhere to be seen. Did you two see a quite light blonde boy with a skin tone just as snow, running this direction? He has very little pigmentation in his skin so it would be easy to spot him in a crowd.", AJ told getting rather anxious for each second that went by. The two ginger boys shook their heads and Tycho kicked the ground.

"We haven't seen him", One of them said.

"But we do know that the school have all sorts of shortcuts and secret passages so if your friend knew about them he could be down at Hogsmeade for that reason.", the other one continued and Tycho shrugged at the new piece of information which wasn't new to AJ. He had read about the shortcuts which his dad and his friends used to sneak around with, mostly to sneak in food.

"Well that doesn't help a lot but thanks anyways", Tycho replied platonic but polite then he scuffed away to somewhere Nyx possibly had gone. AJ hurried after but then he heard something horrifying. Heavy and he meant heavy footsteps as a giant or at least something enormous. It smelt like dirt and trash but had a tint of nature buried down in the smell.
AJ began to run but he made sure to grab Tycho's arm. They ran away from what AJ felt was danger but they didn't achieve their destination. Instead, they ran into something enormous, tall maybe 10 feet and wide as an elephant. It looked horrid and it had a grey colour to it and it was wearing some brown cloth for clothes. This enormous scary creature was a troll.
As AJ was about to do something stupid someone poked him in the shoulder and he turned around in a lightning bolt only to find his sister and her friend. She frowned at the troll but then she pointed at something, Meadow pointed at the left arm of the big troll and in that very hand was Nyx, trying to fight his way down from the iron grip.

"Hey, sorry that I ran but can I GET SOME BLOODY HELP HERE!", Nyx yelled distraughtly and Meadow had no idea what to do. AJ didn't know either but he started thinking as he always did analyze the troll, see if it has any weaknesses or if you can bribe it someway. But before AJ could come up with a plan Meadow pushed her way in front of him and started doing vivid hand movements in a rush.

"LA HAN GÅ", Meadow screamed strictly and determined and AJ shook his head. Trolls did originally come from Norway or other Nordic countries but that didn't mean that this frickin troll was a Norwegian. The troll grunted loudly before he followed orders and placed Nyx down which ran as fast as his feet could take him and he hid behind Meadow. The troll winced before it went somewhere and none of them felt the urge to follow after it. Tycho and Rio had an amused look on their faces but Nyx looked rather grateful to be freed.

"I have no clue on what you said and I have my doubts that it even was English but whatever it was thank you a million times Meadow. You literally saved my life", Nyx stammered still a little shaken up from his unpleasant meeting.
