Chapter 64 Down the rabbit hole-Part 1

I "Are you sure that Nyx didn't randomly follow you here?", Meadow asked when AJ closed the door behind him. Meadow did want Nyx to come but she didn't want to risk him getting hurt so she didn't tell him anything about their plan to find the Philosopher's stone.

"Yes because he is deeply asleep, I may have asked Madam Pomfrey for a bottle of sleeping draught a while back because I couldn't sleep due to all the thunderstorms. I did definitely not slip some into Nyx's tea on accident but he's gonna be asleep until tomorrow morning, I think...he is a demigod so I don't know how that works but the sleeping draught works on me so it most likely works on him. Besides if he wakes up he can't get down the stairs but Tycho Uhm, let's hope he doesn't wake up", AJ explained changing his tone from low to high pitched.

"Was that a voice crack? You sound like a seagull getting strangled", she claimed nearly in tears by laughter.

"Shut the bread box sister", he said platonic but Meadow didn't find this funny.

"You're lucky that I'm in a good mood but we shouldn't find out how long that mood lasts", Meadow stated softly as she walked towards the voices of the three Gryffindors, further down the hall. AJ huffed before he followed after, it was no way he could make Meadow mad but the chances were still there and if she was mad, he would rather be in a different universe.

"Ay, Potter, Granger, Weasley let's go", Meadow muttered the second she reached the others. Likewise in being fairly honest, Meadow was quite impatient and waiting was something she hated next to running.

"You just waltz in here and boss us around? This was our idea", told Harry a snitch offended, they had waited for Meadow for a while and now she bark around orders? Something isn't adding up.

"Well you guys wanted me to join and I could have gladly gone by myself and I still can if we don't go soon since I have other plans tomorrow than walking around the school like a zombie", she conveyed keeping her lips in a thin line while AJ scratched his head. In a good mood? Yeah, it's going to be a long night...
Meadow didn't waste any more time before she started walking away from the others, towards the trap door and she didn't bother thinking about the three-headed that possibly could be awake.

"She's in a bad mood", AJ stated as he patted both Harry and Ron on the shoulder before he ran after his sister so he would make sure that she wouldn't do anything stupid by herself.

"Yeah we kind of figured", Ron mumbled underneath his breath and Meadow rolled her eyes so far back in her head that she started seeing stars.

"SunnyMed, cool down a bit, where's the sunshine?", AJ asked his sister when he had caught up to her.

"I'm fine okay, I am just frustrated and not in a mood because Nyx refuses to listen to some common sense. He's gonna ask Hagrid if he could borrow Fluffy, the three-headed Hellhound so he could start some foolish quest to try and find his mother that probably doesn't want anything to do with him. Like seriously, I thought that I was enough company for him but nope. He's going to replace me with someone who abandoned him when he was a kid", Meadow admitted so irritated that she was close to seeing red and for her case seeing red was meant literally since her eyes would glow, turning everything she sees to infrared.

"Well if he doesn't listen to common sense then we should help him. You know, make sure he doesn't die on this journey because just place yourself in his footsteps. He doesn't have a family but he knows who his mother is and he has an opportunity to talk to her. If I had an opportunity to talk with our dad, I would have done it in a microsecond.", AJ explained gently but at the same time dreaminess belonged to his voice.

"I guess you're right but he's going to get hurt either way. No matter if he doesn't meet her or if he meets her because I have a feeling that Oizys wouldn't be much help or comfort for Nyx. She's the bloody Goddess of Misery, Depression and Anxiety. Like how can that be a healthy environment for Nyx to live in", she told deflating. All she wanted was for her best friend to be happy but she didn't think that finding his mom would be the cause of any happiness at all.
