"Detention Mr Moonshard!", Argus Filch yelled at Meadow when she skated by and no she definitely hadn't snuck her skateboard into school. Was she getting more ruthless these days? Maybe...

"I don't see any reason why my brother would end in detention?", Meadow replied and took her skateboard in her hands and Filch let out an evil laugh.

"What makes you think I meant your brother?" he had the nerves to say and Meadow knew that this wasn't going to end well.

"You should probably check your eyesight because I ain't a boy", she said and didn't waste a moment before she hurried off to a person she knew could help even though she didn't like that person fairly much.

"If you are born one, you still are one", she heard him whisper and she regained control over herself because if she didn't it was goodbye Argus.

"It's outrageous what he said to me and I can't believe that Dumbledore hired him to be the janitor.", Meadow complained as she had stormed into Snape's office without knocking. She had explained what the caretaker had said but Snape didn't quite understand why she was so upset.

"Sorry Miss Moonshard but I don't seem to get why you are so distraught. Your a girl so", Snape told gently and it felt like he was manoeuvring around a minefield. Meadow was about to lash out and scold him but he realised that she may have left something out and that getting help from Snape instead of Professor McGonagall, wasn't such a brilliant plan.

"Did I mention that I'm a Metamorphmagus", she blurted out and started pacing around the room. Snape already knew that since Meadow had a habit of changing her hair colour when she was mad at him.

"Yes I know that", he replied but he still didn't get it.

"Eh...sorry could I get some water because I never tell people stuff and I don't know why I'm even talking to you but..frick I'm complicated", she rambled and Snape got his wand and made a glass of water appear on his desk which Meadow gladly took the second she saw it.
"Thanks and uhm you will probably hate me and regret talking to me if I say this", she muttered because back in the past she was used to people hating her when they knew her nature.

"That's not gonna happen", Snape claimed softly.

"You know what I can't say it, uhm I know I ask too much but can I write it down because I can't say it", she stammered and dropped herself down a chair when pacing got tiring to do.

Snape had no idea what had gotten him here. All he remembered was that Skyler approached him once before the twins were born and she asked him the most strangest thing. She was the one who actually asked him to be the godparent for the twins but the thing was...he didn't know she was pregnant or at that time Atticus Senior had fallen. He said yes because she was an old knowing to her and she was dating his best friend so he couldn't say no. Years later she knocked on his office door and that was a year before the twins attended Hogwarts. She came with news that she and Atticus had gotten twins but she never mentioned that he was dead. For some reason, she left that information out and he didn't know why.
Now he was talking to his student who he had tried his best to get comfortable around him but should he have done that. He had no experience with kids and that was obscure since he was a teacher.
Deep down he knew he treated the students unfair but he didn't know what else to do with them. How to get them to learn but maybe he could learn from an interesting person.

Snape did what Meadow said and gave her a piece of parchment and a quill. She glanced down on it emptily. If he was going to know everything would change and maybe he would start hating her. She thought for a while and searched for enough courage to write down the sentence, the sentence she hadn't been thinking about ever since she was three.
Skyler knew at an early age that Meadow was different and especially when she wouldn't stop stealing her clothes. Jayden did warn Mama Hale about placing gender labels at a young age and they were right on that because when Meadow learned to speak, she told who she truly was.
