Chapter 65 Down the rabbit hole- Part 2

"Uhm AJ-I-I can barely breathe so help would highly be appreciated because this thing keeps wrapping me up like a Christmas present and I ain't even moving a muscle", Meadow whimpered trying to keep her hands in between a tendril and her neck. She wasn't fighting, she was just making sure that she didn't get choked to death. She had been completely still and calm but this snare wouldn't let her go, no matter what she did.

"Yeah, a little help please, BECAUSE I DON'T WANNA DIE", Ron cried loudly before a tentacle started vining around his mouth. Harry couldn't exactly speak at the moment since he was covered by the tendrils and creepers.

"Hermione, you're smart but do you know some weakness to this thing?", AJ rambled to his classmate.

"Devil's snare-it doesn't like light or fire so that means...", Hermione replied ready to reach after her wand but before she had the chance to AJ took out his wand which she hadn't seen before now.

"Is Lumos Solem gonna work?", he asked softly hoping to get an answer fast and luckily he did when Hermione nodded.
"LUMOS SOLEM", yelled AJ the second later and a blinding flash of sunlight shot out from his walnut wood wand but for his shock, it wasn't only his wand that had sunlight beaming from it because Hermione had said the same inaction a moment after him.
For a moment it sounded like the Devil's snare whimpered in pain before it started retreating to the edges of the walls and it wasn't a while after that before it released its victims. Meadow fell straight down but she managed to land perfectly while Harry nearly fell on his face while Ron stumbled down to his butt.

"That took you guys long enough but thanks for saving my life, Hermione and Junior", Meadow muttered giggling since she wasn't the kind of type to dwell over things that would take other people months to get over.

"Is that what I get for saving you?", said AJ rather offended by his own DNA calling him Junior. Technically he shouldn't get hurt by this since he is basically Atticus Junior besides Meadow is almost thirteen hours older than him which he didn't bother to think about.

"Yeah, pretty much", Meadow replied platonic as she started to look around her. They were in a large room with a tall roof and on the end of the room was a door with an old lock that she walked towards without alerting the others. AJ immediately realised what his twin was up to so he pricked Hermione in the shoulder before he pointed in the direction where Meadow went.

"Is she okay?", Hermione asked keeping her eyes on the ground. She wasn't really that good friends with Meadow but she still cared for her roommate definitely after Meadow told her why she was so connected to her teddy bear Miss Fluffell.

"Eh, that's a very good question. I think she is alright but at the same time sleepy and when she is tired she is mad grumpy and she didn't eat dinner to top the whole thing off", he explained sighing. He had tried his best to get Meadow to eat something but she refused. She said she couldn't eat since her head was buzzing with thoughts.
Ron and Harry were standing beside Meadow and they weren't exactly waiting patiently for Hermione and AJ. They quickly got to the others and when they did Meadow tried the door handle to the door but she wasn't surprised when it was locked shut.

"Anyone do Alohomora since I don't have my wand with me", Meadow told awkwardly. AJ frowned since he always thought that his sister had her wand at her at all times and she did usually do that. The reason that Meadow didn't have her wand was that Snape confiscated it as a lesson because Meadow had apparently walked around the school hallways, saying incantations for spells in her sleep. She had tried to explain to her Potions Professor that she slept walk but he didn't believe her. Luckily Snape agreed to give her the wand back during classes but besides that, she wasn't allowed to get near her willow wood wand.
