Chapter 73 Cold Summer

The summer had rushed by and it wasn't long until the twins and their friends would spend another year at Hogwarts, which Hopefully wouldn't have a teacher with two faces and that the school wouldn't be in life-threatening danger. The Hogwarts letters had arrived for a week ago and everyone besides from Luna Lovegood had already brought the supplies that were needed.

"C'mon guys, the shop closes soon and I really want ice cream before we head back home", Meadow complained as she tugged on Nyx's sleeve. Meadow, Tycho, Luna, Nyx, Hyperion and AJ was currently in Diagon Alley, mainly shopping for Luna's school supplies but at the same time buying some stuff the rest needed. AJ had already used his stock of parchment and every drop of ink had been used. Hyperion had managed to lose their three Feather quills so they needed to buy that. Even Nyx needed something for school and that was a new scale because he accidentally broke his last one when he and Meadow were trying to brew a memory Potion. The mystery about how Tycho had managed to make a forgetfulness Potion, into a memory Potion, was still unknown.

"But we have to go wand shopping and it's still open for another hour, Dove.", Tycho suggested in hope that she wouldn't ramble on and on about that ice cream was something highly important.

"Ty, that wasn't a good idea", Nyx mumbled when he saw Meadow's face just continuously dropping her smile.

"What if we split up then? Tycho and I can go with Luna to Ollivanders while Nyx, Rio and my twiny can get ice cream", AJ compiled trying his best to plunge his sisters' mood. Meadow had been a literal rollercoaster after that stupid sleeping curse but she was getting way better than she was before. She could simply be more agitated and irritated easily, lately but besides that she was fine.
Hyperion frowned when they spotted someone fairly familiar walking out of Flourish and Blotts, with her arms filled with books.

"AY! SPARKS!", yelled Hyperion sonorous and Persephone quickly turned her head around which caused her to smile before she walked over to Hyperion. Hyperion had stayed at her place until last week since Lynx wanted to spend some time with their other friends as well.

"Hello", she said brightly struggling to balance all her books. Meadow slightly shook her head before she jumped off the ground and grabbed some of the books from the tall pile.

"Good day, Persephone and you don't need to carry all those books by yourself", Meadow muttered with a huge grin glued stuck on her lips.

"Aw, thank you, Meadow. It's good to see that someone cares about my back", she replied with a gaze aimed at Hyperion.

"So you will be taking your N.E.W.T.s this year? That's what the books are for, right?", Nyx mentioned optimistically. Luna, AJ and Tycho had gone their ways and the plan was to meet up outside Gringotts before they had to leave Diagon Alley. This time they all travelled by Floo powder, even though AJ despised the stuff but his mom was busy with a shift and Jayden was still in Lunar Falls, packing up their house.

"Yeah but some of the books are for something else because guess what?", uttered Persephone nearly glowing in joy.

"What is it this time Sparks?", Hyperion claimed in an interested tone.

"Nah nothing too big but McGonagall decided that I was going to be PREFECT this year!", she announced happily, moving her shoulders in a little dance and tap dancing on the spot.

"Congratulations Persephone, I'm sure that you will be an amazing prefect", Meadow said as she leant in closer to her. "Don't mind looking the other way if I and my friends get in some trouble...", she whispered and then she stepped aside. "And if you find me walking in the hallways of the middle of the night, it's most likely that I'm sleepwalking", she continued in a modulated voice.
