185 🩺 The Rain Stans

Late at night, Mingi yawned as he made his way to find coffee. Having just gotten off of his shift, he had made a short stop to get his bag from the lockers before making his way towards the cart. It had been a long day, but Mingi felt empowered by the fact that tomorrow, he had an entire day off. Just the thought of sleeping in was enough to put a spring to his step.

And so making his way around the corner, Mingi smiled as he saw Sejun standing behind the cart, exchanging a kind wave as their eyes met.

'You came just in time.'

'Oh?'

'One minute later and I would have been closed.'

Mingi laughed. 'I kind of doubted you'd be working this late. I thought I'd just drop by on my way to the bus.'

Sejun smirked, already making his usual. 'I'm not usually working this late, but the girl who was supposed to show up, simply didn't.'

Mingi rolled his eyes. 'Love punctuality.'

'Yes, we do.'

Paying for his coffee, Mingi frowned as he saw Sejun make another.

However his confusion didn't last long, as the moment they were both finished, Sejun stepped out from behind the cart and pulled the roller door down.

'I'm officially off work~.'

'Congratulations~.'

'Thank you~' Bowing gracefully, Sejun cracked a smirk before yawning. 'Did you say you were bussing home?'

Mingi nodded, shoving one hand in his pocket as he cradled his coffee close to his chest, soaking up its warmth.

'You know it's absolutely pissing rain outside?'

Mingi groaned. 'No, I didn't. Lovely.'

Sejun laughed. 'I can give you a lift if you'd like? Do you live far?'

'Oh no no it's fine! I'll just go pinch one of my Hyung's jumpers from his locker. I think the bus is like half an hour away anyways.'

'Oh stop it. Which way are you?'

'... I live south a little...'

Sejun gave him a wide smile. 'So do I~. Come on, don't be ridiculous. It's not even that big of a deal. Car pooling saves the planet,' he joked.

And Mingi sighed, giving in. He wasn't particularly keen to sit out in the rain waiting for his bus... 'Are you sure...?'

'I am going to print out a sign on A-three paper that says 'yes' and stick it on my head. Come on, I'm parked in the staff parking.'
