Having just showered and settled into bed, Yeosang sat in the dark gazing out the window at the stars. Flipping his phone in his hands, his heart was aching...

He decided not to wait any longer.

Yeosang
Jong-ah.. U busy??

He held his breath for the first few moments, hoping that he would get a response...

But lately, replies were becoming few and far between, and with it becoming harder and harder to align schedules, he felt like he hadn't seen him in forever...

Jongho
Hey baby ♡
I'm studying for finals
U right?

Yeosang swallowed back disappointment, despite having already known that would be the answer.

Yeosang
Yeah 🙂
I guess I just missed u..

And wasn't that the understatement of the century?

Jongho
Aww baby
I miss you too
I promise we'll see each other when finals are done ♡

Yeosang bit back the bitter sadness in his throat as he closed his eyes, breathing through it. He knew well enough that if time was limited now, it would only get worse.

But he missed him so much, and his chest ached with separation sickness.

Yeosang
Okay ~
Good luck with ur study :)
Call me if u need help ♥️

Jongho

Yeosang felt tears prickle in his eyes.

Yeosang squeezed his eyes shut and felt hot tears spill down over his cheeks. 'Fuck,' he whispered, wiping them away. How had this happened? When had he become so invested?

Tossing his phone back onto his bedside table, he shuffled down the mattress and tucked himself in under the blankets.

However after a couple moments passed, he groaned. 'Fuck it.'

Getting out of bed, Yeosang didn't even bother to put his slippers on as he left his room and walked next door into his brother's. Wooyoung had been only just reaching over to turn out his lamp as he looked up, and the moment his eyes fell upon him, his expression went soft.

'Sangie,' he whispered.

But Yeosang just shook his head.

And Wooyoung instinctively knew he didn't want to talk. Instead, he turned out the light and scooted across, making room for him to crawl in beside him.

And despite his heart aching, Yeosang instantly felt comforted beside him - happy even. It felt incredibly safe here, and he knew that no matter what happened in his life, Wooyoung would always be the constant that brought him warmth and content. Boys would come and go, jobs would come and go, life, would move on.

But his brother would always be there, and despite Wooyoung having said his whole life that Yeosang had been the one to hold his hand through every moment growing up, Yeosang couldn't help but feel that Wooyoung had been the one to hold his, helping him move forward, when he no longer knew how to.

'Night, Sangie. I love you,'  Wooyoung whispered, shuffling closer and resting his head against his.

Yeosang nuzzled closer, breathing in his homely scent. 'Night night, Woo. I love you too.'
