Absolutely red raw, paining like he'd given up a literal piece of his soul, Yeosang couldn't find the energy to actually put his key in the door. He could barely walk up the stairs.

And so collapsing to lean against the wall, he rested his cheek to the door jam and let his tears slip down his cheeks in hot, agonising streaks.

'J-J-Joo-Joong-ah...' he hiccuped, pleading in his voice...

And as though he'd been waiting for him to come home all day, the sound of Hongjoong's hurried footsteps sounded, only travelling a short distance before the door opened...

'Oh honey... Come here Sang,' he breathed, ushering him into his arms. 'Sweet sweet Sangie, shhhh, hush now. You've done well. I'm so proud of you, you're so strong...'

He sure as hell didn't feel strong. Being brought inside, Hongjoong ushered him straight down the hallway into his room, letting him sit on his bed and pulling his shoes off for him.

'I want my brother...' he cried, holding out his arms towards his Hyung as he pulled back the blankets and crawled up beside him.

'Okay hun, shhhh, I'll ring him,' he whispered, plucking his mobile from his bedside table, before scooting over and huddling him into his arms. 'Shhh,' he cooed over and over, patting down his hair and rubbing his back. Pressing his phone to his ear, Yeosang could hear the dial tone faintly between them, and it only took three rings for the line to connect.

'Hyung, what's up?' The sound of Wooyoung's smooth voice had an immediate soothing effect, like rubbing aloe vera into a burn... It eased the pain, and although it made his tears worse, he actually felt marginally better.

'Woo, can you come home? Sang needs you...'

Yeosang crawled closer, reaching up timidly for the phone. Hongjoong rubbed his cheek, before pressing the loudspeaker function, and giving him the phone to cradle tenderly in his hands. Hugging his knees close, he rested the phone atop them, staring through teary, blurry eyes at the call.

'W-w-w... Woo-... Wooyoung-ahh~~~' he sobbed, resting his forehead down against the phone and leaning into Hongjoong's side.

'Sang-' Immediate scuffling came through the phone, before 'San where are my keys?- Sang-ah, Hyung, hun I'm coming home right now, hmm?' He sniffed, and his voice was becoming slightly hoarse. 'I'm coming home, I'm going to be there so soon, and I'm not going to leave-... Give Joong-ah a hug for me... Okay? He's probably really worried about you, and you'll make him feel happy if you give him a realllllly big hug - one for him, and two for me, okay?'

His chest throbbed, and as he glanced up at Hongjoong, he saw him nod. Rotating in his arms, he devastatingly put his arms around him and hugged him, just like Wooyoung had asked him to. He felt warm and safe, and he smelled sweetly of home... A safe place, he never wanted to leave...

A sniff sounded through the phone, before a little bit of a commotion. '-I don't know I have to go now...' sounded Wooyoung's terrified voice.

'You're flustered, I'll drive you,' came San's voice, quickly followed by 'Is everything okay?' A voice he recognised as Mingi.

But no response came. The sound of a door opening and shutting, and keys tinkling together sounded, and it was a relief, as to Yeosang, it was the sound of his brother coming to make him okay again, kissing the boo boo that was his devastated love life, and making it all better again...

'Sangie... I'm sorry I'm not there...' Came Wooyoung's soft voice, accompanied by the sound of San in the background.

Yeosang sniffed, digging his head into his Hyung's chest. 'I-i-it's- o-o-o-kay,' he stuttered, almost hyperventilating over his tears.

'Hyung-ah... Baby don't cry... Not while I'm not there... I'm going to be there soon, hmm? We can cry together... But you're not allowed to without me, okay?'

He sniffed, wiping his tears against Hongjoong's shirt and trying desperately not to let any others fall.

'Okay? Hyung?'

He nodded over and over against his Hyung's chest, but he couldn't quite get his words out...

And so Hongjoong took the phone, pulling him more tightly against him. 'He says okay. Wooyoung drive safely, mhm?'

He sniffed. 'Sannie's driving... I'll be there soon, okay?'

Yeosang's heart ached.

'M-m-mhm... P-p-please... Woo...'
