Santana's POV
Blaire and I went to the beach today. "Hey girls." I heard. I looked over. "Kat! Hey! You're back!" I smiled. She sat down with us. "Yeah. Just for a few days. How are you two doing?" She asked. "I've been better. Kara's been up my ass a little too much lately." I huffed. "Gee I wonder why." Kat rolled her eyes. "What's that supposed to mean?" I raised an eyebrow. "Look, you know I'm always behind you, but Kara isn't wrong by any means. You're a lazy whore that sleeps around with anyone willing, just to avoid the tough conversations with your moms about being a superhero. Which is hilarious, because you're really only making it worse for yourself." She explained. I was taken back. So much in fact, that I had to lift my sunglasses to show her how shocked I was. Blaire bit her lip to hold in her laugh. "And how are you, Blaire?" Kat smiled. Blaire's smile fell. "I'm fine." She shut up quickly. "Way to avoid the deep dive on your home life." I rolled my eyes. Blaire shrugged and looked away. "Oh hey! I see my lunch!" She pointed. We all looked over. A girl with gray dog ears and a tail walked over to us. She sat down in front of us and handed me a bag. "Your order, my lady." She smiled. "Thanks Cleo." I laughed and took it. "Hey kitty! Nice to see you." Cleo smiled. "You too, pup. Any new inventions lately?" Kat asked. "Nope. Not lately. Just fine tuning some old stuff." Cleo replied. Kat nodded.

"Did you guys see that Bailey is back?" Blaire asked. "Yeah. Ella was over the other day. She and Kara were talking about it. She's rejoined The Arrows." I replied. "No I meant, have you seen her? Puberty hit her good." Blaire smirked. I laughed. "You know, every time I think maybe one of us is the weird one, you open your mouth, and suddenly I feel better about myself." Kat said. Cleo and I laughed. Blaire rolled her eyes. "You're gonna wish you were thinking like me pretty soon, Kat. Isn't your marriage deadline coming up?" She asked. Kat frowned. "Yes, and I'm working on it. I still have to pick a universe to find a partner in." She replied. "Is that really a question?" I asked. "Yeah! A big one! I was born here, and you all are my family, but I have a life and a family over there too. Sure, everything is a little darker over there, but things here aren't exactly perfect." She explained. "If you want to keep your connection with Earth thirty two, I suggest you find one there. Once your dad gets too old, he'll probably stay here with Charlie, and then you won't have any reason to switch worlds anymore." Cleo noted. Kat sighed. "I guess that's true." She looked down. "You guys are getting way too emotional for my taste." I huffed. "Oh yeah, cause it would just kill you to have emotions, wouldn't it?" Kat spat. I glared at her. Suddenly, an alarm went off on Blaire and Kat's phones. "Crap. Another robbery. You wanna come, Kat?" Blaire asked. "Sure. See you later, Santana." She stood up and they left. "Gosh, I'd love to be a superhero." Cleo wagged her tail. I huffed and dropped my sunglasses back down. "No, you really don't." I replied.

Cleo went home when her mom called and I went home not long after. "Hey Santana! How was the beach?" Mom asked, as I walked in. I glanced up at Apollo, still in her SENA uniform. "Fine, I guess. It's just the beach, mom." I shrugged. "Yeah, but I saw Blaire on the news. I just wanted to see if you were ok after she left." She replied. "I'm fine mom! It's just the beach." I groaned. Her smile cracked for a second, but she kept it up. "Right, well you might wanna call Blaire. She and Kat got beat up pretty bad earlier." Mom said. "What?! Why?" I shrieked. "They were outnumbered. It was four to two." She shrugged. "Why didn't Kara or Lizz help them? Why not The Arrows?" I asked. "The Arrows have very specific calls that they take. Lizz and Kara were across town putting out a fire." She answered. "What about you? Or mom? Or Weather Vane?" I kept asking. "We were at work. You know I can't look at my phone at work. That's why you kids step in until we're out." She explained. "But they still got hurt? There wasn't a single person that could help them?!" I snapped. Mom opened her mouth to speak, but closed it and glanced to the side. "No. There wasn't." She mumbled. I groaned and rolled my eyes. "Mom I-" she looked back at me and I stopped. I sighed and looked away. "Sorry I snapped. I'll call Blaire." I walked away. As I turned the corner, Aurelia walked past me. "Am I doing something wrong?" Apollo whispered. I stopped dead in my tracks. "No, honey. You know how she is." Aurelia replied. I took a deep breath. "I'm really trying." Apollo whimpered. "I know. It's not your fault, Heather." Aurelia whispered. I gripped my fist and stormed into my room.

I slammed my bag down and punched my bed. Then I sat down and groaned to myself. "Is the guilt eating you up?" I heard. I slowly looked up and sighed. "Kat. Now's not the time for your lecture." I spat. "Isn't it?" She came in and shut the door. Kat came over and sat down beside me. I glanced over at her. "Are you ok?" I asked. "Of course. You know it takes a lot to tear me down." She smiled. I frowned. "Is Blaire ok?" I asked. "Blaire's gonna be fine. It's just some bruising." She replied. I sighed heavily and dropped my head into my hands. Kat wrapped her arm around me. "You don't have to feel guilty, Santana. You don't want to be a superhero and that's ok." Kat assured me. "But I do feel guilty, Kat. How can I not? When I have the same powers as Paws, and my best friends get hurt, and I do nothing! And why?! Because I'm scared!" I exclaimed, and fell back onto my bed. Kat leaned over to face me. "What exactly are you afraid of?" She asked. I took a deep breath. "Honestly? ...I don't know." I admitted. Kat sighed and sat up. "I'm gonna go check on Blaire. Do you want to come?" She asked. I hesitated for a moment. "No. Not right now. I need to shower." I replied. "Alright. Just don't invite any whores over, ok? You need some real rest to think." She patted my leg and stood up. "Right... thinking." I nodded.

Retro's POV
Santana texted me. She asked that I help take care of this robber gang that keeps striking. "That's nice of her. Trying to protect her friends." Ella said. "If she wanted to do that, she'd do it herself." I huffed. "You're really gonna say no?" Ella asked. "Of course not, but if we're gonna handle things like this, we'll need extra insurance. I'll be right back." I said. "Where are you heading?" She asked. "Hell." I replied.

I went through the portal house into Hell. "Hey Fates! Your favorite cousin is here!" I yelled, sarcastically. "What makes you think it's you?" I heard. I jumped and spun around. "Cal! Don't do that." I huffed. She just stared at me. "What do you want?" She asked. "You know what I want. You always know what I want." I spat. "Yeah. That's my job." She shrugged. "So why do you ask?" I asked. "It gives the illusion that I might be surprised. So, you want insurance?" She asked. "Yes. Can you, Lemmy, and Alex come to school in the overworld with us? I know you can't tell us anything about the future, but you can lend a hand in other ways, and I think having you girls around would be nice." I explained. She thought for a moment. "I'll talk to them, and to my mom. If everyone agrees, I'll let you know. I should warn you though, this path that you're asking for? It leads to a long series of events. Both good and bad. Are you ready to take this risk?" She asked. I smiled and nodded. "I am." I replied. Cal smiled and laughed a little. "No you're not. Word of advice. You're gonna want to expand your team." She patted my shoulder and walked away. "God I hate when she does that." I mumbled. "I know!" Cal yelled back.
