Bailey's POV
I showed Riley how to hold up the bow and shoot it correctly, and Sean taught her how to aim better and do moving targets and whatever else. But then Sean got a call from his mom and took a break to go talk with her. "Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it." Riley said. "No problem." I smiled. "You two make a good team. Plus, I think she's into you." Riley laughed. "What?! Wait... she? Who are you talking about?" I asked, confused. Riley blinked at me. "Is Sean not a girl? I mean, I could be wrong. I only just met most of you, but the clothes, the voice, and the hair all seemed like a girl to me. The name threw me off, but there are girls with guy names." Riley shrugged. My eyes widened and I glanced over at Sean on the phone. "Oh my god!" I shrieked. "What? Am I wrong? Like seriously, am I wrong? I don't wanna misgender anybody." Riley asked. "You're fine, but I'm not! I'm the biggest jerk ever! I just came back from New York and I made fun of his new look because I thought it was weird for a guy to do. I didn't even think he could be trans!" I exclaimed. Riley just stared at me. "So... am I wrong?" She asked. "I don't know! That's the problem!" I groaned. "Chill out. It's not that big of a deal. You've known each other forever. I doubt they took it personally. Besides, if you really care so much about someone's gender, then you're the weird one. Not them. It's not like they're identifying as a toaster!" Riley explained. I sighed. "But I was so mean to him- her- ugh! I don't even know what to say now!" I groaned. "Why don't you ask?" Riley pointed behind me and I turned around.

Sean walked back over, still staring at his phone. "Hey!" I snatched his phone away. Sean raised an eyebrow at me. "Are you a woman?" I asked. His eyebrows shot up. "I'm sorry?" He asked. "Do you identify as a female?" I asked specifically. Sean just blinked at me. "I... I haven't... I wanted to..." His breath got heavier. "Way to be subtle." Riley rolled her eyes. I huffed. "Sorry. I just... Riley thought you were a girl when you met, and now I'm wondering if I hurt your feelings when you started training me." I admitted. Sean sighed. "I know you were just joking, and I haven't told everyone yet but... yes. I had a gender spell a while ago, and I legally changed my name to Sky." She explained. I smiled softly. "So you're not mad at me?" I asked. She shook her head. "No. We're cool, Bailey. Come on, let's head inside." Sky walked away. Riley put her hand on my shoulder. "She's not mad because she likes you." She whispered. "One thing at a time, Riley." I spat.

Later that night, we all went to dinner as a team. Sky wore her hair down for the first time since I've been back. It actually looked a lot better than I was expecting. I guess I was expecting to still see manly features, but those spells she was talking about really did the trick. She's a whole new person. "Ok, guys. Quiet for a minute. I have a couple things to say." Retro announced. "Oh here we go. What now, Orange? Are you and Ella finally dating?" Dylan asked. "First of all, we're in public so don't call me that, and secondly, no. So stop suggesting that!" Retro snapped. Ella just slowly shrunk into her seat out of embarrassment. "Anyways, I'd like to officially welcome Riley to the team, with her new uniform!" Retro handed Riley a box. Riley dug through it and smiled. "Is it seriously just a jacket?" She asked. "Yeah. Simple but efficient. And now Sean has something to tell us." Retro gestured to Sky. She smiled nervously and took a deep breath. "You guys know how I've changed my voice and my hair and stuff?" She asked. The team nodded. "Well uh... I changed my name too! My new legal name is Sky, and I uh... I'm trans." She admitted. Everyone just stared at her for a moment. "Did you legally change that too?" Dylan asked, and Addison punched her. "Yes. I did. Thank you, Dylan." Sky snapped. "Are you even old enough for that surgery?" Max asked. "There's a spell for it, dip shit! And my mom is like... the best spell caster out there so..." Sky shrugged. "Isn't that illegal?" Max asked. "Are these really the only questions you guys have?!" Sky exclaimed. "What were you expecting? None of us give a shit. As long as you're happy, who cares?" Dylan smiled. "That explains why Aunt Zill was drained all the time. Those spells can't be easy." Addison said. "I told her she didn't have to, but she insisted on helping me." Sky shrugged. "Why god? Stop adding girls to this team! Please! I already have gay dads! My whole life is just women!" Connor groaned. "What the fuck am I?" Max asked. Connor ignored him. "I can assure you that the gods don't give a shit about you or your complaints." Retro smiled. Connor rolled his eyes. "Sorry dude." Sky chuckled. Connor smiled at her. "I'm just kidding. I'm happy for you." He said. "Does that mean you're paying for our dinner? Since you're the man?" Sky asked. Connor laughed in her face. "Hell no! Leader pays!" He pointed at Retro. Her eyebrows shot up. "I agree! Leader pays!" Dylan smirked. "Fuck you. All of you." Retro huffed.
