Riley's POV
As I stepped out of the shower, Emma whistled, and I giggled. Then I wrapped a towel around myself and walked to the closet. Emma came up behind me and wrapped her arms around me. "Hey baby." She kissed my cheek. "Hi! What's got you so loving?" I chuckled. She shrugged. "Mother's Day is always hard. I'm just glad it's over." She sighed. "Yeah. Nothing compared to Father's Day though." I laughed. Emma let go as I grabbed my clothes. The towel dropped as I pulled on my underwear and my pajama pants. Before I could put my shirt on, Emma spun me to face her and I shrieked. "Em!" I laughed. She hugged me tightly and I raised an eyebrow as I hugged back. "Em, what's going on?" I asked. Emma sighed as she pulled back and she ran her fingers over the scar on my shoulder. "You need to tell them." She said. "What? Tell them what?" I asked. She took her hand away and I put my shirt on. "About your dad. You need to tell them about Henry. Everyone is in danger until you tell them." She explained. My eyes widened and I took a step back. "No. I can't! You know how hard it is for me to talk about him." I gripped at my shoulder. Emma sighed. "I know! And I would never ask you to do this if it wasn't for your own good! But if you can't bring yourself to talk about him, then what's gonna happen when he shows up and tries to hurt everyone that you love. We both know that's what's coming." She replied. I frowned and looked down. "I know... god! If only I could have stopped him!" I groaned. "Riley, listen to me." Emma put her hands on my shoulders. "You've done nothing wrong, and there's nothing you could have done to stop him on your own, but they can help you. So tell them. Please." She begged. I stared at her for a moment and then took a deep breath. "Ok. I'll do it... just not right now! They just had a great day with their moms, and we all have school tomorrow. I'll find some time to tell everyone this week." I agreed. Emma smiled. "Ok, honey. If you say so." She replied.
It seemed like every day of the week, at least one member of the team was missing. Ella kept leaving to help her sister with homework, and Max and Connor were out with their girlfriends almost every night. I tried to tell Retro alone, but she said that if it was important, that we should wait for the others. Of course, by the time they all got home, I was already asleep. So on Friday, I finally gave up on telling my team, and made my way to the matrix. "Hello? Zephyr!" I shouted. April zoomed over to me as I walked in. "Ah! Don't do that!" I shrieked. "Sorry. Zephyr's on a date right now. I can bring you to Zane if you want." She offered. "Um... I guess." I shrugged. Before I could take a step, April scooped me up and super-sped us to his office. I gagged when she put me down and leaned over on the wall. "Oh... sorry." She shrugged and ran away. "What the hell?" I groaned. "She's like that sometimes. What can I do for you, Black?" Zane asked. I looked up at him and walked over to his desk. "I'm ready to reveal everything about Henry." I explained. His eyes widened. "Oh god I really wish Zephyr was here. Ok! Let me get something to write this down." He started rifling through his desk and I sat down. Once he found his clipboard, I cleared my throat. "Henry Crister is my father, and he is a super human. He has the power of electricity, that I did not inherit, and he is admittedly very good at making potions." I started. "Alright. Do you have a picture?" He asked. "You can look him up. He has a mug shot." I replied. "That's just great! Ok what else." Zane groaned. "He used to be an alcoholic, but I guess not now because he can't make potions when he's drunk. He's uh... been looking for me... for a long time." I admitted. Zane glanced up at me. "And he sent you to Teen Island, correct?" He asked. "I guess so. It makes the most sense." I nodded. Zane wrote a few more things after I finished talking. "What do you think he gets out of working with David? What do you think they want?" He asked. I stared at him for a moment and sighed. "What he's always wanted. He wants his little girl back." I answered. Zane looked up in concern. "And I'd assume that David wants the same." I added. Zane reached his hand across the desk. "We're gonna stop them, Riley. It'll be ok." He said. I stared down at his hand and shook my head. "I'd like to believe you... but we're too late." I sighed. Zane pulled his hand back and looked down. "Is there anything else you can tell me?" He asked. I stood up from the chair. "Hide all of the information that you have on them somewhere safe, but not here. It's not safe here." I advised. Zane took a deep breath and nodded. "I'll send a copy to Arrows HQ and Paws' lab. Good luck, Riley." He said. I sighed heavily. "Good luck, Zane." I replied.
Amber's POV
On Saturday, I woke up at Ember's house. "Crap. What time is it? We have to do training with your sisters today!" Ember rolled over and grabbed her phone. I groaned and pulled the blanket back over my head. "Where's your phone? I don't have their numbers." She said. I furrowed my brow in confusion. "Yes you do." I huffed. Still, she reached over me and grabbed my phone. I didn't think anything of it until Ember tapped me. "Hey. Why's Ms. Forrester texting you?" She asked. I shot up and snatched my phone from her. I deleted Ms. Forrester's number a while ago. "I don't know... but I don't see any of our friends in my contacts either!" I exclaimed. "Why's she asking where you ran away to?" Ember asked. We looked at each other in confusion. "Christian!" We yelled in unison. He walked in through the wall. "I thought you said I wasn't allowed in your bedroom." He huffed. "What's going on? What happened?" I asked. "Oh! You noticed! Good for you! I'm afraid I can't tell you everything, because that breaks some rules, but! Basically, some evil dudes cursed your entire band of heroes, and now only a few of you have your memories intact." He explained. "What?! Where is everyone?" Ember asked. "I actually don't know where your friends are. All I know is that those two idiots messed with time." He crossed his arms. "I thought you said mortals couldn't do that." I replied. "No, I said mortals can't time travel! Or wield time magic! I never said they couldn't cast a spell." He explained. "What kind of spell?" Ember asked. "Let's just say they used some pretty powerful potions." Christian shrugged. "Ugh! Ok, well where can we go?" I asked. "Hmm... don't go home. They won't know you or believe you... but maybe try those colorful people." He suggested. "The Arrows?" I asked. "Yeah. Them." He nodded. "Seriously dude? You have nothing better to do with your life. Learn their names!" Ember yelled. I patted her shoulder. "Come on babe. We have work to do." I sighed.
Ember and I transformed, and she opened a portal for us to get to Arrows HQ. The room was empty and not a single light was on. "Check those rooms. I'll get this side." I ordered, and Ember nodded. We ran to either side of the room and started checking all of the bedrooms. No one was here. It's like the building was abandoned. "Their parents have rooms right? Maybe we check their floor?" Ember suggested. "You won't find anyone!" We heard. The door opened and three people walked in. We pointed our sticks at them immediately. "Identify yourselves!" Ember shouted. "You must be Shock Wave and Solar Flare. My name is Lila. This is Mia and Josh. We're The Cyan Arrow, Ella's, siblings." They explained. I lowered my stick. "You believe them?" Ember asked. "They have similar facial features. Besides, we need all the help we can get. I'm Amber. That's Ember. You three have your memories?" I asked. They nodded. "Dad was home this morning, which never happens on a Saturday. Then when we asked about Ella, he had no idea who we were talking about, and neither did our mom. She didn't answer her phone, so we came here to find her but-" Lila gestured to the empty room. "Well that's great! Do you guys have any idea what's going on?" Ember asked. We walked over to them. "Sorry. No clue." Lila shrugged. "Hey guys?" We heard. Josh had opened the door to Ella and Retro's room. We walked over to him and looked inside. "I have a feeling they made a struggle." He said. There were long scratch marks all along the carpet, starting at their beds and leading to the door. "Oh my god... they must've been attacked in their sleep." Lila gasped as we walked in. "There's nothing in here. How are we supposed to help them?" Ember asked. "The matrix! We should check there! Zane gave me the emergency codes while we were dating. I can get us in!" Lila smiled. "No! We can't." I replied, and Lila raised an eyebrow. "Ember and I were warned against going to Paws' house. I doubt the matrix is any safer. Whatever we do needs to happen here." I explained. "Isn't this place connected to the matrix? Just use the codes on a computer in the live room." Mia suggested. We all looked over at her and she blushed. "Stop staring at me. You're creeping me out." She groaned.
We ran back out to the live room and Lila logged into the computer. "You know Ella's password?" Ember asked. "I stalk her. I know everything." Lila replied. She opened the matrix website and put in three different access codes to get to the real site. "What are we looking for?" She asked. "Any sort of distress signals or just any recent activity." I answered. She typed something else, and hummed in confusion. "No distress calls, but the most recent message is from last night. Zane sent information to HQ and the lab. Here!" Lila opened the file and we all leaned in. "Henry and David. I remember dad talking about them. Those are the guys that turned him sixteen that one time." Josh read it over. "They also sent Riley to Teen Island. Ella said that their plan failed last time. They must have finally succeeded." Lila added. "Succeeded in what? What good does wiping your parents' memories and kidnapping the kid heroes do? They didn't even get all of us!" Ember exclaimed. I looked down in thought. "Chris said that they messed with time. They must have done something to keep all of us from being where we were yesterday, but what could have made such a big impact?" I asked. Lila and her siblings all slowly turned to each other in horror. "What? What is it?" I asked. Lila looked back at me. "They wiped The Arrows from history." She explained.
