Zephyr's POV
Gypsy came into my office as I aggressively typed on my computer. "Hey! You called? Oh jeez- you look awful. What's going on babe?" She asked. I groaned and stood up from my desk. "It's been a week and I still haven't heard anything from that so-called 'Shock Wave.' Amber says that she's told her to talk to me, but here I am, not being talked to! I'm going to shove that pole she uses right up her ass." I snarled. Gypsy raised an eyebrow and walked over to me. "Relax, Z. Amber just joined that family. She's probably freaking out with all of this! It's not exactly normal. Give her some time to settle. I'm sure that once she's settled, Shock Wave will reveal herself." She explained. "And in the meantime, I'm supposed to wait on this girl that I've never met to just show up and help when we need her? That's not how things work here, Gypsy. David and Henry are still out there. We don't have time for them to settle." I replied. Gypsy sighed. "You're right. What can I do to help?" She asked. "You're very good at pinpointing portals. I need you to see if you can track the portals that Shock Wave came through." I explained. Her eyebrows shot up. "You want me to track a portal that closed a week ago?" She asked, confused. I nodded and she groaned. "That's not gonna be easy, babe. The magic particles from that portal are probably all gone by now." She shrugged. "Not this one. Look." I handed her my phone. "I scanned over the areas where her portals opened. Whatever magic she possesses is extremely potent. These red parts here? Would have faded days ago if it was a normal portal. I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find it." I explained. Gypsy nodded. "I'll do my best." She smiled nervously. I smiled and kissed her. "You always do, but don't worry. I'm coming with you. If I stay here, I'll just be angrily searching dead ends." I huffed. She handed me back my phone. "Alright. Let's go then." She said.

I sat on the roof of Gypsy's warehouse as she scanned the field for traces of the portal. "You know, I'm really proud of you for working so hard on the dinotrons. You did an amazing job." I noted. "Thanks! You know I'd gladly do anything to make up for my mistakes." Gypsy replied. "Oh come on, babe. It's been a year! I'm not mad at you anymore. I've forgiven you, and so has everyone else. You know that, right?" I asked. Gypsy flew over and sat down beside me. "Yeah, but it's still nice to hear sometimes. Just when I feel guilty." She shrugged. I smiled softly and wrapped my arm around her. She wrapped her wing around me and showed me her phone. "You were right. These are some of the most powerful portals I've ever seen. More powerful than any portal I've ever used." She explained. "And after that lightning blast? Impressive." I noted, and she nodded in agreement. "Yes. Impressive and inhuman." She added. "What?" I asked. "The magic used to create this portal is similar to the ones that the Fates use to visit you. This is godly magic." She explained. My eyes widened. "Jesus Christ- ok. Can you still track it?" I asked. "Oh yeah! There's no problem with that, but do you really want to? I mean, if this girl has a god on her side... do you really want to deal with her?" She asked. I took a deep breath and nodded. "It's my job. Track that portal." I replied. Gypsy sighed and started searching for Shock Wave.

Once Gypsy tracked down her signal, I suited up and traveled to her house after the sun went down. She lived in a secluded mansion that wasn't far from the lake. Avoiding the security cameras wasn't hard, but finding a way in without being noticed, sure was. I flew around the house in my glitchen form, and peeked through several windows. Every one I looked in only led to an empty room, so I finally just teleported inside. I snuck around in the darkness of the house, not wanting to wake anyone up. If this is Amber's girlfriend, then she must be around her age, which means I can't risk waking her parents. Unfortunately, I never even got out of the living room before something started glowing behind me. A bright orange light beamed from the other side of the room, and I quickly transformed back to my human form. "Now who do we have here?" I heard. I spun around to see who it was, and was stunned to see a different girl. She was dressed almost exactly like Shock Wave, except her hood was a dusty orange color to match her stick. The weapon she held was a long orange pole that was sharp at both ends, but unlike Shock Waves, hers had a handle in the middle, and gave off a menacing glow. "You broke into the wrong house." She snarled. Then she jabbed out her staff, and it caught fire. She swung it in a circle around her head, and the orange parts of the stick loosened to act like a whip. I panicked and jumped up as she tried to whip me with fire. "Wait! I'm a superhero! My name is Cyber! I'm only here to meet Shock Wave in person!" I shrieked. The girl didn't even have to aim it. Her staff extended and tied around me all by itself. I squeaked as it squeezed me tighter and tighter. The girl marched up to me as I wiggled in her grasp. "You break into my girlfriend's home, uninvited, and claim that you mean no harm? Forgive me if I don't believe you." She snapped. "You want proof? I could teleport out of this right now and beat you down in an instant if I wanted to, but I'm not a bad person. Please, just let me go." I begged. She didn't respond. She only glared into my soul until the lights turned on.

"That's enough, Solar. I looked her up. She's legit." Another girl walked out of the hall. Solar huffed in my face and let me go. Then she retreated to her girlfriend's side. I exhaled in relief. "Hi! I'm Ember. I'm sorry I haven't been in contact. I've been working some things out." She smiled politely. I glanced over at Solar and raised an eyebrow. "Wait... Amber?" I asked. She lifted her staff immediately, and I put my hands up. "It's me! It's Zephyr!" I exclaimed. Her eyebrows shot up and she dropped her head. "Seriously?! Ugh! Now I'm gonna have to tell everyone!" She groaned. "I told you it wouldn't be a secret for very long." Ember shrugged. "Hold on! Ok, so you're Shock Wave, and you're...?" I raised an eyebrow. Amber sighed. "They call me Solar Flare." She shrugged. I blinked a few times and slowly took off my mask. "What the hell is going on here?" I asked. "Well, I met Amber in Tennessee when I was living there, and we started dating. Then we came across these powers and became superheroes, and then whenever Am got moved to a different home, I'd follow her. My parents have a house in every state and frankly don't give a damn where I am, so it's been easy to hide." Ember explained. I squinted in confusion and Amber stepped forward. "It's a lot to explain, Zephyr. All that really matters is that we're here now, and we're on your side. I promise I will explain everything, but not today." She said. I sighed and looked down. "Ok, but you need to tell them soon. Also, how did you even know I was here?" I asked. "Ha! That's gonna take even longer to explain. Let's just say... a ghost told me." Ember replied.

Amber's POV
Once Zephyr found out, I didn't have a choice. I couldn't risk her telling the others about Ember and I, so I had to tell them immediately. So the next day, I invited Ember over to meet my new family. "Amber and Ember. That's cute." Apollo smiled. "And kinda weird." Santana noted. "So you're a superhero? I have to admit, that lightning bolt was amazing!" Kara said. "Thank you. I'm happy I could help." Ember replied. "So I actually have something else to tell you all. I didn't want to tell you so soon, but now I kind of have to." I admitted. Ember put her hand on my shoulder and the others got confused. "Ember and I are both superheroes. My name is Solar Flare, and together, we wield the Chrajx." I explained. "The huh?" Santana asked. "The weapons that Am and I use? They're called the Chrajx and they give us our powers. Amber has fire magic, and I have electricity, but it's more than that. Together, we are the living idea of time travel. That's why I can open a portal to anywhere in the universe, and Amber can control time." Ember explained. I just nodded along with her. The others remained silent for a moment. "What?" Santana asked. "I thought time travel wasn't possible." Apollo said. "It's not. The gods barred it from ever being bestowed upon a mortal, but! Every few generations, two human holders are chosen to wield the power, so that they can better the world with it." Ember explained. I looked down. "Time is not something to be messed with, and only those who truly understand that can be granted this power... and I do." I explained. Aurelia walked to me and put her hands on my shoulders. "Thank you for telling us the truth. We don't care who you are or what powers you have. I can only imagine how heavy this is on you, but we're happy to help you however we can." She assured me. I smiled up at her. "You're already helping me." I replied.
