Kat's POV
Knowing two versions of all my friends was something that I had to learn how to deal with fast. Of course my dad chose me to live here with him, because I look the most like Charlie, and I assume that dad did the same with Lizz. She comes over here sometimes, but I am the main portal user. So much so, that it's my job to make sure everyone's portals are working in case of an emergency. "Thanks for the help, Kat! You need a ride home?" Retro asked. The Arrows on this Earth are a little too nice. I once got stuck with them for four hours because they wanted to thank me. "No! I mean... no thanks. I'll walk. I'm sure Kara is fucking this worlds version of my sister, and I'd like to postpone walking in on that for as long as possible. Bye!" I booked it before she offered me to stay. I try not to get too attached to anyone here. After all, it's not my main Earth and I don't plan on living here forever. That being said, I am trying to find a partner here, because then I'd have an excuse to come back. And anyways, I couldn't stay with The Arrows if I wanted to. I promised Lizz I would go dress shopping with Santana, and be her guard against all the guys that want her at homecoming.

As I was walking home, I heard something behind me. The familiar sound of an animal's paws following me. For the past few weeks, these two dog mutants have been stalking me. One boy and one girl. I don't know who they are or what they want, but like I told Lizz, I'm down to play their game. There's no way they're powerful enough to hold me hostage, and if anything, maybe I could spin the situation to marry one of them before I get slaughtered. I stopped at an intersection and waited for the light to turn red so I could cross. I heard the paws slowly getting closer behind me. No one was around. Walking places isn't common on this Earth unless you want to get stabbed, so it's usually a very fast way to travel for me. I sighed as I heard the person transform back behind me. "You know, you've been following me for a while now. Why don't you just hurry up and bag me or something? I mean seriously, it's getting old." I groaned. They put their hands on my shoulders and I looked over. The girl was on my right and the boy was on my left. "Ooh, both of you this time, huh? Lucky me." I rolled my eyes. A car pulled up beside us and the backdoor opened. "Oh, so it's a lazy kidnapping. Gotcha." I smiled. "Shut the fuck up. Are we really taking this one?" The girl snapped as she grabbed my hands and tied them behind my back. "You heard what the boss said, Casey. Let's just tie her up and get out of here!" The boy groaned. Casey shoved me into the back seat and then got in beside me. The boy went around to the other side of me. I just started laughing as the car took off. "Oh boy! You all picked the wrong girl to capture." I laughed, and crossed one leg over the other. Casey growled in annoyance and I smirked.

They brought me into this dark room and tied my hands to the back of this chair. I looked around with my night vision powers. "Nice place. I see you don't dust very often, though I can't blame you. It's the most boring of all chores, I think." I admitted. "Shut up! Oh my god! I hate her!" Casey snapped. "Stop yelling! She'll be here soon!" The boy snapped back. "Shut up Cory!" Casey spat. "You work for a woman? Hell yeah! Gotta love women in power!" I giggled. Casey took a deep, annoyed, breath and exhaled deeply. "Don't let her get under your fur, Case. You're too easy to anger." I heard. I looked forward to where the voice came from, as she slowly stepped into the light. I smirked at the girl who was around my age. Casey and Cory seemed only a little bit older than her, but they cowered immediately when they saw her. I could see why too. If I wasn't willing to bet my life that she was a human, I'd probably be scared too. Instead, I took a more forward approach. "Whoo! Hello mommy." I smirked. She huffed a laugh at me, and then returned her focus to her lackeys. "You can go. Thank you for your help." She said. "You're welcome, boss. See you at home." Cory nodded and the two left.

"I'm sorry if they gave you a hard time. They're... not the easiest to deal with." She told me. "Hard time? Bitch, I gave them a hard time. Anyway, what kind of teen gang are you running here? And am I a suspect or a recruit? Cause I have to admit, I've had both happen before." I chuckled. She smiled softly. "There's no gang here." She said, simply. "Oh I'm sorry. Would you prefer, junior mafia? Some of them get angry when I use the wrong phrasing, even though it's practically all the same." I groaned. She raised an eyebrow and mine shot up. "Oh, seriously? You're in the mafia?" I asked. "My name is Quinn, and yes, I'm a junior member. And actually, you're here because I need your help." She explained. "Wow. That's a new one. Let me guess you're like the heir or something? I love these kinds of books." I smiled. "Ew. I don't need that kind of help... sick freak. No! You see, I need help making a good appearance with my family, and we chose you because you're attractive and I know my family will only approve if I show up with someone like you on my arm." Quinn explained. "Thank you... I think." I replied. "You're welcome. I'm willing to pay you to help me, because honestly, this whole thing seems stupid to me! But Father wants me to kidnap my girlfriend, so I'm doing as he wishes. All you have to do is put on a dress and come with me to a few 'business' dinner parties. And in return, I'll give you... what do you want? Ten thousand dollars?" She offered. My eyebrows shot up. This is literally perfect. "Forget the money. I have a better idea. I'll do this for you. I'll even put on the act like we've been together for years! As long as you do something for me." I smirked. She raised an eyebrow. "What do you need from me?" She asked. "Just a favor. A favor at a time of my choosing where you can't say no." I explained. Quinn squinted at me. "I won't turn myself or my family into the cops." She snapped. "Who said anything about that?! No cops involved. Just a favor. We have a deal?" I asked. She stared at me in thought for a moment. "It's a deal." She agreed. "Fantastic!" I snapped out of the ropes and stood up. "I'm Kat, and no. That's not short for Katherine or anything else." I held out my hand. She looked up at me in awe. I towered over her and it made her gulp. "Nice to meet you." She mumbled as she shook my hand.

Quinn showed me around her apartment that she shares with Casey and Cory. "So how come you don't have your lackeys be your date?" I asked. "My father employs them. He'll know immediately." Quinn chuckled. "And I was what? The first attractive girl you saw on the street?" I asked. Quinn glanced over at me. "Yes." She nodded. I giggled. "Gee, I feel special." I rolled my eyes. "So you're super human? Why didn't you break out earlier?" Quinn asked. "I'm an alien. Not super human. And I enjoy seeing where people like you are gonna take me. It's not like any of you have ever managed to hurt me before." I laughed in her face. She rolled her eyes and punched me in the shoulder. "Ah! Hey!" I snapped. "There. Hurt ya." She smiled. I stared at her for a moment and then laughed. "Pfft- ok ok. Fine. Are you buying me a dress or what?" I asked. "Of course. Right this way. Oh and... thank you, Kat. Really, thank you." Quinn sighed in relief. "Thank you, Quinn. You have no idea how much you're going to help me." I smirked.
