Anything You Ask

Zephyr's POV
As we approached the matrix, Arc flew up to us. "Dad! Are the adults with you?" I asked. "Yes. What happened?" He asked, confused. "That doesn't matter. What's the plan?" I asked. "Firewall sent me to ask you the same question." He replied. I took a deep breath and nodded. "The defense systems are down, and all our regular employees are still inside. Have the adult Arrows get to the matrix and turn on the defenses. Weather Vane, Lightning, Accelerator, you, and Firewall, need to go protect the people inside and figure out how to evacuate them safely. Paws, Zill, and Aethra are the only ones with the power to help us here. We'll handle the dinotrons with their help, and I will take down Gypsy." I explained. Arc was hesitant to agree. "Are you sure?" He asked. I nodded. "Let me do this." I said. He sighed and nodded. "Good luck, Cyber." He changed to his glitch form, and flew away.

There are four dinotrons attacking the matrix. "Arrows, use your magic arrows and take that one. Talon, Hurricane, and Spark Hound, there. Sonar, Red Rover, and Router. You three take the one in the back. The adults will handle the fourth one." I ordered. "Cyber, even with our magic arrows, we won't make a dent!" Retro exclaimed. "Your parents have done it before! So can you! If you shoot them in a specific order, it'll disintegrate on the spot. Find the order. You can do this!" I replied. She sighed heavily and took off with her team. When everyone started fighting, I transformed into my glitchen form, and flew to the warehouse that Gypsy had gotten the dinotrons from.

I changed back as I landed in the yard with the dormant robots. "Come on out, feathers. I know you're here." I snarled. There were footsteps around me. Small, like a dog's. I figured she was just in her animal form, but it wasn't her at all. "Zephyr! Down here!" Someone whispered. I glanced over and raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Foxy? Er- Peyton? What are you doing here?" I bent down to him. He was in his fox form, ducked down behind a dinotron. "We wanted to help you, and also kinda get back in our dad's good graces." He replied. I smiled. "Thanks. What have you found out?" I asked. "Gypsy is in there waiting for you. As far as she's concerned, this is all some game to win you back. April and Lucas are guarding the exit, ready to grab her in case she runs. I was just scouting for you." He explained. "Ok. Thank you, Peyton. If this goes well, I'd hope to see you three in matrix uniforms soon." I smiled. He chuckled. "We'd love to. Good luck." He said.

There was an open window near the top of the wall, and when I flew in, Gypsy was sitting at her desk. I transformed back to my human form before I walked to her. "I knew you'd come yourself. You're all for sending lackeys until it affects you personally." She said. "You're one to talk." I replied. Gypsy turned to me, in her costume, and smiled. "I didn't say it earlier, but I love this look. The design and the colors. Good job, babe." She said. "Are you really going to sit there and talk to me all normal, like you aren't hurting everyone and everything I love right now?!" I snapped. "Hey. You wanted a villain, and I'd do anything for you, so I just gave you what you asked for." She shrugged and stood up. Her tail wagged behind her and her ears pointed straight up. "You think this is what I want? No! What I want is for everything to go back to normal! I told you to leave because I can't stand to look at your face right now, without doing this!" I screamed and punched her across the face. Gypsy rubbed her jaw and looked back over at me. "You really want a fight, baby?" She asked. I furrowed my brow and she sighed. "If that's what you want. Sorry if this hurts." She punched me in the gut and lifted her leg to kick me, but I quickly transformed. Her foot went straight through me, and I flew up above her. Gypsy took flight and tried to grab me, but I evaded her. Then I gave my human form wings, and transformed back. "You're a psycho if you think anyone wants this!" I snapped. The wings didn't last long as I realized I didn't know how to fly. I tumbled out of the air and landed on my hands and knees. "Wings aren't for everyone, babe. I could teach you if you want." Gypsy offered. She landed in front of me. "Are you serious?!" I yelled. I bounded off the floor, and tackled her down. We flipped over and rolled across the ground, until Gypsy's back hit the wall and I pinned her there. "All I want is for you to stop all this madness and be my normal girlfriend again!" I whined. Gypsy smiled at me. "Ok." She replied. "What?!" I shrieked. "I can turn everything off right now." She nodded. I dropped my arms and tilted my head in confusion. "Gypsy... do you even understand what you've done? Do you even get why I'm upset with you?" I asked. Her eyes softened. "I hurt your family." She answered. I shook my head. "It's more than that, Gypsy! You think that what you've done, that what you're doing, is right! You don't have any remorse whatsoever!" I yelled. Her ears drooped down. "I just... wanted you to be happy." She told me. I took a deep breath and sighed. "And what if it was your mom? If your mother, or your uncle, were in the matrix right now, how would you feel then?" I asked. She looked aside, sadly. "Exactly. So here's what we'll do. You're going to stop all of this, and I'm going to pardon you, but you will then be on my leash. Everything you do will be run by me first. Got it?" I snapped. She nodded. "Ok Zephyr. I'm sorry." She said. I huffed and stood up. "Shut it down." I ordered.

Gypsy went to her desk and hit the big red button beside her mouse. When nothing happened, she pressed it again, and again, but nothing happened. "Um... shit." She whispered. "What did you do?" I asked. "Well... I kinda made those dinotrons last minute, and they may not have actually connected to my program! So uh... I can't turn them off." She smiled nervously. My eyes widened. "What?!" I shouted. "Wait! We can still disable them! Just not from here. We'd need a program that's close enough to the dinotrons so they can connect. Do you think you can run that in the matrix?" She asked. "This isn't a trick, is it?" I raised an eyebrow. "I think I'm out of tricks now, so... no." She replied. I rolled my eyes and transformed. I flew back to the matrix and she followed behind me.
