Connor's POV
Retro and Dylan had been freaking out for days. We had searched the city at least a hundred times by now, and when Cleo came back with her information, it only made things worse. "We can't just sit back and do nothing! We have to find her!" Retro snapped. "You of all people should know to trust the Fate's word. We have to wait!" Dylan shouted. They had been going at it like this for hours now. "The Fates that sent their messages through someone who doesn't even believe in them?! I know they have their ways, but I'm starting to question their ideas." Retro groaned. Dylan sighed and dropped her head. "Well that's hurtful." We heard. Cal stood in the corner of the room with her arms crossed. "What the- why do you do that?!" Retro snapped. "To fuck with you. Although, I guess I do owe you an apology. I should have told you myself about Riley, but Alex has a thing for your dog friend and she's playing the long game." Cal explained. Retro raised an eyebrow. "So why are you here now?" She asked. "To warn you! Duh! Kinda my job." Cal chuckled and Retro sighed heavily. "What now?" She groaned. Cal hummed in amusement. "You will receive a call from another Earth in the upcoming year. It is very important that you answer it and go to their aid. As for the trouble here, it's only now growing its power. Your parents will be in danger, and the only way you will be able to save them is if you can channel the strength that they once did, years before you were born." Cal explained. Retro stared at her like she was insane. "Is that all?" She asked, sarcastically. "Oh Hades, no! Ha! 'Is that all?' Oh gods- you are hilarious, cousin! That's just the upcoming. Things will get worse later." Cal laughed in her face and Retro frowned. "Don't make that face. I told you there would be consequences. Besides, you wanted insurance, didn't you?" Cal raised an eyebrow, and Retro sighed. "Fine. What do we do now?" She asked. "Go back to school! Time will bring the problem to you. That's how life works, Retro. Bye!" Cal opened a portal, and jumped backwards into it. As it closed, Retro groaned aloud. "I hate her. Ok! You heard the goddess. Let's go back to normal... or at least try." She shrugged.

I have never been one to question the Fates. So following Cal's advice wasn't hard for me. I figure that if I just do what they say, I have less of a chance of being sniped by some random god. Besides, I had other things on my mind. "That's an awful idea. What if she says no? You know she gets like ten thousand proposals in a day, right? What makes yours so different?" Max crossed his arms, and scolded me at my locker. "Well, for starters, I'm not asking Santana out because I want to get in her pants. I'm asking her out because I really like her! I want to be with her. Is that so crazy?" I asked. "When it's Santana Lascano? Yes. It is." Max nodded. "Oh come on! You're dating Blaire, and she's her best friend! Surely you could ask if she likes me." I smiled, hopefully. "Ha! If you think Blaire is going to help you then you are sorely mistaken, but fine. I'll back up your insane plan to ask out the school's biggest bitch." He huffed. I rolled my eyes. "Thanks." I snapped. "And I'm going to record your failure, so that I can use it as a reminder that I told you so." He smirked. "Mhm. We'll see about that." I replied.

Santana's POV
Cleo, Blaire, and I ate lunch together everyday. "Why do you still pack a lunch?" Blaire asked Cleo. "Because it's worth your judgy stares as long as I don't have to eat that prison slop that they serve you guys." She responded. "Its just pizza, Cleo." I huffed. "It's cardboard with cheese." Cleo reached over to Blaire's plate, picked up the slice of pizza, and tapped it against the table. We watched as it made a thud, and Blaire frowned. "Fair enough. So did you guys hear what's up with Kat?" I asked. "Yes! Lizz told me. I didn't think it was possible to give yourself Stockholm syndrome, but Kat is always full of surprises." Blaire laughed, and I giggled with her. "If it keeps her from death, can you really blame her?" Cleo asked. "You're right. That's why I haven't said anything about Kara marrying Lizz. Even though I'm not really thrilled about the idea." I admitted. "Speaking of marriage, when are you jumping in the dating pool, Satan?" Blaire asked. "What? How is that relevant?" I asked. "Just saying! You have several suitors lined up!" She shrugged. I rolled my eyes. "Yes I'm aware. Hunter won't leave me alone. I'm not really looking at relationships right now, Blaire. There are bigger things on my mind." I snapped. She sighed and Cleo huffed a laugh. "You're gonna break his heart then. I overheard Connor and Max this morning. The Blue Arrow is smitten for you." She told me. "What?! Connor?!" I shrieked. My face grew warm and the girls laughed. "Did he actually say that?" I asked. Cleo nodded and I shrunk in my seat. "Oh shit." I mumbled.

When I got home, I knew I needed help. "Mom! Mom, are you home?" I yelled across the house. "Yeah! I'm leaving in a second though. What's up, Santana?" Aurelia came around the corner in her uniform. "Well, there's this boy at school that likes me, and I might like him, but I'm not sure. How exactly did you know when you liked mom?" I asked. Aurelia just stared at me like I spoke in a foreign language. "A boy? You're asking me? Ok! I never thought this would happen, uh..." She thought for a moment. "Honestly... I didn't really like your mom. I just needed a reason to get out of my horrible household. She and the boys were so happy together, and I wanted to be a part of something like that. I only really started liking Heather when I started to understand that she wasn't just some idiot from the moon. She had so much more depth than I could have ever expected, and when I met that version of her... I knew that I loved her." She explained. I smiled at her as the door opened. "Ugh! I need a nap!" Apollo walked in and stopped when she saw us. "Hey! I caught you!" She ran up to mom and kissed her. "Yes you did. I'll see you tonight, babe. I love you." Aurelia kissed her again and left. "I love you too!" Apollo waved as she left. Then she turned to me. "So what were you guys talking about?" She asked. I hesitated, but then decided to just go for it. "I was wondering why you fell in love with mom." I said. Apollo blushed and laughed nervously. "I uh... well she... the way she acted and... she's really..." Her face only got redder as she thought about it. "Mom, are you ok?" I laughed. She took a deep breath. "Yes! I just... I'm struggling to find the words. Ok. Aura was the first person to treat me like a normal person. She didn't care who I was or where I was from. In fact, I think she hated me for a little while. But, I fell in love with her from the moment she told me why she calls me Heather. Aura has never been afraid to tell me when I was wrong, and correct me so that I don't make the same mistakes. That's why I love her... that and, she's so hot." Mom explained. My smile dropped as soon as she said that. "Ew. Don't tell me that." I huffed. "Sorry, but it's the truth!" She shrugged. I gagged and walked away.

"Did you really think that would help?" Kara asked. I had just walked by her room, and she stopped me. "I was hoping." I admitted. "Santana, you are so far screwed up that the only way you will know if you like Connor, is if you give it a try." She said. My eyebrows shot up. "How did you know?!" I shrieked. She laughed a little. "Come on Santana. We don't talk much, but I still keep tabs on you, and I'm not stupid. I see the way you are with him. I think it would be good for you to spend more time with him. He's a good guy." Kara admitted. I smiled softly. "Thanks Kara." I replied.

The next day at school, I was sitting with the girls in the courtyard when Blaire just started giggling. "He's coming!" She sang. Cleo laughed. "I'll leave you to it. I have some 'gods' to talk to." She walked away. "And I'm gonna go stop Max from filming you." Blaire ran over to her boyfriend. They left me alone on the bench while Connor was fast approaching. I took a deep breath as he walked up in front of me. "Hey Santana." He greeted me. I glanced up at him. "Hi Connor." I smiled. "So, I'm sorry to bother you, and I really hope you won't be mad at me for this, but I have a question." He said. I stood up to face him. "I know you do." I replied. He gulped nervously. "Of course you do! Well uh..." He pulled a rose from behind his back. "Would you go out on a date with me?" He asked. I giggled as I watched his hand shake. "Where did you get that?" I asked, taking it from him. "There's a rose bush in our Arrows parking lot. It scratches my dads car all the time." He explained. I chuckled as I admired the rose. "So... will you?" Connor asked again. I glanced back up at him and smiled. "Yes. I'd love to go out with you." I agreed. He smiled and exhaled in relief. I laughed at him. "Breathe please! I can't have my human dying so soon. It's my first time taking care of one." I joked. He rolled his eyes and laughed. "Here. Sit with me." I invited him to sit down and we did. "You know Max and Blaire will be up our asses now, right?" I asked. Connor shrugged. "Not for long. After all, we're so much better than them." He smirked. I nodded. "That we are." I agreed.
