Kat's POV
Quinn's dad was fine, though he seemed to think this whole thing was my fault for some reason. Then Quinn came with me to Earth thirty one so we could talk about the marriage. Lizz and Kara came too, and we met our dads in the training field. Zed was not happy to see Quinn again, but he took a deep breath and pushed through it. "Ok girls. Here's how this works. Obviously, you still have some time before your birthday, but! The king always sends someone to check on your progress a little before the big day. If they see that you're married now, when they come to check, then they won't have to come back again, and you'll be safe." Charlie explained. "So you want us to do it today?" Lizz asked, and he nodded. "Since Zed was once the head of the guard, he has the power to marry you." Charlie told us. Then Zed stepped forward. "This is a little different in these forms, but hopefully this will work. Face each other, and take one another's hands." He instructed. I took Quinn's hands and Lizz took Kara's. Zed did something to Lizz and Kara's hands, and then came to do it to us. He created a wide piece of ribbon that was glowing white, and wrapped it around our hands. Quinn flinched when it touched her. "Are you ok?" I asked. "It feels strange. Can't you feel it?" She asked, and I shook my head. "I feel it, Quinn." Kara looked over, and I looked back at her. "It's... tingly." She explained. "Ok, how did this go? Uh-" Zed took a deep breath, and we faced our partners again. "With these sacred ties, a bond shall be formed. Two partners unite on this day, free from all judgement. May their life together be long and fulfilling, or may it end of their own accord. So now it is my honor to bestow marriage upon you, and have your love seal the ties on your... hands." He casted the spell. Lizz and Kara smiled at each other the whole time, while Quinn and I just stared at each other awkwardly. When Zed finished, the cloth around our hands floated up above us, and started glowing. It shined for a moment, and then dropped down back into our hands. "Hold onto those. You'll need it to break the spell after this is over." Zed said. "Thank you, dad." Lizz smiled. Kara kissed her cheek and she laughed. Quinn and I looked back at each other and quickly pulled our hands away from one another.

"Dad. When will they come down to check?" I asked. "It should be sometime this week. You and Quinn can stay in your room in the basement, but you definitely can't leave until they come." Charlie explained. I nodded. "Ok." I turned around and he grabbed my shoulder. I raised an eyebrow at him. "Are you ok?" He asked. I glanced over at Quinn, and then looked back at him. "When this is over, I'm staying here. I can't do it anymore, dad. Please don't tell Zed yet." I pleaded. Charlie was stunned. "Ok... yeah, ok. I won't say anything." He nodded, and I walked away.

Lizz and Kara locked themselves in their room when we got home, and everyone knew why. Quinn laid down in my room, since the portals still hurt her stomach. I sat out on the front porch, staring at the ground. When the door opened, I thought it was my dad, but it wasn't. "Hey. Looks like we're finally related!" Santana sat down beside me. I smiled softly at her. "Lizz said you weren't looking too good, but she was busy. So I figured I'd check on you." She smiled. I took a deep breath and wiped my hands down my face. "I failed, Santana." I admitted. She raised an eyebrow at me. "I used to come here and tell you to stop screwing around with your life. To make something of yourself! To not be so fake! And what the hell have I done? I cheated the system. I lied and played tricks, and put countless people in danger, just to marry someone that doesn't care about me. I'm married now... and yet I've never felt worse about myself." I explained. Santana stared at me for a moment, and then sighed. "No one can blame you for that, Kat. You've been spiraling for a while, and I should have said something, but there was nothing we could really do. You were panicking! It was marriage or death! So you did whatever it took to stay alive. We all understand that. Quinn understands that. No one's mad at you." She patted my shoulder, and I flinched. "I'm mad at me, Santana!" I shouted, and stood up. She was taken back. "All of this was supposed to be fake! My plan was supposed to work! I'd divorce Quinn and go back to my normal life as a world switcher! But now everything has failed me! I'm not going back to Earth thirty two! I'm staying here! I can't handle the stress anymore." I whined. Santana stood up to face me. "You are? Kat, that's great!" She smiled. My eyes started to water. "No! No it's not. My dad is gonna be so upset! And then I'll never get to see Quinn again, and I don't even know how she'll react." I started to cry. Santana hugged me and I cried into her shoulder. "Kat, I'm gonna ask you something, and you have to answer me honestly... are you in love with Quinn?" She whispered. I took in a sharp breath and exhaled in a shudder. "That's the other thing I failed. It was meant to be an act... what have I done?" I cried. Santana ran her hand up and down my back. "It's ok. It's gonna be ok. I promise. Let's go inside." She wiped my tears and led me inside.

Lizz's POV
Kara shapeshifted into a ferret and curled up beside me in bed. "I love you Kara. Thank you for saving me." I said. She could only respond in squeaks, but I could understand it perfectly. "I love you too, Lizz." She replied. We laid together for a while before something started eating away at my mind. "Do you think Kat is ok?" I asked. Kara lifted her head and looked over at the wall. "What are you looking at?" I asked. "Santana's room. Listen closely." She replied. I looked over and closed my eyes. Then I focused in on the sounds around me, and everything started coming into my ears. Specifically, the sound of Kat sniffling and Santana's voice. I tuned back out and looked at Kara. "Should I talk to her?" I asked. "Santana has it covered. If you're gonna talk to anyone, talk to Quinn." She replied.

Kara and I walked down to Kat's room, and knocked on the door. "Come in!" Quinn yelled. We walked in and she waved at us. She was sitting on the side of the bed, on her phone. "What are you doing?" I asked. "Trying to figure out how to cure nausea." She replied. I waved my hand over her and she looked up at me stunned. "Uh... thanks?" She raised an eyebrow. "We wanted to talk to you. Do you mind?" Kara asked. "I guess not. You gonna scold me like your dad?" Quinn asked. "Huh? No. I don't care who you are. I care about my sister though, and she's really upset." I said. "What?! Why?" Quinn exclaimed. "My guess? She likes you, but feels bad for dragging you into this." I shrugged. "I think that she thinks that you don't like her back." Kara added. Quinn stood up confused. "And you think I do?" She asked. Kara smirked. "Oh you really do." She replied. "We just met! What are you talking about?!" Quinn shrieked. "We can read minds." I explained. Quinn froze for a second. "Please don't read my mind without my consent." She said. "You like Kat, don't you?" Kara asked. Quinn rolled her eyes. "What kind of question is that? Of course I do! She's probably the most fantastic woman I've ever met, and I'm not just saying that because her freaky twin is here." She pointed at me. "You gotta tell her that, Quinn." I said. "I can't! If you haven't realized, her life is here with you guys. As a superhero, nonetheless! I'm a mafia member. A criminal! And I'm from a whole other world!" She explained. "But Kat lives there." I said. Quinn raised an eyebrow. "You don't know her at all, do you? She doesn't want to be there. I can see the stress she holds, and I can see how happy she is when she's with you all. She belongs here, and it's only a matter of time before she stays here forever." Quinn explained. I was taken back by her words, and had to stop to think. "Regardless of that, you have to tell her how you feel! After all, she is your wife now." Kara smirked. Quinn groaned and looked away. "We'll see." She shrugged.
