Kat's POV
I leaned on Quinn's shoulder and panted for breath. "Woah! Are you ok?" She stood up to look me in the eyes. "So, your bodyguard is actually the sworn enemy to my alien species, and now she's trying to kill me!" I explained in a panic. Sash flew over the walls of the garden and crashed down behind us. My eyes widened in horror and I looked back at her in a panic. "Come back here, rodent." She snarled. Everyone looked over, stunned. Quinn grabbed her gun and stepped in front of me. "Quit it, Sash. You will not hurt my girlfriend." She spat. "Oh cut the shit, Quinn! We both know the truth about that girl, and we both know that you don't have the balls to shoot me! You're not strong enough." Sash snarled. Quinn didn't miss a beat, and shot her immediately. The bullet went straight through her waist, but Sash didn't budge. The wound just healed right over, and the bullet dropped into the yard. "Well I'll be damned. You were strong enough. Too bad it's for nothing." Sash jumped at her, and Quinn grabbed her by the tail. She swung her down into the ground, then grabbed my hand, and pulled me away.

She dragged me back inside, and towards the front door. Sash crashed through the back window. "Javier! That bitch is trying to hurt your child! She must be executed!" She yelled. "What?!" Quinn and I shrieked. "Father she's wrong!" Quinn yelled. Javier wasn't listening though. He couldn't, because Sash had him under her control. "She must be running out of power. She's weak, Quinn. That's why she's not killing us herself." I whispered. Javier raised his gun at me and all of his friends followed, waiting for his command. "Father, fight it! I know you're stronger than that!" Quinn snapped. She stepped in front of me again. "Quinn, we need to go. Now." I warned her. "Yeah Quinn. She needs to go." Sash smirked. Quinn's eyes started to glow for a second, and she shook her head in pain. "Fight it, Quinn. You don't have to listen to her!" I exclaimed. Quinn groaned in pain, but she pushed through. "That's enough!" She stood up straight again and my eyebrows shot up. "Let them go!" She ordered. "Careful what you wish for." Sash crossed her arms, and everyone in the room fired their guns. I immediately snapped into my super suit, shoved Quinn to the ground, and protected her with my cape. "You're a super hero?!" She exclaimed. "Time to go." I scooped her up, and flew out the front door.

I brought her to a random rooftop. "Are you insane?! You could have died! I'm bulletproof!" I yelled. "How was I supposed to know that?! I was trying to protect you! I got you into this, and I wasn't gonna let you die for me!" Quinn shouted. "And what now? Do you know what will happen if you go back home now? You'll be murdered! You just ruined your life for me!" I snapped. "My life was already ruined. You had nothing to do with it. God, you're a fucking superhero?! Of course you are! Who even are you?!" She exclaimed. I sighed. "My name is Radar, and I'm not from this universe. I was born on a different Earth in a different universe, and I just live here to make my dad happy. I know that doesn't make sense to you. It never makes sense to humans... but it's true." I explained. Quinn just stared at me for a second, and took a deep breath. "What is Sash?" She asked. "She's a Madex. A power drainer. An alien that literally feeds on magic. That's how they get their power. They have to feed every so often to keep their strength. That's how I knew she was weak. The only species that a Madex can't suck power from is the Tublos. My species. So they decided to kill us off. At least, that's how it is in this universe. Back home, they're just scared of us." I shrugged. "But you were powerless against her." Quinn said. I nodded. "Tublo magic doesn't work on Madex's." I replied. "Ok... ok." She looked down, trying to understand. "Why can't I go home? She's probably used all of her magic by now." Quinn said. "You think she can't get more? Magic flows through the air here! It's why so many aliens like coming to Earth! That, and you humans are so stupid." I laughed. She rolled her eyes. "Where am I supposed to go then?" She asked. I thought for a moment, and then smiled. "You ready to pay up?" I asked. "You're cashing in your favor now?" She raised an eyebrow. "Yep! Come with me back to Earth thirty one." I held out my hand. "Is that the favor?" She asked. "No. It's just part of it, but you don't have any other options." I smirked. She took a deep breath and took my hand. "Kay. Take me to your Earth." She sighed.

We dropped through the portal and landed in the lab. "Holy fuck! I'm gonna throw up-" Quinn folded over and her knees wobbled. I huffed a laugh. "Dad! Zed! Charlie! Hello?!" I yelled. No one was home. So I walked upstairs and Quinn slugged behind me. "Apollo! Aurelia!" I yelled. They weren't here either. "Where's your sister?" Quinn asked. "At the homecoming dance. My dads should be here." I said, confused. "Call him." She suggested. I sighed and called Zed. He answered almost immediately. "Im not paying ransom." He said. "Dad! I'm here. Earth thirty one, and I brought the girl. Where are you?" I asked. "Oh! I'm at the matrix. There are dinotrons attacking and it's a big deal... I guess." He replied. "What? But they- nevermind. Just get over here." I spat. "I can't right now! Just do it yourself. I gotta go." He hung up. "You know my name." Quinn huffed. "Shut up. I'm in charge now." I snapped. I took a deep breath and stared at Quinn for a second. "I don't know if I should tell you the truth or not. I don't want to hurt you more than I already have." I admitted. "Kat, there's nothing you could say that would make today worse than it already is." Quinn replied. I sighed heavily. "Alright. If you say so. That favor that I need?" I said. Quinn raised an eyebrow. "I need you to marry me." I admitted.

She just stared at me for a second. "What?" She asked. "Tublo law states that all children have to get married by the year of their sixteenth birthday, or they will be executed. I only have a year! And when you kidnapped me, I thought it was the perfect chance!" I explained. Quinn blinked a few times. "Ok." She shrugged. "Wait what?" I asked. "I thought it would be worse than that. I mean, that's not ideal. I hardly know you. But! I feel like this could have ended a lot worse." She admitted. I laughed in relief. "You're really ok with this?" I asked. "On one condition. You're going to help me save my father from that power sucker." She said. "But my magic can't affect her." I replied. "I don't care. I don't even have magic! Look, I hate my father, but I don't want him in danger. Especially not with some teenage alien chick. So please. Help me save him, and I'll marry you." She held out her hand. I smiled. "Deal, and don't worry. We only have to be married for a few weeks. It's not forever." I assured her. "Good. The less I'm associated with superheroes, the better." She huffed.
