Zephyr's POV
Gypsy woke up. She woke up, and I was overjoyed. It was the only thing I had been wanting for months, but then the reality set in. I remembered everything she did to me and to the people I love, and suddenly I couldn't look at her. After the initial happiness, I told her I would get a nurse to help her, and I sent the nurse in, but I didn't go back. I've been walking around the matrix, aimlessly, for the last few hours. Somehow, I wandered into the board room, where Zane was organizing his files. "What are you doing?" I asked. He jumped at the sound of my voice and looked up stunned. "Why are you here? Is something wrong with Gypsy?" He asked. "No. She's awake." I shook my head. "That's fantastic! Why aren't you with her?" He walked over to me. "I was... but I can't seem to find the strength to go back in there. Just tell me what you're doing. I know you've been doing good in my absence." I smiled softly. "I just finished a meeting. We had to figure out whose team Kat was joining now that she's staying here. She joined Talon's team, which I'm sure will soon be known as Radar's team now." He huffed a laugh. "Kat lives here now? Did you do the paperwork for that?" I asked. "Yes I did." He replied. I nodded and kept my head down. "Good. That's good." I sighed. Zane raised an eyebrow. "Z, you need to go back and talk to her." He told me. I simply shook my head. "Zephyr come on. She tried to save you in the end! And she apologized! She was only doing it for you. You need to get over it and go be with her!" He snapped. I slowly looked up at him. "What if I can't get over it?" I whispered. He sighed. "Then you need to ask yourself what's more important to you. Being mad at what happened? Or being in love with her? I know the answer. Do you?" He asked. Then he picked up his files and walked out.
As I left the board room, I saw Techna rushing into the medical room. Her being here gives me more time to avoid Gypsy. Afterall, who would I be if I interrupted her and her mom? So I went upstairs and walked into Matrix Industries. I would have gone to the Matrix Technologies office, but I feel like Gabe isn't the dad I need to talk to right now. So I walked into Arc's office, and saw him playing with a rubik's cube. He only had one color completed, and seemed very confused on how he was supposed to fix the rest. I cleared my throat and he dropped it immediately. "Ah! Welcome in! Or uh- oh... hi Zephyr. I didn't see you there. What are you doing here?" He asked. "Gypsy is awake, and Techna is with her now." I explained. "Yeah I figured. I had to buzz her into the building." He replied. "I don't know what to do, dad. I was so happy when she woke up, but now all I can think about is what Gypsy did! And I don't know if I can forgive her." I admitted. Arc bent down to grab the cube. "So why'd you come to me?" He asked. "How did you forgive dad?" I asked. Arc shot back up and looked at me like I was insane. "He was so mean about Gypsy and I, and he disobeyed you so many times! I mean... how did you forgive him?" I asked. Arc just stared at me, star struck, for a moment, and then shook his head. "I love your father." He shrugged. Arc put the cube down and stood up. "I love him more than anything. We've been together forever, and there's nothing he could do that could make me hate him. I get mad, but everyone gets mad sometimes. There's nothing we can't talk out, or change, and he really is doing better. It's not how I forgave him as much as it is knowing that I could forgive him." Arc explained. I smiled softly and dropped my head. "How'd you know, though?" I asked. He shrugged again. "Like I said, I love him. That's the only knowledge that matters." He replied. I huffed a laugh and looked up. "He's in the camera, isn't he?" I asked. "Yes. He always is. Now go see your girlfriend." Arc smiled.
Techna looked over as I walked into the room. "Oh, I can come back." I backed away from the door. "No! No. She lives with me. You go ahead." Techna got up to step out. She patted my shoulder as she left. I looked back over at Gypsy. "You're back. I know you can teleport, but that was weird. You were so happy and then you just disappeared." She said. "Sorry. I got... nervous." I walked to the bed. The head was tilted up so she was facing me. "I know why you left, Z. I get it. You have to know how sorry I am." Gypsy sighed. I nodded. "I do... and I'm so so mad at you!" I groaned. She frowned and I sighed. "But I love you, and I can't hate you. So here are my conditions. You're going to be my assistant here, and we're going to fund the process of you rebuilding all of your mothers dinotrons to use for matrix security." I told her. "All of them?!" She shrieked, and I nodded. "Not alone. Remember those idiots that you recruited when you first started this? They're going to help you." I added. Her ears flopped down sadly. "I know. It's a fitting punishment, isn't it?" I smirked. "Yes. It is." She groaned. I smiled and took her hand in mine. "I forgive you, Gypsy. Thank you for trying to help us." I said. She smiled softly. "Thank you, Zephyr. I love you too." She replied. I squeezed her hand and leaned down to kiss her. She pulled away almost immediately. "When was the last time you brushed your teeth?" She asked. "You've been in a coma for two months. Your breath isn't any better. So shut the fuck up." I spat. "You could both use a mint." We heard. We looked at the door, and Gabe waved to us. "Hello girls. You can go home, Gypsy. You're all set. Also, just wanted to let you know that all is forgiven, and you have been pardoned. I'm also sorry for how I acted before, and that I'm glad to have you in our family." He explained. I smiled at him. "Thank you, sir." Gypsy replied. "Help her get ready, Z. You have work to catch up on." Gabe ordered, and I nodded.
