Back in Action

Lila's POV
Ella ran over to me and jumped on me. I laughed as she hugged me. "You did it! You saved us! You're a hero! You all are!" She cheered, and hugged Mia and Josh. "We couldn't just leave you to die." I smiled. "You've done it before! I didn't have high hopes." Ella chuckled. "Yeah well, you got better for us. It's about time we did it for you." I replied. "And don't worry about mom and dad. They're fine." Josh added. "I'm so proud of you guys. Thank you." Ella smiled. "Don't thank us yet. We still have to save everyone's parents, and Riley. So let's get back and start filling you all in." I explained. "Oh? Look at you taking charge. Alright, White Arrow. Lead the way!" Ella agreed.

"Is Ember ok?" I asked Amber. "Yeah. Just a little dizzy. How are you feeling?" She asked. "I'm fine. A lot of stress is lifted now that they're here. They're better at making plans and leading people." I chuckled and looked down. Amber raised an eyebrow. "You miss it already?" She asked. "What?! No! I just... I guess I liked feeling like I belonged." I shrugged. "Don't worry, Lila. You belong perfectly here. If you didn't, they'd still be trapped." She explained. I smiled at her. "Thanks, Amber." I replied. She nodded. "You have an admirer." Amber noted. I raised an eyebrow and she gestured to the side with her head. I looked over just as Zane turned away. My face grew red and Amber chuckled. "Go talk to him." She pushed my shoulder. "I can't! It's not that simple." I frowned. "You just saved him from a fish tank. It's pretty straight forward." She replied. I sighed heavily and slowly made my way over to him.

He walked over to Zephyr, who was talking with Peyton. "You guys held everything down and helped the heroes when you had no information! I couldn't be more proud of you all. Pay raises for all of you!" Zephyr cheered, and Peyton laughed with her. "But I have to ask. Did Gypsy show up?" She asked. Peyton's face fell. "Mmm... kinda." He smiled nervously. Zephyr raised an eyebrow. "She attacked us with a dinotron. She's under the spell." I explained. They all looked over at me. "You helped fight a dinotron?" Zane's jaw dropped. "That makes no sense. Gypsy should still have her memories intact, just like you." Zephyr said. "Well, why don't you go break her out and ask her yourself?" I suggested. "Yeah! This way! We had to lock her in the medical bay." Peyton led her away. Zane tried to follow them, but I grabbed his arm. "Hey! Can we talk for a second?" I asked. "Now's... not a good time, Lila." He kept his head down. "No use in waiting for a better time." I replied. He lifted his head and looked aside. Then he sighed. "Ok! What? What is it?" He asked. "Look, I know it's been a long time, but I've already apologized for what I did. You're the only person that hasn't forgiven me, and I don't think that's fair! And now I think that you owe me an apology." I crossed my arms. Zane squeezed his eyes shut. "Yes. I'm sorry I got so angry. I'm sorry I broke up with you. I'm sorry I was rude to Ella when she tried to fix it. I just didn't think you could change." He admitted. "Why won't you look at me?" I asked. He shook his head. "Because I care about you." Zane replied. I smiled softly and grabbed his chin to make him face me. "You're still so stupid." I giggled and kissed him. His face went red and he froze. "Come on. We need to check on Gypsy." I took his hand and pulled him away.

Peyton was standing outside the room, watching through the window. "What's happening?" I asked. He just pointed at the window and I looked over. Zephyr was struggling to keep Gypsy down long enough to kiss her. "Oh wow... you think they've done this before?" I asked. "Ew. That's my sister." Zane gagged. "Your sister is losing." Peyton replied. Gypsy slammed Zephyr up against the wall, and Zephyr quickly changed to her glitchen form. Then she slapped Gypsy into the side of the bed, and changed back so she could pin her there. When she kissed her, Gypsy just collapsed. "Ah! Guys! Help!" Zephyr caught her. We rushed in as she set Gypsy down on the bed. Gypsy groaned in pain and slapped her hand over her head. "Are you ok, babe?" Zephyr asked. Gypsy's eyes shot open and she jumped up. "Zephyr! You're here! You're ok!" She picked her up and spun her around. "Um- yeah? What happened to you? Can you remember?" Zephyr asked. "Yes! I remember everything! I woke up early on Saturday to meet you here before work, and then these two guys shot me out of the sky! They said something about 'missing one' and then the old one said that they could use me. They threw some sort of potion on me, and... that's all I remember actually." She explained. "It's alright. Thanks, Gypsy. You weren't originally affected by the spell. I bet they didn't know that could happen. This is good. That means they don't know about you guys." Zephyr gestured to me. "But what did he need Gypsy for?" I asked. "You said she attacked you guys?" Zephyr asked. I nodded and Gypsy's ears perked up. "A villain. He needed a villain. I remember him saying that. He said he needed someone to 'keep them in line.'" She used finger quotes. "Them?" I asked. "Someone else is awake." Zephyr realized. We all went silent. "But... why would Henry and David do that? Keep someone awake on purpose?" Zane asked. Zephyr shrugged. "We can't know until we start checking people off the list. Let's start rounding up the parents! Whoever's memories are still intact, is our target." She explained.

When we got back to Arrows HQ, Astro was waiting for us. "Mom?!" Retro ran over to her. "Hey! I knew you'd make it!" Astro smiled and hugged her. "How are you here?" Retro asked. "I have goddess blood. This stuff doesn't affect me. I was just hanging out at my sisters until Cal said I could come back." Astro shrugged. "Do you know where dad is? I could really use your help to fix him." Retro said. "I do, but I'm afraid I won't be much help. I can't really kiss him through the glass." Astro shrugged. "Huh?" Retro raised an eyebrow. "He's in prison." She explained. Retro's jaw dropped. "Ok! So Orange obviously isn't going first! Who else wants to find their parents?" Ella announced. "Bailey, Max, Connor, and Dylan. You four can go. The rest of us need to find Red and Gold. We still haven't pinpointed them, and Astro can go with Retro to try with Orange." I explained. Retro smiled at me. "Cool with me. You heard her, guys. Let's go!" Retro ordered, and they all left.
