Addison's POV
Almost immediately, the adult Arrows came back outside and joined us. "Mom! What's going on?" I asked. Green ran over to me and we ducked behind a car in the parking lot. "The defense system is down because the main generator has been destroyed. We can't turn it back on." She explained. "Then do you know how our arrows combine to destroy these things?" I asked. "Oh uh..." Before she could answer, a dinotron spotted us and lifted its foot to step on us. Mom grabbed my arm and dragged me out of the way, just in time. "It's not as simple as that, Addy. Your team is different from mine. You have different magic than we do. Your combination will be a lot different from ours, if you can find one that works at all! I wish I could help, but you're just gonna have to hope that whatever you do works. Now, we're going to try and destroy these things, but it's been a long time since we've done this. If Red and Gold don't remember the combinations, then only the gods can help us." She explained, and ran off. I took off running, trying to make it to Retro, but Zephyr and Gypsy flew in not long after. She stopped me. "Why aren't the defenses up?" Zephyr asked. "The generator was destroyed!" I replied. Zephyr glared at Gypsy. "I didn't tell them to do that!" She put her hands up. "We need to get it back up. Without it, the whole matrix is useless! Red, will you come with us for backup?" Zephyr asked. I just blinked at her. "Yeah! Sure." I shrugged. Zephyr led the way to the generator and we followed.
There was a metal panel on the ground that had been crushed inward. "You know, we put it in the ground so that it wouldn't get damaged. I'll have to fix that later too." Zephyr groaned as she tried to peel it open. Gypsy grabbed the latch from her hands and flapped her wings as hard as she could to pull the panel up. Eventually, it creaked open, and Zephyr and I pulled at the crack until it burst off its hinges. Gypsy was sent flying backwards and the panel landed on her. "Is she ok?" I asked. "She deserved that." Zephyr bent down to the generator and started messing with the broken wires. "You should help her." I said. "She'll be fine. We need to save the others." She responded. "Cyber, you can't treat her like this. Even if you pardon her, I can tell you're still mad. You'll end up ruining your relationship if you can't find a way to forgive her." I explained. "Ruin my relationship? Red, she did this." Zephyr gestured to the havoc behind us. "She did all of this! How could I ever truly forgive her?" She snapped. "I can't tell you how to do it, because I don't know. This whole situation sucks! But if you love her, and you want to stay with her, then you need to show her that. Especially now." I replied. Zephyr connected the wires as I spoke and Gypsy came back over. "All good!" She whined in pain. I was spooked when I looked up at her. Her nose was bleeding, but that wasn't the worst of it. One of her ears ripped and was gushing out blood by the second. "Oh my god!" I shrieked. Zephyr looked up for a second and did a double take. "Gypsy!" She rushed to her and wiped the blood from her face. "It's ok. I probably deserve this." Gypsy's voice trembled. "We need to get you inside. Red, hit the green button!" Zephyr ordered. I did what she said and a force field immediately grew around the building. "Come on. This way!" Zephyr led the way inside.
We ran down the stairs to the matrix. "Red, I need you to follow my instructions while I help Gyspy." She said. "No- no I'm fine! Get to the lab." Gypsy started to tip over and Zephyr caught her. "It's ok. You're gonna be ok. Let's go, Red!" Zephyr picked up her girlfriend and led me to the lab. She teleported away for a moment to grab some first aid, but came right back. She shoved Gypsy into a chair. "Turn on the table, and open the file labeled weapons connection." She instructed. As I did what she said, she took a wet towel and held it against Gypsy's ear. "Ok. It's open." I said. "Open the link with the same name, and then click 'add weapon.'" She ordered. Zephyr never even looked at me. She took Gypsy's hand and had her hold the towel against her ear, while Zephyr wiped the blood from her nose. Then she held a smaller towel against her nose and turned back to me. "Got it?" She asked. "Yeah! Now what?" I asked. "Now I need her to focus. Gypsy, listen. You need to put in the dinotrons codes, or we'll never stop them." Zephyr said. Gypsy slowly blinked at her and tried to stand, but couldn't. She just fell right back down. "Woah! Gypsy please! I need your help!" Zephyr begged. She couldn't do it though. The blood from her ear was starting to drip through the towel. It ran down Gypsy's arm and Zephyr's eyes widened. "No! Gypsy no! I need-" she stopped and glanced back at me. I raised an eyebrow and Zephyr took a deep breath. "I need you to stay with me." Zephyr said. Gypsy's eyes met hers. "Don't you leave me now, you villain. I need you." Zephyr huffed a laugh. Gypsy only blinked slower and started to lean forward in the chair. "Please, Gypsy. This is what I want. You said you'd give me anything I wanted? Well I want you to stay with me! Please! I want you to fight through this, because I love you! And I can't do any of this without you! Please... baby, please." Zephyr begged. Gypsy's eyes shot open. "Babe! Are you ok? Can you hear me?" Zephyr asked. Gypsy groaned in pain and threw the towel on the floor. Then she stood up and practically fell onto the computer table. She struggled to lift her hand, but Zephyr stood behind her and lifted it for her. "Tell me what it is, and I'll help you. Red, go bring everyone inside. That's the only way they'll be safe." Zephyr ordered, and I nodded. "Good job, Cyber." I smiled. She smiled back at me and I left.
"Silver! Dylan!" I called her down from the sky. "There you are! We need your help!" She said. "Zephyr has a plan but we need to get everyone inside now!" I yelled. She nodded. "Got it! I'll spread the word in the air. You get everyone on the ground!" She replied. "Thanks, Sil." I ran off to the first person I could find. "Cyan! Over here!" I bolted over to Ella. She shot an arrow and looked over at me. "We need to get inside! Go spread the word with our parents. I'll get our team." I said. "What? But why?" She asked. "Would you rather stay out here?!" I yelled. She lowered her bow. "Hell no! Ok, I'll tell them. Be careful, Red." Ella ran off and I took a deep breath. "That's not that easy." I sighed.
"Blue! Lime! Get inside! Now!" I thought they were the last two, but Connor stopped me before we went in. "Riley's still out there!" He pointed to the right. "What?! Ugh!" I groaned and ran back out. "Black! Black where are you? Riley!" I shouted. "Addison!" My mom dropped in beside me. "Get inside! Haven't you heard?" Red asked. "Mom, I have to find Riley. She's still out here!" I panicked. "Let one of the adults find her! I won't risk you getting squashed by one of these things!" Kayla exclaimed. "Mom! I have to do this! Please! She's my teammate!" I shouted. Kayla sighed heavily. "Ok! I'll cover you, but hurry!" She said. So I ran back into the field and tried my hardest to avoid the giant claws of the dinotrons. "Black! Riley!" I shouted for her again. "Addison!" I heard her voice, but I couldn't see her. I stopped to look around for her, but I couldn't see her anywhere. "Addison, look out!" Riley yelled. Finally, I saw her running towards me, and I ran back at her. "Riley! Thank god!" I rested my hands on her shoulders. "Crap! We gotta run!" She wrapped her arm around my waist and shot her grapple away. It sucked us out of the way just as a dinotron leaned down to bite us. We landed on top of the matrix. "You saved me!" I exclaimed. "Duh! You're my family!" Riley replied. I was taken back. "I am?" I asked. Her face reddened. "Uh-" She was cut off when my mom landed beside us. "Ok! Inside everybody!" She ordered, and we all retreated.
