Lizz's POV
Aurelia's armor was black, silver, and red, with a badge that made it known she was the captain. As we came up on the battlefield, everyone started to shake. We had never faced something like this. "Gold! Orange! Help clear a way for the four of us to get to that spire!" Zephyr ordered. "You got it. Cyan, lead the team. We'll be back soon." Retro replied, and Ella agreed. "Aurelia, I only see adults fighting for the enemy. Where are all of your friends?" I asked. "At the tower. It might be best that your friends take some backup." She suggested. "Hurricane, Spark Hound, follow them! Make sure they get there!" I ordered. "On it!" Cleo turned her staff into a hover board and I just stared at her in shock for a moment. "I'll explain later. Just be glad for now." She laughed, and flew off with Blaire. I shook my head to snap out of it and walked up beside Kat. "What are you thinking?" I asked. "Other than that we won't make a difference? Someone on their side must be incredibly strong to keep all of our parents held back. If we can find their head warrior, we can take them down." Kat explained. "Like Achilles in the Trojan war?" I asked. "I was thinking more of Hector, but yeah." She nodded. "Can you guys not?" Kai asked. We turned around to face her. "Hey! You're a god! Can't you do something?" I asked. "Ha! If you mean stopping this then no. Not without my mom beating my ass later, but! I can literally hold the line so that the other side cannot get past." She explained. "Great! Do that." I spat. She sighed and set her hair ablaze. "Everybody close your eyes. This might get bright." She warned. Kai's fists started glowing, and we put our hands over our eyes. Then Kai ran forward and swung her fists out in front of her, causing a bright blue shock wave to flash forward. It blasted the enemies back, but not any of the resistance. When the flash faded, a dark thick blue line was drawn all the way across the field, acting as a wall against the other side. "That's all I can do. Good luck." Kai teleported away.

The flash made everyone stop, and look back at us. We ran up to our parents. "Paws! We made it! How can we help?" I asked. "Gosh! I've never been so glad to see you!" She laughed. "Talon and Rover are going to shut down that spire. Aurelia thinks that's where this mind control spell is coming from." Kat explained. "They're what?! Oh my god-" She took a deep shaky breath. "Relax, they have backup. What do you need from us?" I asked. "Funny you would ask that, because I've been fighting the same two people for three days and I think I'm gonna pass out if I stop!" She groaned. "Huh?" I raised an eyebrow. "But hey! You probably know how to stop them, right? Since they're your dads." She smiled nervously. "What?!" We shrieked. Just then, a ball of light flew across the field and landed just before the wall. "That's them." Paws groaned. Charlie and Zed slowly emerged from the light, in human form. They looked younger, but they were still adults. "Well... there's your Hector." I looked at Kat. She slowly turned to me with the most horrified look on her face. "You think you can hide behind a wall? I didn't take you for a coward, Paws." Zed snarled. Apollo took a deep breath and sighed heavily. "Paws wait. We'll handle them. You need to regain your strength. You, and all of the adults. Let us hold them off while you recharge." I said. She smiled at us. "Thanks girls." She exhaled in relief.

Charlie and Zed wore black armor with gold trimming. Charlie was empty handed, but Zed held a massive battle axe. "Radar, you're better at power blasts than me. Take Charlie, and I'll handle Zed." I created a sword and Kat nodded in agreement. "Good luck, Sonar." She replied, and took to the air. I ran at Zed and swung my sword at him, but he simply caught it with his axe and moved it aside. "You really think you'll stand a chance against me? Foolish girl." He chuckled. Zed shoved me back and rested the axe on his shoulder. "But I'm feeling generous. Go ahead. Take the first swing." He smirked. I huffed and came at him again. Zed swiped his foot under my legs, making me fall onto my ass and groan in pain. Then he swung his axe down at my head and I panicked. I held up the sword and pushed back, but he shoved me down flat against the ground. Zed pushed harder and harder, and my hands shook as I tried to keep him away. Even with my super strength, I was no match for his power. "That was pathetic, girl. I haven't even used half of my power." He laughed. My eyes widened as I got an idea, and I immediately teleported away from him. I popped up behind him and super-kicked him into the ground. Then I exhaled in relief and took a quick breath. Zed got right back up and swung the axe at me again. I blocked it with my sword, but he hooked the sword with the axe and swung it away from me. Kat caught it and started using it to deflect Charlie's blasts. Then Zed swung at me again and I simply held up my hand. When the blade touched my hand, it disintegrated immediately, and I had to take a step back to exhale. Zed groaned to himself and punched me across the face. Then he grabbed me by the shoulders, and slammed me into the ground. Before he could do anything else, I blasted him away from me. Then I wobbled back to my feet and panted for breath. Zed flew up above me and blasted a beam down at me. I used the last of my strength to hold up a force field around me. "Radar! Help!" I yelled. I couldn't see her. I kept my head down and focused on holding the shield. That was until I heard a loud blast and Zed's beam stopped. I dropped my force field and Kat flew to me. "Are you ok?" She asked. I took a deep breath and nodded. "What happened?" I asked. Kat smirked and pointed up at Charlie. He panicked and flew down to Zed. "Crap! I'm so sorry! Are you ok?" He asked. "You shot him with Charlie's blast?" I asked, and Kat nodded. "I think we need a new strategy. You wanna work together?" She asked. "Worth a shot." I agreed.

Ella's POV
Addison and I stayed back to back as we fired all along the enemy side. "This is so weird! Fighting alongside our young parents and our older parents? I'm going to be having nightmares for months!" She told me. "That's just you, Red. I really think you should get that checked out." I admitted. "My sleep demons are none of your concern, Cyan." She replied. I laughed, but then we heard a groan from nearby. Lots of people were yelling and groaning, but this was different. I recognized this one. "Dad!" I bolted over to him when I saw him and Addison followed. Trent had been stabbed by a dagger in the waist. Addy shot the guy that hurt him, and I bent down to him. "Dad, can you hear me?" I asked. "Yeah! You gotta help me get behind the line." He groaned. "I'll cover you! Get him out of here!" Addy yelled. "What?! By myself!? I can't carry him! And the line is all the way over there!" I exclaimed. "And your father is bleeding out right here." Addison snapped. I whined nervously and tried to lift my dad, but I couldn't. He tried to stand, but the knife only twisted more, and he fell again, groaning in pain. I panicked and hooked my arms under his shoulders. Then I started dragging him backwards across the ground. Just one step took almost all of my strength, but I couldn't stop now. "Cyan!" Green ran over to us, as I kept dragging him away. "Let me help you." She came up to me, but someone ran up behind her and I gasped. She spun around and punched him away. "Just cover me! I got it!" I groaned, and pulled harder. She was hesitant, but agreed, and I kept dragging my dad. As the line got closer, my feet started to stumble, and sweat started to drip down my face. Still, I got him past the wall, and dropped him as soon as we were safe. "Zill!" I shouted, my voice hoarse. Somehow she heard me, and flew down to help. "Oh my god! Trent are you ok? Can you hear me?" She asked. He slowly looked over at her, but he couldn't respond. "Ok. I can heal this temporarily, but I don't have time to fix it completely. It'd take hours. I'm gonna make him good enough to stand, and then you'll have to take him home to get medical treatment." Zill explained. "Ok. Kai!" I called her and she appeared beside me. "Oh shit! Portal coming up!" She said. "You did great, little Cyan. Now get him home." Zill smiled.
