Chapter 16

JADES POV

"You must be in such shock," Vanessa says as we walk Cara inside.

Professors rush to her aid and they take her to the nurses office and leave us waiting outside.

"Hey you ok?" Niall asks softly.

I nod my head and he gives me a small kiss on my cheek.
Harry's name is running around my head, When I see Niall I think Harry and when I think Harry I think how can I just forget what happened between us?

We arrived back at around 11:45pm and of course all the professors are hounding us as to where we've been in a storm like this and why.

We're soaking wet and I feel like i've got pneumonia my hands are so blue.

Lucy obviously isn't as wet because she brought two waterproofs but the rest of us are dripping.

"Lets get back to our flat," Vanessa says, pulling me to the lifts.

Niall and Lucy follow us into the lift and it's silent the whole way up there until me and Vanessa reach our floor.

Vanessa invites them both in to sleep for the night because we don't want to wake up the boys and can't allow Lucy to go back by herself as we figure Cara will be at the nurses over night just to be safe

I excuse myself and go get in the shower.

After running the hot water for ten minutes, I hop in, feeling the rush of the burn the water is giving me, it feels so good to be warm.

I wash my hair and clean my body with my favourite shower beauty products before getting out and wrapping my towel around me.

I walk back into the living room to just see Niall sat on the sofa.

"Where are Nessa and Lucy?" I question, towel drying my hair.

I see him looking me up and down in a daze, I'm still in my towel. Typical boy.

"They went to get me some clothes and some for Lucy," he replies, still staring.

"Oh, well i'll go get some pyjamas," I say, quickly rushing into the bedroom.

I slip on a grey crop top and some grey shorts, with my black fluffy socks and dry my hair.

Dragging myself back into the living room, Niall's chuckling to himself at Friends that's mid-play on the tv.

"Didn't know you were a friends fan," I smile, sitting myself next to him.

"There are a lot of things you don't know about me Jade," he smirks, fixing his eyes back to the television.

"Go on then. Tell me all about yourself Mr Interesting," I joke, watching as he turns Friends down and faces me.

"Well, I come from Mullingar in Ireland," he begins.

"I gathered," I smirk.

"Pretty sure everyone has. Anyway, I love football, golf, but the one thing I love most is music, even sometimes more than food and that my friend is saying something. My favourite restaurant is Nandos, I love Friends, sponge-bob, all sorts really," he tells me.

"Nice to know," I grin, turning Friends back up and getting comfortable.

"Oh my god," Vanessa says, bursting through the door.

"I know, I can't believe it," Lucy cries, doing a jumping dance with Vanessa.

"Whats up with you?" I ask.

"We just got told some information!" Vanessa says, throwing Niall some clean clothes as he goes to the bathroom.

"Go on then spill," I say eagerly.

"Well, we went down the hallway to get Niall's clothes but bumped into Zayn and he asked about Cara then told us he feels like something's going on between the two of them," Lucy tells me, looking excited.

"Really? I guess that's why she told me she doesn't care about me and Niall anymore. Unless that was the vodka talking."

"She does move on quickly doesn't she? Although they have spent a lot of time together since she's been so upset about you and Niall maybe that's what brought them together," shrugs, grabbing herself a cider from the fridge.

"So what was the big news?" Niall asks, walking in without a shirt on.

"First of all, I'm pretty sure I grabbed a shirt when I got you clothes so put it on. Second of all, Cara and Zayn might have a little something going on," Lucy explains bluntly.

"Serious?" Niall asks, looking kind of confused.

"Yep, we all said she looks as though she moved on fast," Vanessa adds, joining me on the sofa.

"Oh and by the way Luce, you grabbed shorts not a t-shirt," Niall calls to her when she's gone in the bedroom to get changed.

I don't realise I'm staring at Niall until he embarrasses me by pointing it out.

"Like what you see Jade?" he winks.

I blush crimson and shame my head at him.

He looks at me with a smile, raising his eyebrows, implying that I'm not telling the truth.

"Honestly, not much to like anyways," I tease, hopping off the sofa and hesitantly joining Lucy in the bedroom.

"Hi Luce can we talk?" I ask and she slowly nods.

"I just wanted to apologise for the other night. I shouldn't have said what I did, it's none of my business," I tell her, sitting on my bed.

"No it's ok. I shouldn't have acted like that I know you were just looking out for me," she smiles.

"So...You and Niall?" she asks, obviously intrigued.

"There is no me and Niall," I say.

"Do you want there to be?" she questions, sitting opposite me.

"Even if I did, now's not the time," I sigh.

"I'll take that...As a yes," she smirks, heading out of the room.

In all honesty, part of me does want to give him a chance but another part told me that what me and Harry shared can't go forgotten.
