JADES POV
They still won't let us in, beeps, the scuffle of shoes, shouts and bangs are heard from the room and I don't know what to do.
"Jade we need to get Lou," Cara mumbles, were sat on the chairs, arms wrapped around each other still crying.
"Yeah. I'll do it," I sniff, getting out my phone and dialing his number.
It takes one ring for him to pick up.
"Louis, come to the hospital, quickly," I say, tears rolling from my eyes.
"Jade whats happened?" he cries, the worry in his voice evident.
"I don't know, the machine began to beep, and they won't let us in... and just come quickly," I plead and he hangs up.
After minutes he bursts through the double doors and shoots into the room only to be dragged out by the same man.
"Stay out here," he orders.
"No! That's my girlfriend in there and I'm not leaving her alone," Louis shouts.
"We understand but you need to sit out here while we do this," the man says.
"You don't fucking understand," Louis bellows, falling into a crouching position, pulling at his hair in frustration as more tears come out.
"We'll give you news when we get any," the man mutters, then shuts the door behind him.
I run over to Louis and lift him back up and he falls into my arms, sobbing on my shoulder.
"Lou its ok," I say, biting my lip as I try not to cry as much as I want to.
"What if she d-"
"Don't say that," I beg, holding onto him and squeezing my eyes shut.
My phone begins to vibrate from my back pocket and I hand Lou over to Cara as I leave the room to answer my call.
"Hello?" I mutter.
"Jade?" his voice asks, it calms me, makes me feel safe but I need him here.
"Ni, please come to the hospital I need you," I plead.
"I'll be right there," he says and hangs up before I go back to my seat and let the tears sting my eyes before falling onto my pink stained cheeks.
I wait for him, the anticipation killing me, I just want him to hold me.
He bursts through the doors and as soon as he sees me, lifts me up into his arms as I cry, inhaling his scent and feeling somewhat comforted.
"Whats happened?" he mutters, pulling away and wiping away my tears with his thumb.
"I don't know. She's in there and her machine it just began to beep I froze," I say, hating myself for not acting.
"She'll be ok. The doctors will save her," Niall insists, holding me against him again.
"What if they don't?" I break down, feeling like a wave of tears are attacking my cheeks.
"They will," he says, kissing my cheek and walking over to the seats sitting me on his lap.
The door of her room swings open and the man from earlier comes in looking like he has news.
"Is she ok?" Louis cries, standing from his chair.
"Yes, she's alright. I have news, its good news, in fact great news for her condition," the man begins.
"Go on?" Cara urges.
"She's awake," he smiles and tears of happiness ooze from my eyes as I hug Niall as tightly as possible still crying.
I turn around to see Louis already racing through the door to her bedside and we follow.
Her piercing green eyes are searching the room.
She's finally awake.
I feel a bubble of happiness float around in my stomach and I grip onto Niall's arm feeling overwhelmed.
Louis is crying so much, his cheeks as pink as a flamingo and his smile so big.
"She's actually awake," he cries, crying even more before taking her hand and kissing the back of it over and over again.
"I thought I'd lost you," he breathes, squeezing his eyes shut.
"Vanessa. Are you really awake?" Cara asks, from the bottom of the bed, her hand over her mouth in disbelief.
I wait, watching Vanessa's eyes divert from each one of us before she opens her mouth to speak.
Just to hear her voice again will be the best thing in the world.
"Who-Who's Vanessa?" she says.
