Chapter Seventy- Nine

"You've got 15 minutes with him." The guard closes Xavier and I into the room with the man who I paralyzed who I now know as Tyler Munn. His eyes widen when he sees my face and he fights against his restraints around his wrists.

"No! Please! Help me!" He thrashed his arms around crying.

I smirk amused.

"I'd stand and enjoy this more but we have limited time. And you can keep screaming for help but money talks and my fiancé's have big mouths so nobody is coming to help you."

"You've already paralyzed and had me locked up what else do you want from me?!"

"Stop the scared guy act I know you mind controlled Xavier and then tried to have him do the same to me." He wipes his tears dramatically and a sadistic smile forms one his face.

"Whatever do you mean? I'm just a scared helpless paralyzed man!" He mocks holding his hand to his chest.

"Tell me where your little bitches are and we can be on our way with no trouble. Don't, and I will make your life even more miserable than it already is and then make you tell me. Either way I'm going to have my answers, it's up to you if you get to remain intact." I smile running the blade down his cheek drawing a line of blood.

"I have nothing left to lose." He leans back as far as the handcuffs will let him.

"We will see."

"We don't have a lot of time left you might wanna move this along Yanis." Xavier says. I nod and begin my song. Tyler looks smug for a moment as nothing happens until he feels sweat start to build on his forehead. He begins breathing harder and his skin begins taking on a pink color.

"What the fuck?!" He yells straining his neck to wipe his sweat on his shoulder.

I continue singing with a smirk slowly bringing the water in his body to a boil.

"Tell us and she stops." Xavier says.

He grits his teeth and keeps his mouth shut.

Oh you're not going to win this buddy. I crank up the heat and he thrashes his entire upper body around panting.

"Please! Please! I'll talk!" I stop singing and look at him waiting for him to speak.

He begins talking but I hold up my hand Xavier quickly connecting a few wires to him.

"Don't try lying or she'll cook you." Xavier motions to the wires watching the device that will tell him whether or not Munn is lying or not.

"One more minute!" The guard yells.

"Speak now." I urge.

He swallows before speaking but gives us the coordinates of the places him and his group have their mind control technologies. The lie detector confirms he didn't lie and we make our way out without another word.

The first coordinates lead us to a fancy apartment building we swiftly knock the doorman out not knowing his affiliations and make our way to the penthouse.

We silently go up the elevator until the ding and the sound of the doors opening breaks it.

"Who the fu-" the man is cut off by water encasing him and the 3 people around him freezing them in place. People begin firing at us and I direct the water in front of us freezing it and catching all of the bullets. I quickly scan the room and see that there are only about 5 of them left in here. I change my pitch and begin freezing the water in their bodies freezing them in place almost like a statue. I stop my song and catch my breath.

"Fury said to text this number and then head to the next place he'll take care of the rest. Xavier says holding up his phone showing me the messages. I nod my head and pull out my phone where I put the coordinates. Xavier and I move swiftly through back alleys side streets and backyards to get to the next coordinates which lead us to a trailer. We burst through the door and the only person there is an older man who doesn't put up a fight when I handcuff his hands and feet in ice. I look around the trailer and around the edges is littered with different machines and technology. We bring the older man outside locking up the trailer and telling Fury to come.

We repeat this process multiple times until we come to the last set of coordinates. It's the furthest place and also the biggest, fanciest, and most secluded.

"This must be someone and somewhere important." I smirk anticipation building. Xavier smiles back at me and we move in scaling the side of the building using the ivy growing on the wall for assistance. I peek through a window and see an empty room. I sing a silent note and shatter the bullet proof glass heaving my body through the window and helping Xavier up.

I look around the room for a moment before I hear heavy footsteps fast approaching. I step in front of Xavier and sturdy myself on the floor and as soon as the door swings open I direct my scream at the group and knock them all out. Xavier and I quickly move over their bodies into the hallway. We run around like chickens with our heads cut off not sure where to go or what to do besides fight and subdue anyone who gets in our way.

Xavier and I fight back to back knocking people out with the hilts of our guns moving together like a dance. Nobody is able to touch us and we manage to clear an entire hallways of guards in less then 5 minutes. We lean against each other breathing hard looking over the sprawled unconscious bodies on the floor.

"Security is getting to the smaller but stronger groups, we must be getting close to something." I say moving forward wasting no more time on breathing.

I sing and freeze the unconscious guards between two unclimbable, impenetrable blocks of ice.

We continue fighting our way though the massive building until we end up in front of two massive golden doors.

"This isn't obvious or anything." I smirk before pushing open the doors revealing the man I paralyzed Tyler Munn.

"You're supposed to be in prison!" I scream pulling out my gun aiming it at him.

"But I am." He smirks turning a screen to us showing someone who looks just like him in a jail cell.

"Stop breathing." The man says into a microphone and the man who looks just like him stands and holds his breath until his face turns blue and he passes out and dies. We watch on with horror unable to do anything.

"When we invaded that messed up little mind of yours and latched onto your device we were able to mimic it and capture a siren mind controlling it to take my place in prison. Well, and to get you here." He smiles eye twitching slightly. I clench my fists together biting back tears.

"You paralyzed me and took everything from me locking me away! Like I said before I have nothing left to lose."

And with that he presses a button and the floor crumbles, walls cracking and the flames fill the room instantly. The only thing I can hear is the loud boom from the explosions before I slip away.
