Tora smashed her fist against the wall, though her target was the vampire that was just there before moving out the way. Then, a couple blood spears appeared and rushed towards her.

She managed to dodge the blood spears by jumping up and landing on one of the rooftops. That's when the vampire appeared before her, ready for another round.

"Huff...weren't you tired before?" Tora said, somewhat out of breath. "You seemed pretty keen on drinking my blood earlier, and now you're zipping around my district like your behavior before was a foggy memory."

When Tora first encountered the Vampire named Carmilla, she was so weak that she attacked her without hesitation, just to get some blood. But now, it seems like that was nothing more than an illusion.

"Heh...don't underestimate me, girl. I didn't become the Vampire Queen because of my good looks, did I?"

"I wouldn't know, since you don't seem that much of a looker,"

"Tch! You little brat!" Carmilla then lunged after Tora, who got into a defensive stance, ready to intercept her attacks.

The vampire tried clawing at the Byakko Head, but she managed to dodge and or block her attacks with relative ease. Still, it doesn't look like she can keep it up forever.

Every minute Tora fights this vampire, the more she feels herself losing control over the White Tiger Guardian within her. She gets more agitated and thirstier for combat to the point where if she spotted a strong enemy, she'll attack them in an instant.

That's why she's been held up in her domain. She doesn't want to run the risk of running rampant.

Not that it mattered much in her case, since her predecessors had the same issues...

"A-agh...!" Tora yelped as she felt a sharp pain in her leg.

Looking down, she noticed a shadow wolf biting at her. She quickly kicked it away, turning it into black mist.

Suddenly, Carmilla got a hold of Tora's neck. That shadow wolf was a mere distraction for her to get close to the Byakko Head.

The vampire tightened her grip around Tora, trying to choke her. Tora then grabbed a hold of Carmilla's arm and lifted herself up to kick her away.

After having a coughing fit, Tora decided to get serious. Focusing her mana, she activated her [Lighting Magic] skill. Electricity then started spreading across her body like it was armor, making sparks fly out.

[Electric Aura]. It was a high-rank lighting magic spell that acts as a protective body shield.

Tora didn't want to use Lighting Magic, but she felt there was no other choice since she's fighting a rather powerful vampire. The reason for her hesitation is because her Lightning Magic derives from the Byakko Guardian.

And for a while, using any abilities from the guardian ran the risk of her losing control. So, since she was using its powers now, it means she's desperate.

"Let's try this again, shall we?" Tora smiled, ready for another fight.

"Don't get cocky, brat!" Growing frustrated, Carmilla summoned about a dozen blood spears.

They floated around her, aiming right at the Byakko Head. Tora didn't falter and tried to figure out a plan.

Those blood spears can act as both defense and offense. If Tora stands there, she'll have to either evade or block those spears. The same goes for if she charges at the vampire.
