After that administrator slipped through my fingers, I went back home to ponder over what just happened.

How was that guy able to cast a portal? I checked if over with [Map] to see if any relics were on him, and the other thing I saw on him was that stupid Void Cloak that Luther had before.

Hang on...the Void Cloak is like [Storage] that allows you to put anything in there. Although I can look for relics, I can't find them if they're in some kind [Storage] based item.

Morrow didn't have the ability to cast a [Gate] spell since he doesn't have the Space Magic skill, so that meant he used a Gate Stone. And he hid the damn thing in his Void Cloak.

Dammit...I let my guard down. I should've been more mindful about that cloak of his due to how he can store stuff in it. Who knows what else he had in that thing.

I need to make sure I'm not caught with my pants down next time. I'll have to come up with contingency plans for the next time I encounter Morrow again. And I do plan to see him again to make him pay.

Anyway, with that out of the way, I went back home to work on some more of my research. Just as I did, Thana showed up.

"Master, let's do a quest!" She yelled while jumping up and down in joy.

And where were you when I was facing off against that annoying cult fanatic? Putting that thought aside, I pondered over Thana's request.

"Why the sudden request?" I asked.

"Because it's been a while! Plus, you never take me on your bandit excursions!"

That's because I can't risk people finding out about me causing trouble in bandit territory. Especially the Crime lords who I'm hunting down along with Aarc.

If they find out about both the guy who takes down bandits and Damien Crow wielding the same weapon, they'll get suspicious. That's why I never take down bandits with Thana.

I get that she feels lonely and all that, but I'm not risking getting recognize. And before you ask, yeah, no one knows that Damien Crow is taking down big time Crime Bosses. They think it's another guy. An urban legend according to the criminals, really, but more on that later.

"Alright, we'll go on a quest," I conceded to Thana's request and got ready to head to the guild.

It seemed that Amy and Vlad wanted to tag along. Arri as well, which was a real shocker, considering that she doesn't like adventurers thanks to her previous experience with them.

Anyway, with the whole gang together, we over to the Guild to find a quest to do. I opened up a [Gate] portal, and we found ourselves in an alleyway. This time, though, we were a little closer to the Adventurers Guild Building.

After entering it, we went over to the board to check out any interesting quests. While we did this, I started overhearing some adventurers talking about something.

"Hey, did you hear about those bandits and their crime boss getting arrested by the soldiers?"

"Hmm? Yeah, I did. You think it was The Phantom, Alastor, again?"

"It's gotta be, right? He's the only guy that's been gunning for those bandits and their bosses so frequently."

{...Pfft!}

[Shut up...] I mentally hushed Alpha that started laughing.

"You think the rumors about the guy are true? I-is he really a ghost that haunts bandits and takes them down? Like a vengeful spirit?"

"Hell, if I know. But, from what I heard, he does have the traits of one. He can walk through walls, fly, and nothing can touch him. Plus, he can move stuff like a poltergeist would! He's gotta be a ghost."
