After our little adventurer in Desmond's secret base, all of us went back to the mansion on level ground. We called Van and told him he could bring the others back to the mansion. Once everyone was back and doing their jobs around the house, we got Van to participate in our meeting about Zemmi being a First Generation.

When we told Van about this, he was just as surprised as the rest of us. I honestly thought he knew, but apparently, Zemmi kept this little secret to herself.

Anyway, with Van with us, we all looked at Zemmi, waiting for her to explain herself.

"There's not much to explain. I just didn't want anyone knowing about me being a first generation. For all the people know, the first generation are all dead."

"Well, that's a lie since we're looking at one right now," I said with a glare. "Why would you keep this a secret anyway? More importantly, how come you aren't dead like the rest of your kind?"

It was really strange to see a first generation here. From what Zemmi told us, anything related to the Elders, including the first generation, were destroyed, yet here's one in front of us.

"Hey, Amy, do you know anything about this?" Since Amy was Zerris's daughter and someone involved in the war herself, she should have some information on this.

"After the war ended, the gods were decided to first generation's fate. Knowing that they were the Elders' creations, they would likely turn on the gods if given the chance, so they got rid of them. Well, most of them anyway."

Which means the gods spared some of them. But for what reason? Zemmi was the one who answered this question.

"There were a few of us first generations that were spared for the sole purpose of being repaid for our loyalty and service. But, above all else, we were used as their helpers to keep an eye on the world they would remake."

"What were you helping them with?" I asked.

"We mostly just made sure that any evidence of the elders remained erased, and if someone discovered them, we would take actions to deal with them. In the past, when the gods remade their world, they were quite a few second generations that discovered the Elders and even tried to free them. Luckily, we first generations disposed of them before it came to that. The remaining first generations and I would do anything to keep the Elders from coming back, so we did what we could to prevent that. The gods knew about our major repulsion against the Elders and made quick use of us. In exchange, we live to serve them."

So, to keep them from getting killed, Zemmi and the others agreed to help keep the existence of the Elders a secret. I'm surprised the gods went with that, but then again, I can also see why they did it. They basically used the remaining first generation as spies and used them to secretly get rid of any evidence of the Elders.

You know, now that I think about it, they did a piss poor job of doing that. I have about an entire library of Elder and First-Generation secrets and another floor of weapons with Elder Enchantments, and also another floor where I found an android that likely has an entire archive of Elder knowledge inside her database.

I wonder how they missed that much. I mean, there's no way that couldn't find something like this, right? Maybe it was some kind of warding spell?

Actually, maybe Emma knows. Desmond might've kept an archive of such information in Emma to tell me everything.

However, when I posed the question to Emma about it, she denied it stating, in her words, "my data shows no records of how my father happen upon the Elder Relics." Apparently, she was created after Desmond discovered and or found all those Elder related items. In fact, it was because of the materials and information that was contained that allowed him to make Emma in the first place.
