"Now then, let's get on with the Troll crisis," Simon said with a serious expression.

"I guess I should ask about when this all started, right?" I asked.

Simon nodded his head. "Yes. The appearance of the S-ranked troll happened somewhat recently actually. Before that, we've only been dealing with the C-rank trolls."

So the S-rank Troll only showed up just now, huh? I wonder how the thing even got so strong.

"Is the average rank of trolls C-rank?"

"That's correct. Having an S-rank troll is actually very rare. The highest a troll has ever gotten was A-rank."

"I see."

This seems pretty serious then. If having S-rank trolls are rare, then having one right now means somethings up.

...Could it be Emilia?

"Are the Trolls undead?" I questioned.

Simon looked confused at the moment but shook his head. "No, they are very much alive. The S-rank troll is also among the living."

Ok, so it's not her. I should be relieved, but I mostly feel irritated.

That woman's been in hiding since the Undead Orcs crisis. Her name was Emilia Warden, also known as the Lich Queen.

She caused a little trouble by raising an undead army of Orcs and sending them after me. Since then, I've been trying to find her and give her a piece of my mind.

Since she's not involved with the trolls, this is probably something else.

"Alright, so what does the S-rank Troll look like?" I asked.

"Well, normal trolls have green skin, but this one has red. And its eyes were bright yellow, like they were glowing."

"So, you've seen it for yourself?"

Simon nods. "I sent out an investigation team to check out the troll activity, and I participated as well. The S-ranked troll was accompanied by five or so regular trolls. It seems that they were hunting because they had fresh game over their shoulders."

"Did you fight it?"

This time, Simon shakes his head. "Luckily, no. My current abilities aren't on par with it. I could easily wipe out the regular C-ranked trolls, but that S-rank would've been trouble."

Hmm, so it's that bad, huh? Speaking of which, what's his status like?

In this world, there's this system that shows people's statuses like their you would see in a game. You see the name, race, age, level, skills, and stats of a person.

Hopefully, this guy doesn't that a detection skill, because that's one of the few skills that alerts you of getting appraised. I soon took a look at his status, though what I saw surprised me.
