Yeah, this is bad, and I mean really bad. As soon as Drake and I encountered one another, I soon heard an explosion and a big black puff of smoke appeared nearby.

What the hell happened? Did a bomb go off or something? I could see the people nearby panicking and running away in fear.

This was bad. Drake's doing exactly what he was hired to do and that's causing chaos. What exactly did he do and how many more of them does he have on hand?

As I tried to figure this out, Drake let out a hearty laugh. "Haha! Looks like Haga started the show. Good."

Haga? Who the hell is that? Wait, does he mean his partner?

While I had the chance, I used [Map] and searched the name <Haga>, and somehow I managed to get a match. Her full name was Haga Usagi, and according to her stats, she was definitely a force to be reckoned with.

Her stats were over five million, so she's definitely above an S-rank adventurer and now on SS-rank territory. There aren't too many people like her, so seeing this caught me off guard. Hell, her stats were a little above Vlad's, so I was really worried about him if he squared off with her.

As we all know by now, stats aren't everything. It's the experience with combat along with the stats to go with it. Although Vlad's strong, he isn't all that experienced is fighting. Taking down monsters is one thing, but going up against an intelligent being was another matter.

Plus, I was worried about a couple of Haga's skills. Just as I already deduced, she's a psychic user and her skills were pretty much what I would've expected. Like her [Psychic Magic] skill.

Though, what really worries me was her [Dagger Arts: Intermediate] Skill. This tells me that she knows her way around a blade, which is nerve-wracking.

Vlad's swordsmanship skill was also an intermediate, but he recently just got it to that level. Haga's dagger arts skill might actually be bordering on mastery.

I just hope that Vlad doesn't fight her alone. That's when I remembered Amy and the others. Since they're in the equation, Vlad should be fine.

Right now, though, I had to deal with my own problem at the moment. I then glared at Drake, who was watching the show below us. He then too looked over at me.

"I guess we should get started, huh?" He said in a sinister tone.

"I guess so," I replied.

[Let's do this, master!] Thana was pumped up, so I pulled her out of her sheath and pointed the tip at Drake.

"Don't think you'll escape me this time."

"Not to worry. I'm not going anywhere."

We then had a stand-off. We glared at one another for a few moments while the chaos on the streets was going on.

Ignore it, Damien. Focus on the cause. Focus on Drake.

Tuning out the screaming people, I poured all my attention into my opponent. Thanks to Zemmi's training, I'm able to watch every move he makes. From the way, his hands twitch to how he careful moves.

It seems that he's waiting for me to attack like I was with him. Fine, I guess I'll go first then.

Readying Thana, I rushed towards Drake aiming right at his neck. Just as I was about to slash and make contact, he quickly ducked and poked me in the stomach with his cane.

Although I say poke, it was more like a thrust because the tip of his cane dug deep into my gut. I quickly backed away and cast a fireball at him. That's when he effortlessly dodged them while doing a...somersault?
